The first day/night were great, but the second day the health department closed the pool (which I had been swimming in less that 24 hours prior) and on day 3, at 10:40 am (check out time is 11), I could not find anyone to check me out. I’m still a little concerned that I was told by housekeeping (after ringing a bell and waiting forever) to just leave the room keys and it would be fine. I like to have closure with people who have my credit card on file.

Nice hotel, clean, comfy bed, great shower, decent breakfast, pool, luggage cart, pretty quiet other than a noisy vent in the bathroom, pretty good cleaning crew, ice machine, vending machine, was able to park close to the door. Staff was OK, not exceptionally friendly but decent. Coffee pot in the room was appreciated, I used it for hot tea. Super close to Carowinds. Restaurants close by, some are walking distance. Gas station close by.

The entry drive to the hotel and the parking lot are in poor condition. Lot needs repaving, very little care taken for the growth along the drive and around the property in general. The aesthetics as you enter make it appear that we had selected a dump. The hotel itself was well taken care of and the staff gracious. Just gives the opposite impression from when you turn in at the hotel sign and all around the outside.

Booked two rooms. The only Pros are the location specially if you’re visiting Carowinds park, good pricing for last-minute bookings, good parking and acceptable cleanliness. The Cons are property bad conditions (business center with bad chairs, old elevator) and also the cleanliness of the A/C, need improvements.

Convenient location to Carowinds Amusement Park. A little hard to find. I stayed 3 nights and never got any housekeeping. I found small bugs on the wall in the Bathroom.

Solid location away from traffic noise bit still very near Carowinds. Great service and staff. Very clean room, comfortable bed, fantastic AC. Common areas kept very clean. Could use some updating. For the price A+.

Not a great stay, would not return. Frequent noise from the room above. Not particularly clean (hairs around, cleanable spots on toilet, bugs in the room). But the toughest part of all was the front desk staff walking into my room unannounced 1 hour before check-out, declaring he was housekeeping. Then 5 minutes later, housekeeping also knocked to check in. They lightly apologized. I stayed there because it has decent reviews, but there are hotels in the area costing half the rate which couldn't be much worse.

The room we stayed in was not terrible and it was perfect distance for carowinds. However, after coming home from a long day out the last thing we wanted to run into was multiple stink bugs in our room. We called reception and they could only offer us a spray of the room since the other rooms were booked. We kind of gave up and didn’t have the best sleep.

Stopped for the night on the way back from Cocoa Beach to Ohio. Very clean room and bathroom. Very courteous & friendly staff. Room was a bit dated(no USB outlets, pillows could be better), but if you travel and don't carry a brick or two, are you really a traveler? We would definitely stay again.

All in all this was a great value stay with above expectations amenities given the cost. Despite being near a highway, I really heard no noise through the night. It was very peaceful for me. I also loved the water pressure, room size, and the staff. There was one considerable draw back: the beds are very firm. I mean very firm. Strangely it may have been good for my back given how I felt waking up, but it took a while to fall asleep because I'm not used to such firm beds. All in all, next time I visit the Charlotte area, I'd definitely consider this place again, though I might bring a bed topper to make it a little less firm for myself.

I stayed 2 nights. The hotel was mostly vacant. However there was someone in the room directly above me and I could hear every step they took through the thin ceiling. The breakfast window is rather short (7-9am) and would better serve guests if it were open from say, 6-10am.

This hotel was not good at all. As soon as we drove in, property looked dirty, the building looked very old. When we walked in the lobby, smell was horrible even at 11:00pm. TV in the room didn’t work. There were old smelly blankets, horrible beds and pillows. The curtains looked very old as well. All lamps were bright, some didn’t have light bulbs. The carpet in general smelled and was old. Not good hotel at all.

Staff at front desk barley spoke English. The noise level was high. We didn't sleep at all from hearing everyone above us and in the hallways. They charged me an extra $35.00 dollars to check in 1 hour early. I've never had a hotel do that before. Plus, this hotel was not worth the price we were charged to stay there. I will be booking somewhere else the next time I travel to that area.

Hotel manager was very nice. Greeted us. Ensured breakfast was maintained along with a clean area. The hurricane was coming through and ensured the inside walkways remained dry as best as he could. Excellent place to stay.

This was the worst hotel stay that I've ever experienced. It took over an hour to check in. First, the agent argued that my reservation was cancelled although I showed her an active booking. I paid via Expedia. Apparently, Expedia's payment to the hotel did not go through. It could have been an easy fix. All the agent had to do was call Expedia. She literally looked at me and kept saying over and over again that the payment isn't going through. I finally contacted Expedia for help. After over an hour of waiting, the issue was resolved. I reserved a room w/ a spa bathtub. I was given a totally different room. Once again, all she had to do was let me know the room type was unavailable. What a crazy way to begin my couples trip. I highly advise anyone to NOT STAY HERE. The customer service is terrible!!!

My mom and I stayed for a weekend mother daughter trip, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! The area the hotel is in is very quiet, walkable to lots of dining options, and the staff at the front desk were very pleasant to us during the trip especially Saturday night when our keys did not work for the door. The housekeeping staff was also awesome since they maintained our rooms every day when we are used to hotels to not doing that anymore. The pool was awesome as well, if we were to ever travel back down to this area, we would definitely come back:)

This is a really nice place to stay. I was treated very well and the rooms are extremely well kept. Perfect across the street access to Carowinds. Can walk to Starbucks, Culver’s and Circle K - with the exception of a few locals disturbing the scene, although nothing of concerning manner.

Easy check in. Facilites were great for the price. Very conveniently located to Carowinds, shopping and dining. Only bad things were; GPS had hard time locating it. Uber ride to park was not easy. Would recomend just pay the parking

Check in was quick and easy, everything worked and was clean. Slight smell in the hotel but the room was fine, didn’t bother us on our stay. Had breakfast ready in the morning but we didn’t have time to eat although it smelled good. Overall good experience, had bad times at other unaffiliated hotels so we did inspect the room quite a bit. For the price and location (we stayed for carowinds) you can’t really beat it. PS there’s a Mexican restaurant next door, which is nice for a meal and overconsumption of adult beverages being as you wouldn’t need to drive or get an uber ;)

We stayed overnight after a day at Carowinds. When we pulled up there were a group of 3 men that exited the woods next to the parking lot, which made me a bit nervous. The front desk staff was very friendly, although dressed very casual (random tshirt, shorts, flip flops). The property was appeared tidy. Pool felt warm. The lobby/dining area at the main entrance is very small. Breakfast was pretty limited, and the front desk staff person seemed to be food handling in addition to his front desk duties. There were some minor maintenance issues that could make the room more appealing. My bed was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated after a 10 hour day of walking the park. I would probably stay here again, as the price was right - but only for an overnight pit stop.

Location was good. Room was clean and fairly comfortable. Customer service was lacking in the friendliness department. My one big complaint tho was breakfast. The biscuits were so hard we couldnt break them open to eat. Couldnt cut them with a knife or even stab them with a fork. It was laughable. The eggs were definitely powdered eggs, but of the absolute worst kind and even the cereal was off brand cereal. We threw everything away and went somewhere for breakfast. We arent even food snobs. Ive eaten mediocre food before but this stuff (especially the biscuits) was inedible.

Really enjoyed the location of this property. It was reasonably priced for what we needed. That said, the free breakfast was minimal at best. I don't expect gourmet, but the included breakfast was a deciding factor and we ended up at a restaurant anyway. During our journey, we stayed at multiple hotels, including another BW that offered twice the selection. This one had a tiny pile of undercooked bacon, a few egg patties, bread, yogurt, and a waffle maker. The sausage (I assume) was gone by the time we came down (about halfway through the 2 hours.) It appears that they do not restock as things are emptied. The "warmed" foods were room temp. There were a bunch of peanut butter packets, but only one packet of jelly, which was past expired. We arrived an hour before check-in and unlike the other hotels, this one wanted an extra $25 for those 60 minutes. We opted to go spend that $25 at the Mexican restaurant next door for the hour. The walls and ceilings were thin, but we personally did not have any major noise issues; you can hear the people walking above you however.
