The hotel was clean and the hot tub was brand new. Super clean as well as the whole Pool Area. Restaurant was close and food awesome People lots of fun!

They were very friendly & helpful. We were there for a week and cleaned when we asked, but stayed out when we didn't. Plenty of ice, free laundry. Older estanlishment, but well kept up.

Hot tub was closed for the season in February. Hotel was reasonably clean and the service was nice. Parking was decent for a larger truck, little tighter parking lot near the hotel and large empty lot a little ways away. Cool little cover picnic area/BBQ area as well.

This property is at the junction of Hwy 20 where you either go to Anacortes or turn to Deception Pass on Whidbey Island. It's about 15 minutes away from Cap Sante Marina and 30 minutes from Oak Harbor Marina. If you are trailing a boat, there is usually a place to park, just check in advance. A good place to stay if you are taking a early morning ferry to the San Juan Islands. We have stayed at the hotel numerous times--it is older, but clean and comfortable.Good value for a reasonable price. We will stay there again. There is a mini-mart, bar and restaurant next to the property. We have tried the restaurant twice--a year apart, and find it to be expensive and not very good.

The pool is cold and so is the new hot tub Told staff the temperature in the hot tub was set too low. That night it was locked up by 8 pm and when asked they said no one was in.

Loved the pool , lodge feel , covered the a/c units , hanging flower baskets , just a really nice place !!

Friendly staff and clean room. There is no elevator and it was a bit of a challenge for us older folks to get our luggage up the stairs.

Property is very run down. The secured door on outside was broken on back side anyone could get in. Hot tub was not working, carpet in faculty needs to be replaced, hair around bottom of toilet, broken desk.

When checking in, we were told our room was up the stairs on the second floor. Because I am terribly arthritic, stairs are a problem. We asked if there was an available room on the ground floor, and the clerk promptly and pleasantly changed our room assignment. That is much appreciated. Thank you. We also enjoyed the pool area, which we had to ourselves on a Friday evening. They could raise the pool temp a degree or two! The only difficulty we had was in having to re-arrange a few things in order to use the coffee maker. The cord is too short to reach the outlet, so the it has to be moved down from on top of the microwave to the table below.

Our stay went smoothly. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a brewery (Bastion) just up the road with good beer and a really good brisket sandwich. Easy to get into Anacortes and to Whidbey Island. There was definitely some road noise, as the hotel is at a major intersection. The whole place needs a good deep cleaning and refurbishment; it was a little dingy, and some things (hair dryer, inside door latch) were broken.

Drapes were broken. Drywall under bathroom sink was patched with cardboard and duck tape. Mold in bathroom sink under rim. Lap shades broken and mismatched. Hair dryer torn off wall.

We loved the pool and Hottub… Our first room’s toilet was broken, so was the second. Caulk was moldy. Carpets ripped. Staff were nice.

I stay at the hotel just for the night on my way from Portland to Vancouver. I doubt they clean the room before I arrived. The coffee maker was not clean and when I went to bed the noticed one of the pillows had make up on it. Slept there because it was very late but I don’t think I will book this hotel again or recommend. The cost is way to high for the condition of the room, nothing worse than to think you are sleeping on a bed that has not been cleaned after the previous guest left.

We expected a functional pool and hot tub. When we got there the pool was empty with dirt next it, the hot tub was literally brown and green. This was the reason I chose this location. I wasn’t informed in advance of the $100 depot amount in advance so that was a surprise. No hand soap. Only 2 towels provided for 4 people.

Unfortunately, the bathroom had mold around the tub & the bathroom floor & floorboards were dirty. Couldn’t bring ourselves to use the shower. The outward appearance of the motel was nice & the staff were pleasant & helpful.

I have done reviews for hotels before and the final numerical result comes out different from what I would actually give the hotel. I would rate this place between 7 to 7.5. The location is great. Room was clean. My room faced the country restaurant. Very noisy traffic, but wasn’t a big issue for me. Might be for some. The windows were quite dirty and looking out of them was a constant reminder. The glass doorway to get outside was also filthy and the stains on the hall carpets that look like they have been bleached in those areas, is not very appealing. The room was fine though, except it did have some weird odour on my second night. The bathroom pipes or sewage smell coming from somewhere. I didn’t say anything to the staff because I wasn’t there much. Only to sleep. There are various pieces of garbage strewn outside of the property. Easy to clean up. Just do it once a day. Staff were nice except the guy with the long hair tied back. I arrived at 2:46pm. He moaned because I was early. I went and waited in my car. Went back in at 2:57pm to check in. As soon as I walked in the door, he didn’t look at me, he looked right at the clock and miserably said, there’s still 3 minutes left. I’ve never ever had any hotel motel clerk do that or be so miserable. That right there made me want to say I am not staying here. Based on that I would give the place a zero rating. The rest of the staff were nice. Good location and okay place to stay for a night or two. Clean up the property tho.

Check in was quick and employee was efficient. Our room was nice ( upper floor) . My mom and sister had a room on the ground level that had an awful dog smell. Pool looked clean. Looked like they had nice bbq areas. Some old hotel furniture outside the building needs to be removed. Other customers had an unsavory vibe.

I figured it’d be noisy being on the highway, but that’s ok, the motorcycles going by were obnoxious — but you’re on a highway! the check in was great— the guy working was friendly and efficient and confirmed we had the right idea for dinner— even gave us menu hints!! We loved the fact we were placed opposite the highway 20, so that DID help with the noise— the AC worked really well (in a hot spell right now) and the shower was hot and strong— we even asked for extra towels so we could shower twice!! bed was comfy—

These hotel rooms are in need of an update. There is a traffic circle right outside the hotel and it seems to be a popular place for people to "gun" their trucks and muscle cars as they speed up the hill.

Handy location but lots of traffic noise. Good price. Expensive pet fee. No exhaust fan in toilet/shower area.

Jeremy at the front desk was very helpful with my reservation. Some people in the front desk area were very loud for one in our party in room over stairs above lobby. Nice to get discount at diner at the end of parking lot. Breakfast very good. Nice waitress for dinner but new menu and kitchen was understandably slow. Bed was very comfortable! Coffee in room or lobby.

A very disappointing, disruptive and upsetting experience. We were called the morning of our stay and told our room was no longer available due to plumbing issues and they were full so had no room for us at all. We have regularly stayed here either booking directly or via 3rd party. This year we booked it 2 weeks in advance and even called to confirm that we had a dog friendly room. The cancellation policy is such that 72 hours in advance you can no longer cancel and they can charge your credit card. Therefore this last minute notification that they did not have a room for us was a shock. As it was a Saturday night we asked for help finding a room, they found one availability but it was for double the price, and they were not willing to make up the difference. After several hours they informed us they found something in Burlington at a similar price but that isn't even on Whidbey Island so we declined and ended up having to change our plans completely. We will not be staying here again as feel we cannot trust that they will fulfill any reservation.

the stay was fine,the issue is they kept my 50 dollar deposit because I spilled coffee on my sheets , anyone out there knows you can get coffee or blood stains out of sheets, furthermore Ive called 9 times I've left an email and no call back, they said call between 10 and 2 , I did ,why don't they call me , I will never stay again , totally unprofessional

Charged me $25.00, saying i took a face cloth and a hand towel. Called 4 times and manager never called me back. Since i had to go to the front desk and ask for 2 towels for the pool which i received 2 hand towels. So instead of me being accused of taking 2 towels they should have had 2 extra towels. Very sneaky. Never had this happen to me before in my 40 uears of traveling.

Our stay was amazing the staff were amazing beds were so comfortable. They even called us to let us no my son had left his bugs bunny stuffy just shortly after we left. So they got to cleaning very quickly after we checked out and gave our deposit back right after they were done cleaning the room. Pool and hot tub were so nice and comfortable. That's where we will be staying from now on.

We liked the price the most. We were back and forth between Anacortes and Mt Vernon so was convenient. Was happy for the coffee maker I used for hot water. Glad to see the refrigerator also. Road noise bothered a bit but it's right at a busy intersection. We would stay here again.

Room was larger than expected and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and the location is 20 paces from a restaurant, bar, gas station, convenience store and coffee hut. It couldn't be more convenient. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore Anacortes and San Juan Islands.

It is located off of a very busy thoroughfare, which makes accessibility incredibly easy but if is far enough back that the traffic/noise isn't a nuisance. I really enjoyed my visit, thank you so much

We were spending a few days in town and on the beach with our dog and this place was exactly what we needed. A place to crash at the end of a busy day . We will totally stay here again. A lot of reviews complained about them not having a breakfast but there is a diner and mini mart in the parking lot right next to it . It was easy to get a snack when we forgot to go to the grocery store and didn’t feel like driving. Solid location . Friendly staff. We had a great time !

Not to far from Anacortes. Hwy is busy in the day, but quiet at night. Friendly staff. Corner Restaurant has good food. Nice hotel for the price!

The little coffee shop past the store and restaurant was great..... 👙 🐥 😁 The store has a giant sign that says 24 hours, but it is not 24 hours. This the place was close to the casino so we liked it for that. Just average with no breakfast or anything special.

It was a wonderful stay as always. We enjoy staying here and meeting friends at the corner in. Breakfast at the corner cafe the next day is always the best.
