The place is a scam. They advertise that they are « pet friendly « but after you have made the reservation and get there to check in they say they don’t accept cats. So they won’t let you in but also say they can’t refund your money. What a scam! Either say that a cat isn’t considered a pet or at least don’t steal your money.

Loved this hotel, but be aware that there’s no elevator. My son uses a wheelchair and Expedia booked us on the second floor. Front staff took care of it and we’re extremely helpful. Loved that there were two room entrances…one through the lobby and one that entered from the parking lot.

We booked at this hotel because it was listed as pet friendly. When we arrived they did not allow us to stay because we had a cat. After 30 minutes on the phone we were able to get our money back but had to spend a lot more time finding another hotel. Expedia told us we should have looked directly at the hotels website for the rules. So what is the point of Expedia.

Very nice Staff was very nice and helpful. Stayed on first floor. I had an assigned parking space right outside my door. So easy to bring things in from the car. Would definitely stay there again.

Very nice. They were undergoing renovations, so a little dusty. Staff was very cordial. We stayed several days. it was a central location to many of the attractions in the area all around the Black Hills. Would stay again.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay. This visit was full of slamming doors, pounding until 1000 pm and very loud and contentious voices in the early morning hours. The room was very close to double the price of our stay last year so I will be looking very carefully when booking our next trip to this area.

The tv didn’t work front desk tried to help gave me a sheet of paper to get the remote working but that did nothing front desk than offered to move us rooms but with a family of 5 I wasn’t moving

The location is great. Several excellent dining options within a 10 minute walk in Spearfish. Price was quite reasonable. The TVs should be upgraded to HDTV.

The location is convenient and fairly quiet. The room was clean and spacious. The indoor and outdoor doors made it especially easy to take our dogs out and to load/unload. The bed is very firm and the pillows are quite small and fluffy.

I travel a bunch and I must say that this is one of the best run hotels I have ever stayed at. Plenty of friendly and productive staff that really care about the guests and the facility. For example, the breakfast staff is incredible with Steve as one person who goes above and beyond. But he is not alone, the other members of the team were always doing what they could to make us feel welcome. Heck, we even recieved a daily text message asking how it was going. I was so impressed by this hotel. Keep it going.

We enjoyed our stay. Our first room's heater was not working and the manager immediately moved us. We appreciated the quick servi e given it was -15 outside and we had arrived so late. The other room was great other than the heater was vwry loud clicking on and off, but we were thankful to hsbe heat!

My son had a baseball tournament in spearfish this weekend (we are from North Dakota) and this hotel had a very good breakfast!!! Also, they had very clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay here!

We loved our stay at the Best Western Black Hills Lodge. Had a nice clean room with comfy beds right near the bar. We had drinks every night at the bar and the bartender was awesome!! Location is perfect and near everything you need. Breakfast was simple but very good. There is nothing we didn’t like about our stay.
