First elevator did not work. Pool water was cold and jacossi didn't work. Staff was incredible. Assume friendly and very helpful. I blame problems on holiday inn and management. I will not reserve there again.

Great place to stay right on the main strip in Deadwood! Beautiful pool and has a casino in it. Excellent breakfast in the morning with fresh ground coffee. Only caviat is the parking area is about two blocks away, but you can pull up to the front of the hotel to unload your things.

Upon arrival we were notified the elevator was not working. They put us on the 4th floor but my dad cant walk up stairs. I asked to be moved to the bottom floor. They couldn't move us. There we no options. The desk clerk was super rude about it. Talked down to me like a child. My elderly father had to climb up 4 flights of stairs. Took us a very long time to get him up there. Due to that, he had to stay in the room for our entire stay. Elevator still isn't working.

Friendly staff, super comfortable bed, clean and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast options. Like all hotels in the downtown historic deadwood, parking is a few blocks offsite, but there are a few spots on the street for loading and unloading at check-in and check out. Pool and hot tub were excellent.

The location and property were great. The room was not cleaned properly. The floor had not been vacuumed. By the time we got settled in, it was late and we waited till the next morning to notify the staff. We asked the clerk to make sure the room was vacuumed before our next night in the room. He argued that it had been vacuumed and checked by the manager on staff. I offered to show him a picture of the lollipop stick and cherry stem that was in the middle of the floor when we checked in and he told me he didn't want to see my picture. He then called the cleaning staff in front of me and told them he was getting is a** chewed by a customer. When we returned to the room that evening, it still had not been vacuumed. Unacceptable for a hotel of this rating and unacceptable behavior by a member of the staff.

Checked in declined rewards a today found out I was signed up anyway. Got to room and one bed was stained, hanger on sprinkler. Went to the front desk to complain and showed them the photo-all that was offered was that she came up and changed the sheets. Dogs were Nextdoor so listened to them for 30 mins. Tried to shower in the morning-limited water pressure so felt like the shower was dribbling on us. No lotion in the container. Not worth the price even with your discount. So disappointing especially for a Holiday Inn

Bathroom was so dirty I didn’t feel comfortable to shower. So much hair still in the drain & pink mold around the edges. Staff at the check in was very rude as well. Will never stay here again. For $450 a night I expected so much better..

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay at this property. Our room & the hotel were very clean. The amenities were great! The location was wonderful. So close & convenient to everything!!! The staff were great. The continental breakfast was good. We loved the freshly brewed ground bean coffee. we would 100% recommend this property.

This hotel was on the Main Street, close to everything you’d like to see. If I had a complaint it would be parking. They give you a card/passcode for a lot 2-3 blocks away and there is no shuttle. It was snowing and/or raining the whole stay so it was inconvenient. Very quiet, breakfast above average however they did run out of things with an hour and a half left of service. Shower water temperature was warm at best, couldn’t get a good hot shower.

Room was clean but a little small to be considered a “suite”. Our window faced the hallway which was awkward. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and accommodating. Location is awesome. We were in the heart of the town which for us is a good thing, other families may find it loud, but we came for the music happening outside :)

We appreciated the proximity to the Main Street in Deadwood. However, the traffic noise associated with this location was quite noisy. I placed my fan app on my phone on high to drown out the noise. The beds were amazingly comfortable!!! Parking is about a block away from the hotel.

The staff was professional Unfortunately there knowledge of activating and de-activating door key cards is in need of some re-training, we checked into our suite early which they allowed us to do. 20 minutes after unpacking checking emails on my phone, when I hear the suite door being opened by someone outside of our suite. Person who I have no idea who he is opens our door like hes walking into his suite...SHOCKED LOOK on both of our faces, as he apologized and quickly shut our door, this was NOT maintenance or cleaning services! My wife was completely freaked out by this as she should be ! What if my wife was in there alone without me there? Just saying train your staff better! INEXCUSABLE Holiday Inn Express Be better

Nice and convenient location in Deadwood. Room was clean but small. Breakfast was very good. At check-in we waited over 15 minutes for desk clerk to show up to check in a line of people at 5:30 pm????? Ask security and other workers and no one knew where the desk clerk was???

We came for a family vacation. The room was okay, and plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable. When we booked the room months ago it never gave us the option for a handicapped room. Which was needed for wheelchair accessibility. There also wasn't an option for military discount. We were told at check in they could apply the discount upon checkout. We stayed 3 nights and checked out on day 4. The staff that worked the night/evening were very friendly and welcoming. They were great. The biggest issue came with the checkout, trying to talk to the "manager" about the military discount and she said she could give us $5 off the total bill. It was over $600 for 3 nights. She was rude beyond measure and really didnt care at all. Because of her actions alone we will never stay here again. Unfortunately we did not get her name, she didn't have a name tag on. My husband is an amputee due to his military service and she was very disrespectful.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was helpful, and we loved that we could walk out the door and see the sights of deadwood. Didn’t need our car the whole time we were there. The breakfast is usually so good at Holiday Inn, but the morning we were there the eggs and biscuits were over cooked. So that was a bummer. Love that they have great options for breakfast like Greek yogurt, cinnamon rolls, etc. We had fun in the pool, glad they had a 10 pm close time for kids so that we could enjoy the hot tub and pool with our 18 kids for an hour.
