The parking situation was the only down fall. They had valet, but it took a long time to get our car even after calling down to ask the valet to go ahead and retrieve the care before we headed down. Everything else was good.

I don't think I have ever met a more helpful staff. However, this hotel has serious elevator issues. This hotel is equipped with two elevators. One has been out of service for quite some time. Waiting for parts I am told. The other one breaks down on a daily basis, for more than an hour each time, sometimes twice a day. Not good for guests staying on upper floors, or those with disabilities. For a hotel bearing the Marriott Name, this looks bad.

We had a great room on the second floor. Unfortunately one of the elevators was under construction, however it is supposed to be fixed sometime this week. We just used the stairs, so no big deal. The breakfast was excellent, eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes along with yougart, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee. One of the better complimentary breakfasts I've had in a while. The parking can be a challenge, very small and limited spaces, however they have attendants that can help you along with valet parking availible for a small fee. All in all I would stay here again.

It was nice that it was pet friendly and our room had a full kitchen.The parking was small so you had to rely on valet to drive your vehicle three blocks away. The breakfast was very bland and they did not have ketchup for any of the days when they could’ve went to the store and just bought some.

Hotel was great and had beautiful views. Simply walk out the back door and you’re at the beach. Breakfast was good and had different options to choose from. I was a little nervous about the parking situation, but the valet was quick and easy.

Everything was great! Very clean, staff was polite and helpful, beautiful view, our son loved the inside pool. The only thing I wasn’t happy with is the very limited parking. There are maybe 20 parking spots available at the hotel. Once you get unloaded, they take your vehicle and park it in a garage. We didn’t have any issues with it, just a big inconvenience since we had to take all of our beach things up to our room when we would’ve normally just left them in the truck and taken them back and forth to the beach.

This is our 3 time at this hotel and we will be back in 6 months . Very comfortable, clean , staff are nice , breakfast included and walk right onto the beach . You can’t beat the view out of our window . The only downside is valet parking takes a long time, they are short staffed so make sure you request your car early if you are pressed on time . There are very few spots available upfront and they are usually busy . Otherwise it’s an amazing place .

The breakfast is by far the best quality and selection of all the properties we've stayed at. Having the living room and full kitchen separate from the bedroom gives it the condo feel. We can't wait to book next year's trip!

Love VA Beach, convenient location, super helpful friendly staff. Hotel not in a great condition, almost everything was broken and not very clean. Sticky floor, sticky carpets with stains, weird oppressive smell in the room took few days to air out, broken balcony door, impossible to open, stained window in the living room could not be cleaned, hard to see anything though, safe was broken, only stove and microwave, no oven, only 1 pot and pan, stained old bath towels, loud rattling AC unit placed right in the bedroom also stained with big rust leaks, at least clean bed sheets and comfortable beds and view from the balcony was amazing!

Checking in was terrible, front desk staff had an attitude and don’t care. Hotel’s policy say check in at 4:00pm but we were told that room is not ready because they’re short handed and made us wait til more than 4:30pm before we can check in. The elevator was broken ( you can not call the elevator up from floor 5,6,7,8,9 and if you want to go down you have to call front desk staff to send it up to you). The room wasn’t clean properly there were empty bottles and cans left on the windowsill behind the curtain from previous guests. This is the last time we stay at this hotel, will not coming back.

The hotel was on the Boardwalk which was an excellent location. Nice to walk up and down. Plenty of bars and restaurants. The only really bad thing was the air conditioning. It was so noisy that we had to turn it off at night to be able to sleep. Also when sitting on the tiny balcony, the heat from the conditioner vented straight at you and was very hot, so you couldn’t sit out when it was on. Other than that a very comfortable stay. The lifts had a mind of their own too….

Two room suite. Very spacious. Kitchen with full size fridge, two burner flat top. Microwave oven. Ability to cook and avoid expensive restaurants prices was nice. Will stay there again. It is pet friendly, so be prepared for lots of dogs!

My only complaint would be air conditioning units need upgrade very noisy. Otherwise hotel is excellent, very dog friendly, quiet, great breakfast and all the staff very nice and helpful.

Immediately we had problems with the air conditioner. I reported it in the morning. Someone changed the filter. It got cooler but not cool enough. I received a phone call from Manager Chris. I was told that he was going to call Expedia to give me a discount. I was also supposed to get some towels and some stuff from the market. I never received anything and I had to let Chris know the next morning. He apologized and said that he would contact Expedia and would have engineering come and check the air conditioner. It still was never resolved. I called today after my check out, to leave Chris a message so that he doesn't forget to keep his end of the deal. Other than the air conditioning, the hotel and the location was great!

Unfortunately, Residence Inn dropped the ball on our stay. They told us they couldn't accommodate our stay, and after we had a room, and unloaded our stuff, we were told we had to give up our room. They tried to tell us they told Expedia to handle the call, but we did not receive a call until we were in Virginia Beach. No one left a voicemail to let us know we no longer had a confirmed, paid in full reservation. I am currently waiting on the manager of that hotel to call me to discuss this situation further. He did reach out last week to apologize, and said he would call me after our vacation in OCMD was over. I never in my life had a vacation ruined by such incompetence. It so sad that we had such a communication breakdown. We were a repeat customer to this hotel, only to be left with nowhere to go once we got to Virginia Beach. This was an awful traumatic experience, and hopefully no one has to go through what we did on September 20th. Hopefully the Residence Inmates good for what they put us through.

No one left a voicemail to let us know we no longer had a confirmed, paid in full reservation. I am currently waiting on the manager of that hotel to call me to discuss this situation further. He did reach out last week to apologize, and said he would call me after our vacation in OCMD was over. I never in my life had a vacation ruined by such incompetence. It so sad that we had such a communication breakdown. We were a repeat customer to this hotel, only to be left with nowhere to go once we got to Virginia Beach. This was an awful traumatic experience, and hopefully no one has to go through what we did on September 20th. Hopefully the Residence Inmates good for what they put us through.

Stay was fine until front desk was rude , and eyed with an look coming in & out all weekend during our stay . Told security to come to our room specifically at 1am for smoking marijuana when we didn't have any possession of that . I just did not like my stay due to front desk and management . There is another residence inn at the end of the boardwalk that is newer and more spacious, but this one was centrally located for easier access to boardwalk and shops. The breakfast was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Had ocean view and right next to Neptune statue. Was not noisy. Had a great stay!

This is our 3 time at this hotel and we will be back in 6 months . Very comfortable, clean , staff are nice , breakfast included and walk right onto the beach . You can’t beat the view out of our window . The only downside is valet parking takes a long time, they are short staffed so make sure you request your car early if you are pressed on time . There are very few spots available upfront and they are usually busy . Otherwise it’s an amazing place .

Checking in was terrible, front desk staff had an attitude and don’t care. Hotel’s policy say check in at 4:00pm but we were told that room is not ready because they’re short handed and made us wait til more than 4:30pm before we can check in. The elevator was broken ( you can not call the elevator up from floor 5,6,7,8,9 and if you want to go down you have to call front desk staff to send it up to you). The room wasn’t clean properly there were empty bottles and cans left on the windowsill behind the curtain from previous guests. This is the last time we stay at this hotel, will not coming back.

The facilities were really good. Friendly staff, clean room and loved the closeness to the beach. My only complaint is there was very limited parking and I did noy like just handing my keys over to just anyone to drive my car and have access to it.

Hotel was great and had beautiful views. Simply walk out the back door and you’re at the beach. Breakfast was good and had different options to choose from. I was a little nervous about the parking situation, but the valet was quick and easy.

This hotel was the first in our little trip. The attentive staff seemed to understand everything we needed;) There were no questions at all. I really liked its location. Everything you needed was very close, restaurants, shops, ocean, beach. The view from the window is magnificent. The gym is quite decent for a good workout, there are benches, dumbbells))) The pool is not deep. The breakfast is excellent, I'm sure everyone could find something to their liking. Photos fully correspond to reality.

Location was wonderful, breakfast was good but some foods were a little too spicy. The bedroom had a wonderful view with the big window. The property was clean, elevators came quickly not a long wait. Pet friendly was a plus. What I didn't like it was too dark in the kitchen area, hard too see while washing dishes, our sliding door was hard to open and close, the sliding door window was dirty couldn't see out of one side, parking is not good, especially for checking in if you are the only adult.

We love staying at Residence Inn! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The units are spacious, well equipped, and very clean. The views are AMAZING! The breakfast is by far the best quality and selection of all the properties we've stayed at. Having the living room and full kitchen separate from the bedroom gives it the condo feel. We can't wait to book next year's trip!

We had a great room on the second floor. Unfortunately one of the elevators was under construction, however it is supposed to be fixed sometime this week. We just used the stairs, so no big deal. The breakfast was excellent, eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes along with yougart, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee. One of the better complimentary breakfasts I've had in a while. The parking can be a challenge, very small and limited spaces, however they have attendants that can help you along with valet parking availible for a small fee. All in all I would stay here again.

It was nice that it was pet friendly and our room had a full kitchen.The parking was small so you had to rely on valet to drive your vehicle three blocks away. The breakfast was very bland and they did not have ketchup for any of the days when they could’ve went to the store and just bought some.

The pool and hot tub were saltwater, so even after six days of swimming, the kids didn’t get chlorine-damaged hair or irritated skin. Every morning, there were scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, a waffle station, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal with toppings, and more. Even with picky eaters, everyone found something they liked. We liked everything here: the ocean view, friendliness of the staff and valets Donnell and Danica were extra friendly. The location was very walkable to several restaurants. The one downside was the laundry facilities. While it was very nice that it was free, the machines were very old and clearly need to be replaced
