Best Western Plus Kennewick Inn

An otherwise fine hotel experience was tainted by the pool being closed for construction, despite no notice of pool closure on the website; we chose that hotel almost entirely for its pool, based on their own and site advertisements. It was false advertising, and no rate reduction to make up for it either. That aside, the rooms were fine, and breakfast was pleasant, with a variety of choices.

The pool was dark and the sauna didn't work. Also, our key cards would not work ( they would get demagnetized often ). This was the only hotel on our trip that did this.

Love that the pool is 24 hours

We didn't stay because there was no hot water. The staff was very nice and embarrassed that the hot water tank was broken and there was no idea of when it would be fixed. Otherwise it appeared to be a first class hotel.

Overall it was fine. Towels were not clean though and microwave was sticky in the room. I have stayed here in the past and it’s been great, this visit was below standard to what it was even a year ago. Went to the pool, and there was barely any chlorine in it. Over priced for the room condition.

Very nice lady helping at breakfast! Elevator wasn’t operating so had to carry luggage upstairs, no help offered.

The hot water heater was broken, so there was no hot water for showers. While that was annoying, I have to admit having a working hot tub made up for it a little. And, I was given an additional $20 off of the room and they said I would get double points.

Our room was very dirty. Hair in mutiple places, dirty mirror, disgusting chair with white stains, looks like there was food on the walls in places.

The room we stayed in (213) had old food and garbage left in it. The bathtub and the shower both backed up and didn't drain correctly. The carpet was sticky in one spot and wet in another. The shower heads only partially worked. The key card reader only worked 50% of the time and an attendant had to be called. The lights above the sink in the room only 1/3 worked.

Worst bed I’ve ever slept on. Bedding and towels had stains. Room was full of rips, cracks, and dings — dirty and extremely dated. Definitely would not come back.

The staff at the desk was friendly, the hotel is nice. We rented two rooms. They were both “clean”, but one of them had a toilet that had NOT been cleaned. Pee on the seat.

Clean room. Nice linens and comfortable bed. Nice upkeep of hotel. Beautiful interior decorating in common areas

The room was dated, furniture was torn and dirty. The bed covers, shower curtain and furniture had a musty and cigarette odor (we are non smokers). The shower was ok but the room needs a deep cleaning!!

Our room with 2 queen beds was everything one could ask for: spacious, well-equipped and well lit. The beds were super comfy, Our only issue was with nearby traffic noise - which obviously is not something the hotel could control, and is an unavoidable downside of being in such a convenient location to nearby major highways. We would have been happy to spend more time in this location if our itinerary had permitted, and hope to stay here again.

A bit dated, but great staff, a huge room, free breakfast and parking worked out well.

Just a stay over while passing thru from my home and a work site. Tri cities isn’t much and hotels are pricy. Anyhow the place could use some upgrades in furniture and bedding. WiFi would not connect with my IPad and by today standards this should be a breeze. Otherwise it’s a typical hotel. Surprisingly quiet considering it was packed.

We booked this trip because my husband is a long haul truck driver and only had 1 full day off before he had to be back on the road again. Becauae of this, we had booked a room for 2 nights with the jetted tub. The idea was thay he'd be able to soak his tired body on his day off. The room itself wasn't bad...at first. The tub worked great, and he did get to use it the first night. However, the bed was so terrible that we had to request to change rooms for the second night. Now, I'm admittedly boogie when it comes to beds and sleep. My husband on the other hand is absolutely NOT picky! He's a 10 year Navy vet who can literally sleep anywhere, and in any position! So when we both had an absolutely terrible night trying to sleep, he told me the bad was bad! Whew, it wasnt just me. Aside from the bed, that particular room was fairly dirty. As in, the cointer area was sticky, the wood blinds were covered in dust, and even the headboard was filthy dusty. The room on the second night didn't have the jetted tub, but we both agreed that a decent night of sleep was worth giving that up. However, our room rate wasnt adjusted to reflect this. Sure, the young lady at the front desk apologized profusely for the uncomfortable bed, but that was out of her control. She did tell me she was going to adjust the room rate, but as we were walking up the stairs with the new room keys, someone (I'm assuming a manager or owner) wanted to know what "that's all about." Our final bill was the same.

Didn’t like the traffic noise

Room was neat and clean. Mattresses could be changed. The room faced the roadway which was extremely noisy all night long. Didn't get much sleep. I asked the person at check in for a quiet room. They said this room would be quiet. I should have insisted on a room on the back side like I normally get at this location.

First room we checked in smelled of old smoke. The nice lady at the front desk switched us to another room which was much better, and apologized for any inconvenience.

We absolutely loved this property for so many reasons. One being that the staff were beyond friendly and VERY kind and helpful, another reason being the pool was open 24 hours and we are big pool people and busy people so that was very amazing for us. Another reason being the hotel texted us which was a real live person from the minute we booked it to when we were there until we left, and it meant a lot to us. Another thing was how nice it was that they had a little snack and drink bar by the front desk with plenty of options for kids,

I booked this hotel for the 24 hour hot tub and breakfast. Unfortunately, I was unable to experience the hot tub because one family after another were playing in the hot tub with their children late at night. I tried to wait it out, but then another family came in. Nobody was breaking the rules, but it is unfortunate as an adult with leg and back pain that I cannot use the hot tub because kids are playing in it. Normally, this would not be the end of the world for me, but it was disapointing considering that this was the primary reason I booked the hotel. Breakfast was disapointing. I was so excited for it and it was supposed to run until 9:30. They stopped stocking plates, cups, and forks prior to 9am. They also stopped stocking their eggs and meat around that time even though they said they cook until 9:30. I waited 30 minutes by the egg station and finally asked an employee if there were more eggs coming and she veey rudely ahowed me her clock and that it was 9:30 and they are done. I won't get into the whole interaction, but it was rude and awful customer service, on top of the fact that whoever was in charge of keeping an eye on breakfast and morning operatoons dropped the ball. There were other issues but they are minor by comparison. I am hoping my stay was a fluke... they have great reviews but this was not worth $130. We were going to stay here a few times a year for a clean & sober softball tournament but we will have to take our group somewhere more accommodating.

Traveling through, great place to stop for the night. Staff very friendly and helpful from check in to check out. Natasha in the breakfast area was amazing. Place was cleaned between guests, great food supply, no one had to wait for anything. She is kind and friendly and certainly gives off the vibe of its going to be a great day. People make the place, she should get a bonus. The pool and hot tub are nice and big. We will stay again

Slow service at check in.

The property had trash from homeless folks, it made us feel like our belonging in our car weren't going to be safe. We also got checked in and about 30 mins later some other folks walked into our hotel room (#231) The front desk guy (younger fellow) gave us both the same room keys. After it was resolved we stopped by the front desk to make sure everything was settled before we headed out to dinner. He assured us all was good. We got back to our hotel room after dinner and neither of our room keys worked.

Staff were nice. There was a smell to the room, there was no de-caf coffee at breakfast and no one was manning the front desk when I wanted to check out at 10AM.

No greeting, no acknowledgment after walking in. Employee at check in didn’t seem like he was having a good day. Night shift staff, quite arrogant and rude during the short interaction. Place looks the same as it did two years ago. Love the 24hr access to the pool, tub and gym.

Hotel was well situated next to a McDonalds and a Walmart, along a main thoroughfare. Unfortunately, road noise from the street was an issue when trying to turn in early. Pro tip: ask for a room facing the back of the building.

Parking lot was a bit sketchy, lots of people hanging around and smoking near the lobby entrance.

Way too expensive for what you get. It’s clean and if it was cheaper you wouldn’t leave so unsatisfied. The hotel clearly needs some tlc/maintenance throughout. Front desk is the worst I have dealt with at a hotel. Beds are squeaky, key cards don’t work properly, the shower has lukewarm water not hot. Breakfast is just okay but they tend to close it down earlier than advertised. Bedding is thin, same with the walls so you can hear hallway noise. I would expect more when spending over $500

Great breakfast, helpful staff

Great property and staff! The bed was awesome, slept like a rock! The free breakfast was a real treat, including omlets, potatoes, sausage and waffles. Really enjoyed our stay!

It was a really nice stay. Breakfast was great, a lot of choices. High chair for kids. Friendly staff. Clean restroom in pool area. Mcdonalds and Walmart right behind the hotel. There are so many restaurants close by, within walking distance. Very good location. You could hear the traffic a little bit not too bad.

The breakfast was cold both mornings . My shower was clogged told the front dest multiple times had to stand in standing wayer when we took showers

I appreciate their efforts, but some key elements were missing that would have turned 2 stars into 4 or 5. - No working cable TV when we checked in. It worked the next morning, but it meant finding other ways to spend a few hours of down time when we figured we would wind down with a movie or show after 5 hours of driving. - Room keys that drop charge when they get within a thought of your cell phone. That led to return trips to the front desk. - Fox News programming in the breakfast area versus local news, weather channel, or something non-controversial for background. Coming off of a heated election cycle, I would bet some folks were not in the mood for political news while trying to eat breakfast. - Missing breakfast items. We went down for breakfast around 8:30 and many things were out or almost out. The omelettes on the menu were out and took about 20 minutes to reappear. Other things were just down to a handful of items and were not restocked since breakfast was set to close… in another hour. What we did like was that it is conveniently located, our room was definitely spacious, and staff seemed to be trying. Again, a few small tweaks would have gone a long way.

The staff was friendly even helpful and the property was clean and the breakfast was more than than dry eggs and kids cereal. It had toppings for the waffles, fat biscuits for the gravey and real oatmeal.

Breakfast was good our first night but they coukd not keep up with the demand on the second day.
