Upon check-in to get your parking pass you get the TIME SHARE SPILL SIGN UP FOR A 90 MINUTE TIME SHARE SPILL. Pool is small and always packed. The bathroms havent been renovated for a while. No maid service but extras were in the closet. You can walk to the strip in 3 minutes. Parking is tight and confusing because of 6 levels and tiny numbers on the room doors. Room was clean everything worked.

Nice location, but had to walk up a lot of hills! No elevator in the building we were in, so we had to carry everything up to the third floor! My wife has arthritis and bad knees, so it wasn’t fun.

Positive: The “Resort” is located in a great area if you like downtown Gatlinburg, TN. The staff at check in & check out were extremely nice. Negative: Advertised 2 swimming pools & Hot Tub but there was no hot tub and only one swimming pool. (The other swimming pool was closed). The pool that was open, was so dirty and disgusting, I wouldn’t even get in. The chairs/loungers were so worn out, they swayed towards the ground. There was one table with one umbrella that was so old. There was no breakfast offered, which surprised me. The restaurant on property was never open. The room, when you walk in the door, foyer to the left had a wall unit air conditioner, with place to hang clothes, sink, and a wall built up (man made) with microwave, one cup coffee maker, which was on top self and you couldn’t move it & I couldn’t reach it to pour water in. The bathroom was through a door at the foyer. The location of the bedroom area was so hot because the placement of the air conditioner and the wall that blocked it. The bed was firm, but not the worst. There was a desk, table for 2, & 2 nightstands. The walls were so thin, you could hear your neighbors very well. The patio was disgusting & looked like coke had been thrown all over them. The only time I saw an employee was at check in/out & when housekeeping was cleaning after a person checked out. Needs a lot of updating. Not at all what I expected for the cost. Very disappointed & would have left if I’d known I’d gotten all my $ back.

We have stayed here many times, it is super convenient to downtown and everything is walkable. Was a little disappointed that the indoor pool and hot tub was closed. And there was no room cleaning and no breakfast.

Very convenient place to stay when you want to be in downtown Gatlinburg. Rooms are outdated but very comfortable. Take note the free breakfast is a grab n go pastry and Keurig coffee pod. I waited an hour to get a hair dryer from the maintenance guy since they didn’t carry them at the front desk. The pool was great too, they do have pool towels at the pool. We will go back!

The room was clean, the mattress was AMAZING, but the AC wasn't cold enough. The location was close to perfect if you just want to park and walk to all the resturants and attractions!!! One pool was closed, but the open pool was extremely clean and peaceful.

Our room was Allright but no hot water barley warm and bathtub had so much hair in it it would not go down i had to Physically get in there with knife and Needle nosand pull the pound of hair and nasty crap out of it very disappointed in some points

The rooms were filthy, door was hard to open & close. Black mold in ceiling tiles, stink bugs all over room, spider webs with live spiders in the room. We left within 30 mins of checking in. Went to the Hilton down the road.

The rooms were not as advertised in pictures. We were given the wrong room to begin with, when we entered the room there was a dead bug on the bed. We then got reassigned to what was to be our room we booked and it was supposed to be one of their renovated room, which was not the cased. The room was very dated and the tub was dirty among so many other issues. There is a door in between rooms and the neighbors were so loud we took an audio recording from across our room and took several complaints to the front desk. We ended up packing our vehicle that same night and left. Will keep posted on any and all refunds we requested and expect.

Our room had cockroaches coming out of the walls. One cockroach was in the bed with us. The cockroaches were crawing on our shoes, and on the tables in the room. We then switched rooms, and the 2nd room smelled like smoke. We had the air out the room it smelled so bad. There was hair on the towels and the bed sheets smelled like smoke. I was very disappointed with this hotel. We will not be back.

Bed sheets were dirty, we asked for new bedsheets and the staff gave them to us but made us change the dirty bedsheets ourselves, not professional on their side. Also the hotel said breakfast included but the breakfast is literally prepackaged muffins. Don’t let “breakfast included” fool you.

Sheets had dried blood on them. People staying next to us was smoking weed all night and if we had the air on, it was coming up into our room so we were smelling it all night/day. We were told we would have to call Gatlinburg PD because the hotel staff could not do anything about it. Slamming doors all night and a lot of screaming.

Our stay at the River Terrace Resort & Convention Center was extremely pleasant. Although our room was older and not upgraded, it was unbelievably clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had an issue with the toilet and it was promptly fixed. We would definitely stay here again! They are also pet friendly... Definitely a plus!!

The signage was confusing to find the property, Google took us to the Edgewater entrance, and there was a sign which said that the check in to River Crest was 100 Yards, but the check in was much farther away. When we got to the room, I felt something sharp poke into my toe, it someone's toenail clipping. Later, my sons feet turned black from walking on the carpet, which disturbed my wife a lot. The bathtub was too discolored for my family to feel safe using it. While conveniently located, the property is outdated and not clean.

Hotel was old. $500 for two nights and it’s outdated. No carpet so you hear every step from the people directly above you. The fireplace is tiny. Have the logs that would fit in the usually space and puts out no heat. Online picture looks like theirs a restaurant but they told me at check-in without my even asking “the restaurant is closed, never opened back up after Covid and we have no housekeeping so if you need extra towels etc come up to the front desk and we will give them to you”. Finding your room is confusing and parking is weird and would be a nightmare during season. It was ok for the two days we stayed sight unseen but there are many other nicer choices around. Would not go back or recommend to others.

The rooms were very clean, and comfortable. Staff was super friendly. My only complaint is that the walls between the rooms seemed pretty thin, but it may have been an issue with the doors between adjoining rooms. At one point the person in the next room was having a conversation at a normal volume level and i could hear well enough to understand every single word.

There are some Pros and some Cons to this property. The location is hard to beat, not on the Parkway but less than a 3 min walk to get there. The room size was nice and the bed was comfortable. For the cost though, I expected a more updated room. The flooring had been updated….mostly. There’s 1 wall where it didn’t go all the way to the wall and was missing the quarter round that was around the rest of the room. The kitchenette was nice to have but again, felt old and outdated, along with the bathroom. The toilet felt like it was 6 inches off the ground when you go to sit down and you end up with your knees at chin level.

Staff were awesome. Property is a bit dated, (i.e. carpet needed to be replaced, things not working) but many are in Gatlinburg. The problem for us was that the wifi was not working. This was a big deal as my wife works remotely. It looks like it is another hotel that has been bought by an investment company and is being bled. The saving grace was the staff even though they were a bit overloaded. For instance one person at check in during peak time.

Room cards are getting erased from some of the security systems in gatlinburg! Staff members reloaded it after each trip back to the room! They told us about the problem when we checked in. Very good staff members and very helpful!!

The room was dated? But clean. My biggest complaint is that our room wasn’t ready when we checked in at 4pm. We had to wait an additional hour after being on the road for almost 7 hours. They said they were short staffed and would text us when the room was ready, but we never received any texts. We had to physically go back to the receptionist to ask if our room was ready. We also extended a day and apparently that info wasn’t communicated efficiently because on Sunday we were interrupted multiple times by housekeeping. With one housekeeper entering our room while we were still inside. Talk about unacceptable. We also booked a river front and did not get that: our view was primarily of a parking lot.

Arrived early at 12:30pm. Check in isnt until 4pm which i realized, we just wanted to be able to park and go explore, which the hotel did accomadate. The front desk person Donna, was very friendly and told us she would let us know when our room was ready via a phone call. Awesome. 230pm came around and we went back to seee if we could possibly check in yet. Was told the room was cleaned but needed inspected which could take 30 mins to 2 hrs. Ok we will wait. Sat in the lounge. Walked around some more. Come back at 330. Room still not inspected however guest who payed less for their rooms were able to check in. Finally at 410pm, donna was leaving and aknowleged us still sitting in the lounge and asked your room isnt ready yet? To which i replied no, she went back for the keys and let us in. First walking into our room, we noticed a dead stink bug that stayed stuck to the ceiling from check in to check out. The hot and cold faucet in the shower are backwards, we were not notified of this. The toilet flushed so poorly you had to hold the flusher down. The tub dripped all night after use. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. Breakfast was a joke. All in all, mostly bc of the check in process i will not stay in this hotel again. Go to rivers egde right beside it. They have a full breakfast

No mention on Hotels.com website that there was $100 pet fee. I would not have picked that hotel if it was properly disclosed. Also, they advertised that they had free Internet the Internet was nonexistent. Screaming kids till 2 o’clock in the morning in the room next-door, which had an adjoining door next to it. The hotel read my survey. Ask me what they could do to make it right and I told them since no one disclosed to me that there was a $100 pet fee that I would be happy if they returned that $100 pet fee. And of course they said no.

This was our first stay with the River Terrace. First off, the front desk staff was amazing and accommodating. We got to the hotel early and was allowed to check in. We stayed in Building 7 and fell in love with not only the location and view, but the decor of our room. We will definitely stay here again .

I booked a king size bed for me and my wife to stayin amd we got two queen size beds and the front desk lady was trying her best to help us she said she would text us when our king size room would be availableand i never receivedthat call or text, furthermore the cleaning crew sucks, me and my wife stayed a week and the cleaning crew never came in to our room to clean it or give us new towels, i am very unhappy with the cleaning crew or that me amd my wife didnt get a king size bedroom that i booked

Even though the hotel is older we loved it. Right downtown, close to everything and grest staff. We stayed in a loft room on the river. Sat out on the balcony at night listening to music from one of the bars. Really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay there again.

Pictures of resort are outdated. Clean but very worn. In room blinds were broke but manageable, yet wouldn’t block out the bright exterior lights. Curtains were missing. One pool is closed, the restaurant is closed, breakfast is small gas station style packaged pastries and one coffee pod machine with powdered creamer for the entire resort to share. In room coffee pot was filthy. No housekeeping and we had to ask for towels. Staff is sweet and towels were quickly delivered. Shower was hot, with ok water pressure. Location is perfect for walking everywhere easily.

This "resort" REALLY needs to update its website. We chose River Terrace because of the on-site restaurant and quiet location. The restaurant has been closed since Covid and many of their photos depict a quiet resort in the mountains -- this is, unfortunately, not the case. They also boasted two pools. Again, one was closed. The rooms haven't been updated since its conception. They were, in a word, filthy. However, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff. They were incredibly accommodating and friendly. While they did update our room, it was still very dirty. Staff I would rate a 10/10. The "resort" was more like a roadside motel no-tell - 2/10 at best.

We got there and we did not get the loft room we wanted. We had to be put in a king room. They told us we would have a refund but then said Expedia would give us the refund. No daily maid service. We had to request to the front desk if we needed anything. It took four hours to get towels. The wifi did not work. The “breakfast”was pitiful. The coffee was not good.

disappointed the on property restaurant is permanently closed. There was traces of mold on the curtain above the AC unit. And the room had a musky smell. Navigating the ramps instead of steps was difficult. Property location was perfect. Easy walking access to everything on the Parkway

All of the staff was very friendly and helpful! I enjoyed my stay . The breakfast was grab and go ( muffins, danishes) , orange juice and coffee.
