Super 8 by Wyndham Waxahachie TX

This hotel is a very basic 2star hotel. The pool was filled in. The breakfast is only cereal, waff l e maker and a few muffins.

The clerk was not friendly at all and kind of rude. The room was great and the place was nice. Wish we could have used a pool but this place does not have a pool.

It was clean; the hallway was warm - the a/c unit wasn’t running; the a/c in the room worked great the bathroom had paint and sheetrock missing; the little breakfast was good it would the web site showed it had a pool - the pool was filled in. For me the pillows were to soft.

They had filled in pool with concrete. I travel with children. I usually bribe them with swimming. So i probably wont go back to that one. Breakfast room was adequate size for a small hotel and clean.

They said my Reservation was canceled somehow and I had to pay a deposit. When check out time came and it came time for me to get my deposit back. They said that my room smelt like smoke. And I don't even smoke. And they would not give my deposit back. It also says that they have a pool which they do not and have not in 2 years. They said it's filled in with cement

Management was friendly. Upsetting that there was no elevator. But the manager helped me carry my heavy luggage upstairs.

No elevator, 2 stories, seniors its tough to carry suitcases up and down stairs. No ice machine on 2nd floor. Stairs again to get ice. Please post these in advertising.

Property was great but no elevator

I don’t know how this has anywhere near a high 7 or 8 on Expedia. Let’s start with staff. Went down as breakfast was ending and there was this guy with headphones on cleaning and I asked him three times if I could get a plastic spoon for the yogurt. I took it to my room and forgot the spoon. I had to ask 3 times because he was just staring at me a smiling while I asked the first two times before he removed his headphones. He then said they have no spoons. There were literally spoons out there 5 minutes before. Also the breakfast shouldn’t even be noted. Tiny storage closet with two long tables and zero breakfast options. Check in took forever because the guy was on the phone. The bathroom was dirty and the tub is peeling. The chair in the room had stains all over it. The floor was sticky like someone spilled soda all over it and used a dirty mop to clean it up. The fridge was broken. The AC you had to turn on the fan to run all night because the auto button didn’t work. The side exits didn’t close all the way so you could come in and out of them without a key. No elevator. I paid 110.00 for this. I wouldn’t stay here for 25.00. Avoid this place.

The lady at the front desk was amazing, friendly and very helpful despite Expedia messing up my stay. The property overall was ok. My concern was that the outside door did not lock so anyone could go in without a key. There was a lot of lightning but it turns off around 6am and after that it felt scary. There was also a guy smoking weed right outside the said door, but I think he was a hotel guest too. No C-Stores conveniently located so if you’re staying here, gas up & take whatever you’ll need. It was a good place to get some quick rest while we continued w our trip.

Mary at front desk was awesome. The floor in my room was dirty and I should not have walked around in bare feet. That’s how I noticed. Otherwise a pleasant stay

Clean room.

Well lit spacious parking that is monitored by cameras. The lobby is very clean and updated, staff is excellent and so courteous. The room was super clean and updated, the hotel was very quiet and the bed was very comfy.

This is place is an old run-down motel. There were bugs and crickets that was in my room on the 2nd floor. The room just didn't smell clean as it had a stale odor. I normally don’t stay in Super 8’s but this time I didn’t have an option cause Waxahachie doesn’t have much to offer for hotels during the race week. I’m used to the Hilton standards and for what they charged it doesn’t meet the standards for the price. This was my experience maybe others can find it acceptable, but if I had a choice this would not have been something I would have chosen.

Room was clean. Quiet area.

The bathroom was not clean. There was dirt on the floor. Sheets had stains on them. One of the beds made noise any time you moved on it. The roof had water damage in the room. Definitely not worth what I paid for the room. Lots of doors slamming and people yelling throughout the night. Would not stay here again. Front desk called the room at 10am to tell us to check out. Check out is at 11. I get courtesy calls but seemed like they were rushing us to Leave since the maids were already cleaning rooms on our floor.

There was no freezer in my refrigerator and the reply from the front desk was none of the rooms had one. There was a beetle in my room and when I asked the front desk she said all the rooms had them. My room seemed clean enough on the surface, but when I looked closer it was not. Remnants of dead bugs in the dresser drawers, next to the refrigerator and in almost in every corner of my room including under the air conditioning unit. As I further inspected the room the poor workmanship was glaringly obvious. Would never stay here here again

Easy to find, room could have been a little cleaner, mostly dirt in the floor, plug was broken, one lamp didnt work.

The bed and the pillow were uncomfortable. You feel that the people next room are with you. I can hear their voices.

The rooms and property were clean. I'm sorry the beds were not comfortable at all. But good enough for a one night stay.

Great stay. My friends loved the firmness of the beds. I did not although I slept great! Very clean! Nice hotel. I would stay there again.

I stayed over a few days. My original room had a few issues but when i spoke to them about them, they promptly moved me to a different room. Bed was not the most comfortable to me. It wasnt bad, just could have been better for me personally.

Definitely just a place to sleep, once you can block out the noise from the thin walls.

The front desk person- Susan gave exceptional service. The place was way above my expectations and price.

Staff was very friendly. The heater wasn't working in our room and they moved us with no problem on a busy night. Small breakfast but good. The staff made the place!!

Staff was friendly and professional in demeanor. A situation with the keycard not working was quickly resolved. Also, I appreciate the staff's concern for guest safety, since they called the room for my approval prior to simply re-issuing my companion a key, as they did not recognize him since he arrived after I had checked in.

Hotel in good condition for the age of it. Staff responsive and friendly. Will stay here again when we return to Waxahachie.

They put the two night stay onto my credit card I used to secure the rooms after only the first nights stay. The charges sat in pending but that is not the point. That was not the card that was to be used when checking out. Also, when checking the invoice was not broken down, it was just a total of the two day stay. The total two day stay went through on my card and one of the single charges sitting in pending dropped off, as it should have. The second single day stay sat in pending for a week. Not acceptable and totally disappointing.

Overall just what we needed. Nice decor & good beds for a lower cost stay. Surprised they don’t have an elevator but they only have 2 floors so we did the stairs to the 2nd floor fine. Had to leave very early but desk clerk was nice to offer me some cereal before breakfast officially started. Very accommodating. Easy access to highway.

I liked how it was away from town. However I didn’t like that there is a door deprecating the rooms like that is so unsafe. The store policy of a card having to have a name on there is ridiculous it’s 2023 bank cards are starting to not put names on the holders card.

This hotel was very quiet and clean at all times. It must be cricket season here because there were lots of crickets everywhere in the parking lot and found several in our room. Otherwise a good place to stay.

We had to stay the night because our power was out. The only complaint we have is that there was a space for USB ports but the ports were missing! The breakfast choices could have been much better.

They advertise free breakfast when all there is available are waffles, cereal, muffins and drinks. No eggs, no bacon or sausage. Dining area is miniscule in size. I paid $140 plus tax for THIS???

The advertised breakfast was Cereal, muffins, are waffles. Not much of a breakfast. It actually sucked!

I was not at all impressed with the breakfast, cereal, chocolate muffins, and a waffle maker.

Free breakfast was a joke unless you like cold cereal or waffles. Coffee was good. Breakfast area not cleaned and restocked each day.

Clean but our toilet leaked every time it flushed. Tub/shower was flaking in parts. Kept having to ask young lady at front to replenish breakfast items, ie, muffins, coffee cups, because she didn't occasionally check. Overall, was not bad.

The breakfast was very nice and fresh; the dining area was small but clean. The bathroom was clean but shabby, the towels were thin. The desk clerk was pleasant.
