Near to our relatives live close by & swimming pool. Very nice controlled AC.

this property has at times parking space problems. but managed ok. will stay here again.

The hotel was nice.I was disappointed that the hot tub wasn't hot and didn't work. The swimming pool was clean,but cold. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in the future.

Front desk very responsive to our needs. Pool well maintained. Grounds and rooms kept up very well.

I had reserved 5 rooms for a family getaway. When we arrived only 1 out of the 5 rooms were ready at 4 PM, they were understaffed but the front desk young man apologized and he was super nice and promised he'd have them ready ASAP, so we went on to Mexico but once we returned the rest of my family was able to check into their rooms. The rooms are average, dated, but ok for just one night. The pool helped us cool off from hot day but could have been cleaner however it was packed so I understand why it was not as clean as I'd had liked it. Breakfast was great surprisingly! There is a guy making cook to order tacos, omelets or breakfast bowls and everything was cooked to perfection, plus he was a nice friendly guy. What the hotel lacks in appearance the staff made up for it. Let me make it clear...this not a Holiday Inn...there is one up the road but I would stay again at this Super 8. I felt safe, and it was only for one night.

Only issue was that the parking lot was completely full. We had to park around the building and walk to our room.

Located just off I-2, and a quick 22 minute journey to the border, Super 8 has become my lodging of choice. The beds are comfortable. The fridge and microwave are always handy. The soap, shampoo, hand and body wash, and moisturizer are great. They use the bottles that are secured to the wall as a more eco-friendly option. You can watch HBO, enjoy the pool or hot tub. They have charging spots for electric vehicles. They have a small store with snacks, candy, drinks, and other incidentals in the lobby. They serve a hot breakfast with sausage, breakfast potatoes, make your own waffles, and more. But if you are in the mood for something else, Chef Cris will make you an omelet or breakfast taco as part of the premium breakfast option. I paid $6 for a really good loaded omelet, made to order. I recommend you give it a try. It might become your go-to lodging as well.

This has to be one of the best Super 8 experiences I have ever had. The room I received upon check in was very nice , very clean and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower / bath was excellent. The room was very clean. It had a mini fridge , microwave , single cup Keurig with available pods , and air conditioner worked very well. This Super 8 is conveniently located just off the main highway. I wanted to go to the pool / hot tub but a storm was predicted on the local news station. THE BEST PART WAS CHEF CHRIS COOKING UP EGGS OR OMELETTES IN THE BREAKFAST ROOM. Super 8 always offers a free breakfast with a variety of options. But I was extremely pleased to find a chef here. I had an omelette which he also served a small side of refried beans and salsa and tortilla for a $5 charge. He also had protein shakes available for a small fee. Chef Chris is an amazing man with a true talent for cooking. He discussed possibly offering a dinner at Super 8 in the near future. I hope he does. I'm definitely going back soon and I would love to see what his dinner options will be. It was an added star to my Super 8 experience. I just hope for good weather so I get to utilize the pool and hot tub during my next visit.

It would have been a 5 star if the mirror didn't have black spots and the bed sheets weren't stained with someone's blood

There was roaches in the restroom also the lamp had mold ,the microwave was dirty. Very noisy we could hear people outside our room talking in the middle of the night .

Excellent front desk service! Rooms are very clean and comfortable. This was our second visit and the only down is no coffee makers in the room. But well worth the stay.

Towels were stained/dirty 1st night, mold/ stains on shower curtain and blanket on bed had cigaret burns. Room filled with flies.

The only complaint is about water in shower and sink is so smelly other than everything was nice….

Easy access from Expressway. The exterior of property was well kept. I really enjoyed the room (suite) that I stayed in. The room was great, very clean except for the floor. The floor was very dirty, socks and feet got real dirty walking in the room. We had to put towels on the floor to keep our feet clean.

Pull out sofa did not have sheets. A big wad of hair ball was floating around in the room. Not ours. Shower had some hairs on the wall, not the cleanest. Good variety in breakfast. Diabetic friendly. Chef Chris was nice and friendly and attentive. Front desk staff was courteous and friendly. Rooms were not very clean.

Every staff member we encountered was really nice. We were told pool was closed due to accident in morning. Walk into room there was roaches on the wall then baby roaches in restroom area. We asked for towels next day and didn’t receive any til late afternoon

Reconditioned property that definitely has a better staff and the rooms were renovated well, however I will say the bed was absolutely terrible and not comfortable at all, there was a lot of trash outside, and their surprise early check/in fee on weekends which is NOT mentioned anywhere was a shock.

Great spot, not soundproof as advertised. It’s right by the expressway and Winter Texans watch TV with volume full blast.

The check in with a reservation took about 15 minutes, THey looked it up on the computer then disappeared into a back room with no explanation. Then we get settled int the room, and there is no hangers in the closet. Staff go to the next empty room to find hangers but they are the type that go into the rod and wouldn’t work. So they moved us into that room instead. The location is convenient but is very noisy on the corner of an Interstate and a busy noisy street! Parking is good but access in is very confusing. There are three driveways but should one want to go into town there is only one usable requiring a U-turn in a crowded lot. Otherwise using the other 2 drives would require one to go a couple of miles out of the way. We had a 4 day stay but we arrived back at our room on the second day after 5 pm and nothing had been done in the room yet. On our third day we were awakened at 6am to the garbage truck banging around. Surely they could negotiate with the pickup company to have this done at more normal hours. Breakfasts and room at tables were much better that average and the staff were good in there. Selections were good!

You can hear your neighbors conversations. Called the office to let them know they were being loud as it was 2am and when they called I heard their phone ringing.

This is a great budget choice! The staff (especially Edgar the Front Desk Manager) were great and accommodating. Everyone was truly enthusiastic to make our stay pleasant. The room was a bit dated, but clean and the bed was comfortable.

Edgar at front desk was very friendly. Great attitude. Property very clean. The only downfall was the housekeeper just opening the door fixing to walk in and we had the do not disturb .

We are usual to this hotel and everytime we go they Dnt have any rooms clean eventhough in the internet and in the lobby it says check in is at 2… it happens everytime we go.. sad to say Edgar and Ramon the receptionist told me they only had 2 ladies to clean the rooms … well I pay for the room and expect to get a room at least by 3 not 4 or 5 pm .

This Grandma somehow put our stay in with the wrong night. I called the Hotel directly and told a friendly gentleman, Edgar, what happened and he changed my date. I met Edgar the next morning and he was just as friendly, and helpful in person. Thanks Edgar! Looking forward to seeing you there on our next trip to our Dentist in Mexico.

Edgar the front desk attendant is outstanding and very kind to me. And the guy that does the morning breakfast is outstanding as well. Super 8 has outstanding employees at this location and made me and my sister feel very comfortable and safe. They were also very friendly!

We checked in on Monday to attend a dentist appointment on Tuesday. My appointment went smothly, but my wife's required an additional appointment on Friday. So on Tuesday I went on Hotels.com and extended our stay till Saturday morning. On Wednesday afternoon we were at a late lunch at Dennys. I got a phone call, which I blew off as I didn't recognize the phone number. A short time later, still at Dennys, I see it's a Weslaco TX phone number. So I answer the call, It's the manager from Super 8, He wants to know why I haven't vacated the room yet? I told him I extended my stay through Hotels.com. He tells me I booked the wrong hotel. I said ok, look as soon as I finish eating I will come to the office and show you my email confirmation from Hotels.com. Ok so we finish eating and I show him both email confirmations show same hotel same room type, standard room. Ok No more talk about I booked at the wrong Hotel. Now it's I booked a different room than i have now. Ok How do we fix this, move up to the 2nd floor from the 1st floor or pay an extra 7 dollars a day. I said ok I'll pay the extra $21 and some change extra, however I am going to give you a dismall review. His response, "Yeah, Sure! 21 dollars was more important to him than a good review. I am 70 years old and disabled, my wife is 67. This is how they treat seniors. Breahfast was dried out sausage links, dried out chicken nuggets, and dried out ff. Dry cereal or nasty waffles, no eggs. I chose not to go to breakfas

I usually stay here when I'm getting any dental work done in Progreso, easy and convenient to the border

We really enjoyed the breakfast omelette freshly made at an incredible price. Very convenient to Nuevo Progresso bridge…15 minutes away

We appreciate having Chef Chris preparing made to order omelettes to compliment the complimentary hot breakfast bar.

Best part was the breakfast. The paid option was some of the best food I ate while in the area.

They tell you there is breakfast to get you to pay and that’s not a definition is breakfast. The funny thing is they also tried to sell you a very bad looking breakfast calling it premium.
