Baymont by Wyndham Eau Claire WI

While the price was good and the rooms were clean, this property needed updating. The ice machine was broken and leaking 3 out of 4 days. Not everything worked in exercise room.

This was a nice hotel for trying to stay on a budget. No hot tub, but the pool was nice. Very much a construction crew pit stop.

It is a nice hotel if staying one night and not spending a lot of time in your room. Rooms are a little on the small side. Small gym and tried to use, but could not get in. Just decided to walk outside

The pool was out of commission. That is one of the main reasons I chose the hotel

The parking lot lines need to be repainted, making it difficult to park after dark, but everything else was great! The mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room all worked very well. The shower and bath were also very nice.

The parking lot was covered in ice and was very slippery. Other businesses around the hotel had ice free parking lots so i'm not sure what happened.

The pool was broken, but staff was nice, descent breakfast and room was ok.

Nice to be close to stores and restaurants. I was average clean. Which, is fine. Our carpet was wet the whole 2 day stay. Some areas more so than other. Wet from guests using the pool? Id rather they give that room time to dry. Before, renting. . The room wasnt comfortable. Had to hve shoes on or walk barefoot. I did go barefoot twice. It felt gross.

The bed was like concrete. I had to go get my camping pad from the car. I pulled the fitted sheet back to place my pad under it and the mattress and mattress pad were stained with all kinds of nastiness. Please launder or replace the mattress pad. New mattress. The room carpet was beyond sticky and flinty. It's WI people! Dirt, salt, snow. How often are you steam-cleaning your carpets? Speaking of carpets, I have NEVER seen such filthy hallway carpets. Are they not vacuumed daily? I'm aware of proper food-handling practices. This establishment at some time will pass on a food-borne illness to their patrons. Here's what I saw. 1) The front desk worker was doing paperwork, touching the computer, etc. Then he proceeded to go to the "kitchen" and was microwaving some sausage patties. He didn't wash his hands, he wasn't wearing a hair restraint or apron. He put on some cheap little one-time use gloves, then put the patties in the chafing dish. Then he went straight to cleaning the windows with a dirty rag (at least he was cleaning the windows, right?!), then went straight back to the kitchen and started handling more food. He NEVER washed his hands. Then I noticed his assistant came directly from the laundry room where she was handling dirty laundry, touched her mouth with her hands, donned a clean pair of gloves and started working with food w/o washing her hands. This is unacceptable. I will be county their county Health Department and lodging a complain. You've been warned.

Carpet was dirty, no way was I walking on it barefoot. Behind mattress was dirty, kids toys, headphones, crumbs, lamp shade cracked and dirty.

Heavy running, jumping, noise from room above for several hours at night and early morning. We were put right below a "kitchen room". Hated it. Lost sleep. Had to call hotel desk more than once.

the price reflects the condition: - TV difficult to operate - Room too small for added equipment, desk - would've preferred a receipt at checkout, not email from Hotels.com - door security latch missing + comfortable beds + good maid service + comfortable "computer room"

The beds were comfortable but the room should have had only one bed. Very cramped

It was a good hotel just for an overnight stay. The bed was actually quite comfortable. If I had to complain about anything, it would have to be how the bed was placed in conjunction with the TV. I had a sore neck trying to watch tv from the bed.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years. It is always clean and comfortable. The sheets are exceptionally soft for a budget hotel. It can be a bit noisy, as the doors close quite loudly and any noise in the hallway is easily heard in the room. It's not disturbing enough to prevent me from returning to this hotel in the future. The staff at check in and out was very friendly.

When my husband checked into his room, the toilet didn’t flush and there were dirty towels in the bathroom. I told him to call the front desk. They said there was a plunger he could use and they didn’t have a housekeeper on. They said they couldn’t exchange his room because the room was booked not through them but a third party. So he’s stuck in the dirty room with no toilet. I had to book him this room because we are having a blizzard in Minnesota and it was too dangerous for him to drive home. This place is disgusting and we won’t be returning

The staff and service at this Baymont was super friendly and helpful. The staff went above and beyond for us after we lost an item upon checkout! The room was perfectly clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast was wonderful. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in EC!

No one at the front desk to check in. Had to wait nearly 10 minutes for her to return to the desk. The room was nice and clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. After showering, discovered that the hair dryer didn't work 😑 otherwise a nice, quiet and reasonable cost. 😀

I booked two rooms for one night and after checking in I went to the rooms and found out that the rooms were not made up. Towels were on bathroom floors and beds were not made up. Tried to contact the receptionist and it took more than 15 minutes to get in touch with her. She assigned another two rooms and those were okay

I set off the smoke alarm when I turned on the heat. No response from anyone. I shut off the heat and it quit alarming. The desk clerk just said no big deal.

It is a very nice, reasonably priced hotel close to Hwy 53 and I94, central to Eau Claire, with many dinner options and shopping close by.

The hotel was nice, accessible to the highways, and had lots of great food options nearby.

Guest laundry sort of dirty, trash on floor, trash in dryer. Breakfast had waffle machine, toaster and package oatmeal. Ran out of items and staff had no more.

The absolute worst coffee I have ever had. I took one sip and poured it out. I wish they wouldn’t even offer coffee. Not a good way to start a busy day. *note I am not a coffee snob

Night one it was like we walked through a fog of marijuana smoke walking in the front door. The fire alarm went off for what felt like about 30 minutes in the middle of the night, but fire department never showed up. The fire panel was still going off the next morning, so it was never reset. The fruit was covered in mold. I moved the moldy fruit out of the serving area, but the staff nearly placed it back, but they turned it upside down, so you could not see the mold. It’s supposed to be a smoke free facility, but several windows and screens were off at night, and smoke was visibly coming out. Really disappointing stay based on previous reviews, so I am questioning if the reviews were even legitimate. Choose a different option

It was a very pleasant stay - the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were generous and there was much variety, the rooms very comfortable.
