I liked that they had a pool , that you can use and enjoy after a long day of shoping and walking.

Very nice hotel, beautiful relaxing garden in the back, well maintained swimming poor. Snacks and drinks in the evening. Clean floor, nice to see no carpet but clean flooring, no dust and no allergies? Excellent hotel.

The garden, hot tub, and play ground are awesome to keep the kids content also.

I loved the garden area and the outside patio!

Family friendly place they have a playground for the kids staff is super friendly and helpful on site laundry facilities and there is semi parking allowed

Happy Hour

Convenient but not quiet. Probably the best mid budget hotel we have stayed at in awhile. Clean, interesting. Pool is basic but clean and great for the kids. The happy hours that included something for the kids was great. We stayed there on a short day on our cross continent road trip.

Looks a little sketch to start but the 3 jacuzzi are nice. The scenery was very nice to take pictures in. FREE BEER during happy hour with nachos and popcorn. Who dont want that? The rooms are like a 6 or 7 but worth a single night stay for the amenities. Definitely would book again.

The one thing I didn’t really like was the limited amount of parking spaces.

Wonderful garden

The beds were clean, and check-in was fast. However, no instructions were given about check-out. The office opens at 10:00 AM, so I just left the key under the door. The room had a bad smell, the carpet was dirty, and the door locks were broken. Overall, it was just okay for a quick sleepover.

Place was filthy, ended up NOT staying there. However, when we got there , the door was open, bed was unmade, food on the desk. As we walked to the back of the garden it was dusty, dirty, and they had toilets stored under the staircase. Place was sus

I stay here often , never had an issue but checked in to a dirty room with finger nails on table and very dirty bathroom . Also ac didn’t work had to move to another room .

I’m glad I didn’t listen to the review that said there was a bug. There was zero bugs. It was spotless. I stayed in the garden room honestly for 80 bucks it’s like incredible. Lady served me a waffle in the morning. Really nice beautiful garden too.Right outside my door like a resort almost. Walking distance to Walmart

Old room, dirty bedding. Disinterested staff, poor breakfast. Other than the bed bring comfortable, I have nothing positive to say about my stsy here.

Front desk clerk was not aware of ADA rules regarding service animals. I gave this an average rating based upon the hotels I’ve stayed in in the Laredo Texas area. The floor/carpet was extremely dirty. Vacuuming is not enough when you have the constant dirt being tracked into these carpets. If you want an idea about what I’m talking about, take a damp towel and rub it across the carpet.

TV and remote not working in 2 rooms. Staff was helpful and put me in a 3rd room and the TV worked but couldn't get the channel I was looking for to watch football. Good location

Little outdated and not the cleanest but I love the layout and the middle garden. Location is very convenient. So far it’s been safe and we haven’t had any inconveniences.

Overall price and service were definitely great, but mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and noisy. Probably wouldn’t want yo stay here again because of this

The wifi was nonexistent. The far South building smelled like smoke so bad I could not stay there. The staff was nice and let us move to the other building. The breakfast was good and the evening food was fun.

I've been staying at this hotel for years and to my surprise on this trip there were noticeable upgrades to the rooms! new AC units, new locks, new check in computers nice upgrades!

No remote for tv I drive a truck I don't have a TV in my truck so when I rent a room I would like to watch TV but that was not available because they have no remote and when I talk to him about it they gave me three different remotes and none of them worked

As many other reviews have noted, the staff is absolutely incredible and accommodating. 5 stars to all of them. There are restaurants literally within walking distance and other points of interest. Room was spotless. Wi-fi wasn't great. The happy hour (2 beer max) is a fun idea! Unfortunately, other reviews mentioned a more robust menu, when I stayed it was just nachos and popcorn, but, hey! That's more than you get at a Ritz or 4 Seasons, so... The neighborhood isn't the best, so it's prudent to secure your stuff (lock your vehicle, take your keys and valuables etc), but I didn't have any issues. It's a 2 story motel (not a hotel or resort) so if you're used to high end amenities this probably wouldn't suit you. I was there for one night for business and it was fine for that purpose. If you're in Laredo for an extended period you might want to shop around. The bed was a bit firm for my tastes, but that's a personal preference. The sheets and pillow cases were not very soft or plush, but they weren't like cardboard either. They offer a free breakfast from 8-10 but i didn't partake in that so I can't offer an opinion. Overall, it was a nice stay. Clean, reasonably comfortable and large room with a garden view with less noise than expected for a motel. I did sleep in the back bed away from the window and door. My rate was $90. For that price, it was well worth it!

First time staying here! Front desk lady upgraded our room for free since it was our first visit! Bed was so comfy! We will definitely use this place again!!

Super nice at check in. Comfortable room. Bring your own hair dryer. The knob was loose on the bath facet but I reported it and they addressed it immediately thanking me for letting them know.

I got to check in early. That was much appreciated.

I arrived at six thirty and they had canceled my reservation. Their website says check-in is 3p -6am. Grateful though, cause I found a place that was better suited for a solo female.

I usually stay at name branded hotels, but they were looking sketchy even on hotels.com! I decided to book a local motel, The Family Garden Inn & Suites, and I'm glad I decided to try it! It's not fancy, but it's clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plan on eating there, they have a great evening meal service that's very affordable and the food was good! I have to travel a few more times for business back to Laredo and I will definitely be staying here.

Front staff was rude. The key card did not work. Refrigerator is not working. UGG

Reasonable prices and hotel workers are amazing

It was so bad, that I did not stay... It was really really bad. When I approach the front desk, the lady was nice and welcoming, she immediately gave me the room number key card, so it was quite fast. She gave the 161 room number.  So when I drive to the closest place that I can access the aisle that can take me to the room, which by the way, was not near and there were several steps to reach the room. Also just to mention it, there is no cart or anything to help you carry on your luggage to your room, no ramps either, so a cart is out of the picture. When I presented the key card in the door lock, it unlocked and when I pushed the door I could not get in the room because there was a couple of persons already in the room, the guy ask me what room do I have and I told him 161, and he said, well I had room 162,  but my key card did not open 162, so I tried 161 and it did open... so as you can imagine that is an unacceptable situation, how can you stay in a room with such a security mistake. So, when I got back to the front desk the lady said, seemed surprised, but her solution was "well I can give you 162"... I could not believe it.  When I asked her for a different room in a different building, she said that I had to pay more. Even though I gave them opportunity to fix the situation .. she did not simpatice with the real security breach they have.  Also the hotel is very very dark, feels and look creepy. I am confident that hotels.com will help me with this matter.

Probably the worst stay ever. They got yellow paint on our car as they were painting the parking lot with no signs. When we brought this to their attention, instead of offering to solve the problem, they called the cops. Suggesting we got the paint on the cars by ourselves. Strong arm tactics by management seems to be condoned by all employees. Cops came and literally laughed at this sorry excuse of customer service. Needless to say, we will be in touch to have the issue corrected to our satisfaction.

It was a good stay. Great location—there are restaurants, Walmart, Burlington, Ross, and Academy nearby, all within walking distance. The place itself was very nice, and the staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was pretty basic and lacked protein options. The space was very clean.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Location was convenient to shopping and restaurants. The room was remodeled and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The only negative was the breakfast. Cereal, toast, waffles and fruit were not what we were hoping for. Also, the breakfast eating space was way too small to accommodate guests.

The surroundings are not nice. The hotwl is old and in bad conditions. The pool seemed very dirty. The personel was nice and helpful

The main reason we always choose this hotel is because its convenience. It is close to many important stores, that makes shopping easier.

Our stay was amazing, like always. I love the garden theme, I love the happy hour from 6-8 at the center of the main building garden/pool area. Everyone is friendly and coffee is always available in the lobby.

Our room had a front and a back door. We were able to park right in front of our door. The room was quiet. It's an older property, but it was lush. the pool was nice. the hot tub was tricky to get into because the step was so deep (and hard to get out of), but it was warm and bubbly. there was a FREE HAPPY HOUR with popcorn, nachos, ice cold lemonade and BEER. The breakfast waffle was hot and fluffy. during the week, the kitchen sells burgers, steaks, meals.

room is very basic, no desk to work on... worst is the "included breakfast" nothing really... white bread (no butter no chees nothing), cereals and waffles.... nothing else... probably the most basic breakfast I have seen in a long time

The place is okay overall area just okay we enjoyed a good breakfast they only offered a nice waffle only some fruit coffee cereal and there juice is nut really juice

People are very nice and accommodating. The courtyard is welcoming and they have dinner and drinks from 6-8pm. The steak and fajitas were tasty! The rooms need updating especially the bathrooms. The breakfast was minimal with no eggs or meats. Overall, 7/10.

Comfortable clean rooms. Air conditioner worked great! Nice outside area. Enjoyed the complimentary beers and nachos. Nice touch! We would most definitely stay here again when in the area!
