Definitely nice to see that on the hotel that's been there for a while in this area has finally started to update and renovate some things throughout the hotel and their rooms... there was a stain on the pull-out couch mattress and the door is very hard to open very heavy or just old and hard to manure the lobby bathroom toilets issues Flushing but overall the hotel in the room were very clean and the hotel staff was very friendly you will get charged $15 a day for parking

The location is amazing being right on the boardwalk. The room was very clean and the housekeeping services were very good. The front desk was also very helpful. The hallways and elevators could have been more kept up, but overall the condition was great. The fitness center is a rack of hand weights and 3 treadmills, just fyi. Also, the "restaurant" is very limited. There would probably be a better value staying at a comparable spot that has an included breakfast.

Iris was so friendly! She was amazing at check in and very helpful. Rose was nice and polite. No parking was available at the hotel. The secondary parking lot was across the street; however no one told us the parking wasnt free and we were charged after check out. The room smelled like a locker room and the shampoo/conditioner were empty. Called to request more and extra towels but no one ever brought any. The inside door handle kept coming off when we tried to leave and the sliding door had not been cleaned in ages. The bedside charger port didnt work… all in all the room quality was disappointing, the cleanliness wasnt up to par and room really needed a good scrub and refresh. Perks of the stay were 24/7 starbucks in lobby, beach access and early check in… the lobby staff were pleasant and profesional

The only negative I can really point out is the limited parking spaces in front of the hotel…luckily, when we arrived, I was able to grab the last one available. Other than that, this was an excellent hotel and our stay was comfortable and peaceful. I only encountered one staff member (front desk clerk @ check-in on the evening of 11/11) and he was absolutely wonderful. Would highly recommend.

Room had a dirty sock in the bed, the balcony door was awfully constructed, would stick and felt like the glass was gonna disconnect from the frame. The bathroom foot was sticky and the toilet felt like it was going to disconnect from the floor. I had a sandwich from the bistro and it was stale and gross. Overall for the price you pay, this was not great.

Very nice hotel, rooms are big, bathrooms are huge. Very clean!! Housekeeping did amazing job before we got there and while we was there!! Staff very nice!!! Best hotel!! Right on the beach!!

Room was dirty shower was for handicap persons and I did not book that type of room, the showers water drained into a puddle in the hall way. Staff was rude, parking was an additional $16 and a block away, staff only allowed 1 car per room so my spouse had no where to park his car after a 3 hour drive to this hotel. We did not stay here I left at 11pm, I’m calling to get a refund on Tuesday.

Checking staff was wonderful and great very friendly and attentive. Beside that property and room were dirty in other word filthy. Pool hasn't been checked. Scum all around the rim of the pool. Carpet was so nasty and furniture were sticky

Excellent and easy check in. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable. Easy check out. Only complaint I have-NO safe and NO wall magnifying mount mirror to apply makeup. Otherwise, had a great customer experience celebrating my anniversary. I love Virginia Beach. Plan to return to this hotel next year....hopefully hotel will have these two items........

Hotel was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was disgustingly dirty and in need of a major deep clean. Lamps and all surfaces were covered in dust, bathroom floor was black with dirt, dirty shower, and stained shower curtain. We had friends staying in another room that was in much better condition than ours. Water was also shut off for routine repairs, but was left off for almost 3 hours longer than expected which caused my Husband and I to miss our anniversary dinner reservation which was extreme disappointing. They said they would refund our parking fee due to this, but I was still charged for parking. Do not think I’ll be staying at this location again.

Expensive. Dated. Not very clean or comfortable. A relatively reliable name, however they just slapped it on an old hotel. The keycards erase constantly if placed near a phone, credit card or ??? Needed to get replacement cards several times daily.

Beds were extremely hard. WiFi and cable would randomly go out. The building needed maintenance, floors by elevator warped and broken, ceiling in entrance very damaged due to some kind of leak. We left a day earlier than expected

Great property. We had a king bedroom on the 5th floor, it was spacious and comfortable. The ocean view was spectacular. The only con would be the dated bathroom, it definitely needs renovation. Other than that our stay was great i would recommend to others.

Liked property, very clean and comfortable. Staff very nice and helpful, except for one incident . Very comfortable room. One night, a man tried to get into our room, he was trying his key, but it wasn’t working. We could hear him. Told him we were in there, he said it was his room, I said no, we have been here a few days. Tried to call front desk, no answer from hotel phone, tried guest services, busy. Called on cell phone, either my phone hung up or the hotel hung up after several minutes of ringing. Called back again and immediately heard “hold music”. Held for several minutes, then hung up. After that, felt very unsafe, not knowing if front desk would pick up in the future. Decided I would call 911 if there was a future emergency. Reported incident to assistant manager, she was very concerned about incident.

When we checked in they didn’t bother to tell if they had changed our room. We went to the room only to find it was a double and not a king which we had paid for on our reservation. Then I went back to the front desk to tell them of the mistake and they said they didn’t have any king rooms and the manager had changed it. The manager would be in on Monday. They said I could go down the street to their sister hotel and have to pay the difference. I will never stay at this hotel again. This is very disappointing because I have stayed here several times in the post few months.

The check-in process was horrible. Arrived 2 hours early and was put on waitlist. Then came back around 4pm and was told room is not ready by the the woman at the front desk. So I stood to the side. In the other line my sister-in-law was checking in who had just arrived with her family and was told that her room just ready by the the gentleman who was assisting her. I asked the gentleman to confirm whether it was my room and asked for the last name, both my sister- in -law and I have the same last name but my last name is hyphenated. He kept on just saying just part of the name. He ran her credit card . Again I gave him my full name and finally he stayed it was my room. Why did he NOT confirm the full name because running her credit card and agyuing with both of us. And why did the lady just tell me my room was not ready. Additionally, there was a lot of dust on the countertops and desk in the room. One evening I asked for a hair dryer because the one in the room was not working; I was told they would bring it shortly but they never showed up. Customer service has declined. Best thing about the hotel was it was on the boardwalk and I had an oceanfront view.

Everything was wonderful with our stay. I didn’t care for the adjoining room: our neighbors were a bit noisy but it wasn’t terrible. The ocean view was AMAZING, and it was very convenient to be able to keep my car parked until 4:00 even after we checked out. Shops and dining options are abundant, and the hotel staff was very friendly and efficient. We will be returning!

Nice location with the beach and boardwalk access. The hotel needs to be kept in a better condition. Service is a little slow and unorganized. I booked my room with breakfast included but was told at check in that it will be a fee. Anyhow, it was shown up correctly at the breakfast check in. Yet, at check out, the breakfast fees were charged to the credit card on file, which was rectified when questioned. Just check your receipt carefully before leaving.

All the employees were good but the front desk ( dayshift and nightshift ) The Bistro employees ( day shift and nightshift ) were some of the best I have dealt with in my many years as a Marriott traveler. As Titanium member for life I don’t give to many glowing reviews but this is an exception .
