Extended Stay America Suites - Washington, DC - Reston

The units were efficient and clean. The beds were comfortable. It was easy to access the property. There were several places outside to relax with friends. I did not like that I had to go to the office and request the coffee pot, the coffee, plates,silverware and cups/glasses. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Staff was friendly.

Breakfast was two types of bag muffins? Front staff hard to understand, air conditioner roars on and off all night no matter how you set the fan, parking lot dirty. We won't return.

Staff were nice and a accommodating. The room was clean but the furniture was older. Parking was an issue-they had the smallest parking lot I’ve ever seen at an Extended Stay. I parked in a handicap spot jgst so i could be closer to the room.

It was a great stay for 1 night. It’s near the WMATA subway station. You can park your car and take the subway to downtown DC.

I only needed to stay here for 2 nights but the room was comfortable overall. Parking was easy. The only downside in the room was the refrigerator which worked but wasn't very cold which was a little concerning since we needed to keep some medication cold during the stay

The manager (Kumar) was very nice, but complex itself had a lot of trash and litter—perhaps because there were no garbage receptacles around the parking lot. No recycling containers visible. Out door passes had to be replaced three times in two days.

My one night stay was fine. I did notice that the exterior walkways and stairs were dirty. Some of the people staying there looked unsavory.

It was decent room. Check in and out was easy. The A/C froze you or you were super hot. The phone/blow dryer and clock didn’t work and the fire alarm went off randomly when I was in shower. Parking is great and ample. The area is great. The water pressure in shower was great.

Front desk was not manned as stated and had to call out for someone. Room was clean but there was a definite strong smoke smell. Bathroom in need of repair and upgrades would be helpful. Outside was dirty and littered. Would definitely not stay again.

The room was not clean it smelt like pee, very uncomfortable the walls are black and I would like my money back I had my 6 month old baby there I not pleased

It was barely adequate. The sheets might have been washed, but were stained. So we had to go down and get new sheets before sleeping. There were cigarette butts everywhere outside and the stairwells were dirty. I doubt I will ever stay in this type of hotel again

I checked into the hotel and went to the room. I was instantly hit with the smell of cigarettes. There were random spots of what appeared to be blood on the wall in the bedroom and bathroom. Either the toilet seat was stained or not cleaned, I didn't inspect close enough to tell the difference. The shelves on the bedroom and bathrooms walls were broken and half falling off. The lock latch on the door was busted off. The screen on the window was torn and that was all I noticed in the first 5 minutes. It looked like someone had a fight in the room, but I didn't feel safe to stay. We promptly left the room and told the lobby attendant what we found and that we would not be staying there. They did not give us any trouble and promptly refunded our money.

I was given a room that was still in the process of being cleaned. The room smelled badly of urine, like a pet had soiled the carpet at some point. I was so exhausted that it wasn’t worth the hassle to change rooms. At 1:52am the smoke alarm went off across the entire complex. It was not disarmed until 2:11. Then it went off 4 more times over the next 10 minutes. When I got up to check on the issue (were we actually on fire?), I was greeted by a roach crawling up the wall.

Customer service is okay. Room is veru dirty. Smells like cigarette upon checking in. Someone took off the smoke detector. Stove doesnt work..carpet os so dirty.

A complete dump. Trash piled up in front of rooms. Hair on “clean” towels. Cabinets were all broken or chipped up. No utensils, glasses, anything…..for an extended stay. Other guests slamming doors all night. Stay away.

Don’t stay here! Unsafe. People in the room next to me smoking weed on the balcony. Cops came and arrested a guest in a room below me. 5 cop cars. Room was horrible. AC unit was acting up. Way too loud. Carpet was disgusting. Couldn’t walk barefoot. Stay away!

No hot water. Room in poor condition; stains on walls and carpet. Clogged toilet. Exterior and sidewalks very dirty. Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in many years.

The first room I was given was dirty and the bed sheets had stains. The second room acceptable but around midnight I saw roaches in the bathroom. I took my luggage to the car so I wouldn’t get bugs in my things since it was too late to check out and I had to get up early anyway. Then at 1:45 AM in the morning the fire alarm goes off for 45 minutes. Trucks, sirens till almost 3 AM. Dog poop and cigar wrappers litter the property and courtyard. I would never return, a complete rip off at that price point. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Great location. Clean room. The only downside was the very poor Internet service even after paying 5 dollars for better service.

It was a nice room , however they booked several people next door and around our room , the ones next door were loud till about 2am and the ones on the other side had a kid banging ball against out side wall at 6 am . and through the morning till I had to bang on wall and tell them to get away from our place, other than that the hotel was very nice, they need to keep their word , told me that was a quiet location , it wasn't at all

The bed was clean but the room had grimy carpets, chipped countertops and general maintenance issues with paint and esthetics. Hot water worked so at least I had a good sleep and shower after a transatlantic flight.

In general it was clean - some vague stains on towels and sheets but they were still washed and clean. Very thin, lightweight blanket on bed which was the main uncomfortable factor about the stay. In general, it was totally fine but little quirks had been overlooked - the toilet flush was a button hidden by the counter in the bathroom and only one night stand on one side, that kind of thing.

The room was quite run down. Cabinets and drawers were broken, bathroom sink was stopped up, tub dripped heavily the whole time, etc. The room was not very clean. And the breakfast? There was no breakfast! Coffee and NutriGrain bars is NOT breakfast.

Our room was just fine, and we had no problem with the staff or facility. Front desk was helpful for our needs. However there was screaming from other rooms at least 3 of our 4 nights, foot traffic after midnight every night outside our door. on our last night the room beside us punching the wall hard enough to cause electrical flickering in our room and (he) was screaming for at least a half hour.

The property area is across the street from a major subway/metro station (Silver line), so getting to DC is a breeze. The office is clean. The room though, is a different story. Upon entering my room, I could smell the mildew and mold. Furniture and decor are dated, but still very much usable. No bugs except for one spider in the shower. The room itself is clean. The fridge was very clean, like someone took a lot of time cleaning it. Some burnt food marks on the cooktop, but that’s to be expected for what it is. The sheets, blanket, and pillows are very clean - I couldn’t find dirty spots using my UV and black lights. The main door, however, has a gap on the bottom, and you can smell whatever your neighbors are smoking. At night, it was somewhat loud until 2am; people were walking around and moving furniture upstairs, and people were checking in late and talking loud outside. I never felt unsafe at any point. This area is well-patrolled by the Fairfax County Sheriff office. You have 3 eateries within 2 minute walking distance, but you could always Uber to the Reston Town Center for a lot more options just 5 minute drive away. Overall, I’d recommend this place for single females with kids.

Booked and paid for room thru Expedia. When I got there they said they were out of Queen rooms and that I would have to pay $50 extra for King size. Total dishonest attempt at a shakedown.

Everytime you would leave your room - the next time you went back in, the key wouldn’t work. So that meant that you had to go back to the front desk anytime you got back from somewhere because the keys needed replaced. Ridiculous.

Front desk people mostly absent...need to be called from back room to attend to guests. Advertised breakfast included is a stretch...very little food choices and staff does not replenish coffee or cups when they run out unless asked. Room provides one tiny soap and no shampoo/conditioners. No cups or even plastic spoons in room. Do not recommend this place if you can afford another place nearby.

I stayed at extended stay Reston for a couple of months. The staff was wonderful actually they became like family. All of the staff was awesome however Jose, Nora and Kumar were the the ones I came in contact with the most and they were all awesome. Nora Auto maternity leave and I'd like to say congratulations on your new bundle of joy! If I ever needed a place to stay in Reston again without a doubt I choose this place because of the excellent customer service from this wonderful staff. Cheers to extended stay Reston. Take care!

My family did not get to check in. They arrived at the property after 2300hrs and had to follow instructions of press "0" from the call box. No one answered after serval attempts (we have pictures to prove no one was at the desk, she took them from outside thru the window) so she returned back to the car due to her having 2 kids in the vehicle and called me. I then called the front desk after ring over 10 times a gentleman answered with a attitude and automatically said what where are you at and started to be real aggressive to me for no reason. Even after the gentleman eventually stopped arguing for no reason about where you at, you made me.come outside and no one's here i stated that listen sir i not even trying to argue with you i just my family to be able to check in, he began to get extremely annoyed and aggressive again. My family doesn't feel safe being thiug it will be 4 females to include 2 small girls by their self due to his attitude and aggression over the phone with me and all i did was call and say hello sir my family is trying to check in and there no one answering and/or there and like i stated henwent off on me. I would like a refund and i also purchased insurance

Needed an overnight stay near Reston Hospital so booked a room. Convenient location, clean, quiet, courteous/helpful staff and great price. The queen room I reserved wasn’t available so they upgraded me to king suite. No complaints!!

It was very close to the Metro and we took it every day to go to DC, very close to a lot of restaurants, what I didn't like was some of the people hanging around the area and the fact that it was kind of dated but it was clean and the people running it or owning it were very helpful and nice and they had coffee available and continental breakfast in the morning it was a big plus

Nice, clean and quiet. Typically for local workers who haven't found housing yet in busy DC area. Very convenient to stores and metro.

The property isn\'t aesthetically beautiful or anything, but it\'s clean and safe. The staff was friendly. It is definitely no-frills. If all you need is a clean bed and shower, then it\'s fine. I was surprised/disappointed that there wasn\'t a coffee maker in the room. There wasn\'t anything in the room. No cups, plates, silverware, pots/pans, etc. There was a fridge, a stove/oven, and a microwave, but nothing else. I was only there for 1 night so I didn\'t need anything, but this is an "extended stay" hotel. I don\'t know if maybe you were staying longer you have to ask for those items? I also saw on the Expedia site and on the hotel\'s website that the hotel offers free breakfast, which it did not.

Front staff very friendly and dressed professional. No meat, which might due to their religion, but the breakfast is great. Highly recommended!

No coffee in the rooms and the free breakfast consisted of a granola bar and/or a bag of oatmeal.

A couple of good things first: sheets and towns were clean, and the mattress was comfy. The bad: no breakfast including coffee during breakfast hours. Had to request another room. First one stank bad. Second one was ok in this respect. No shower curtain in room. Generally not very clean. Conclusion: I would not stay here again. It is a run-down property with poor management. I mean, no spoons for oatmeal and front desk could not come up with one? Come on!
