So I recently stayed here for a convention we were attending. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast they offer was better than expected. Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, coffee and more. My biggest complaint would have to be the pool area. The hotub and pool definitely could use a cleaning and half of the jets don't work in the hotub. Also be mindful there is no elevator for the second floor. Finally the wifi signal is very weak.

There are NO elevators....so if you get on the second floor, you need to go up a flight of stairs. Also the Hot tub was dirty and the sauna didnt work

The hotel was very quiet and clean and the parking was easy and close. We enjoyed the daily breakfast with the hours from 6-10am. The pool looked nice, but we did not use it. The front desk daytime staff were friendly and helpful. The only things we did not like were that the bed was too close to the wall making it difficult to get in on one side and there was no maid service to make the bed, or check the need for towels in the bathroom.

Before you accept to stay in any room in AmericanInn you should check that you can connect to the Inn's wifi. My 3 night stay in room 217 had very weak wifi reception making it almost possible to connect to wifi. Also my room was never "made up" during my full two day, 3 night, stay.

For the money we paid, this was an unacceptable room. The room was very small, outdated and not clean. We were under the impression that the room was larger according to the picture. The corners of the room and bathroom were dirty and looked like they are never cleaned. The bathroom was so small you could barely close the door. The bathtub and tile were old and and stained. The light switch by the door did not work. The one thing we didn't see on the website was a notice that there was no elevator. There aren't a lot of steps going to the 2nd floor but when you are in your 70s and have to carry your suitcases and cooler up the steps it is a challenge. We saw another elderly couple struggling to get up the steps who said they also did not know that there wasn't an elevator. You should have a staff member available to help people with their luggage. The location to the downtown area is good.

People working there were friendly. The man who checked me in recommended a restaurant which I appreciated. The room and property itself was sub par. The property is old - like staying a hotel from the 80's. The room was the biggest issue. Dirty! Pubic hair in the bathtub and on the toilet. Urine on the toilet bowl rim. Also, the shower did not drain properly so you had to stand in inches of water while showering.

Black slimy mold came out of the whirlpool when I turned on the water. I used a towel to wipe it off and showed the photos to the attendant when we checked out. The hotel is dated but has potential to be much better. No napkins at the breakfast area and when I asked I was told they simply just ran out? Strange but ok.. I deleted the photos after I spoke to the attendant but wish I'd kept them to show here. It was pretty gross.

My room wasn’t ready until after 5:30 PM, I wasn’t told there was parking around the back of the hotel which was much closer to My room. Toilet needed 2 flushes for even toilet paper to flush. Biggest issue was the room phone didn’t work - when I tried to to contact the front desk by using the “0” Button as per instructions on phone I Kept getting a busy signal. If I had an emergency there was no way I could have contacted anyone to get help. This could have been a liability issue. I reported this the next morning and that night and nothing was done. I also asked that the manager contact me and when I finally Was able to Meet with him he had never received any messages about my issues inspite of 5 contacts I made from 10:00 PM on 7/13/25 to 7/15/25 at 10;30 AM. Once I met with the manager he was very concerned and accommodating. I asked if for a late check out the day before but that was not communicated to the house keeping staff. Also the WIFI wouldn’t stay connected. Great breakfast with a good variety of selections. Room was great sized

Great place to stay. For being on 51 the rooms were quiet. The rooms were clean and spacious.The breakfast in the morning was nice. I wish they had a lounge on the property for guests. Definatley stay there again.

Nikki at the front desk was amazing! She went out of her way to make me and my 2 kids feel welcome. She played with them, when the desk was slow, and asked questions that showed she really cared about them. As she restocked breakfast one morning, she also picked out a new cereal from the back that she knew the kids would like and brought it to them first! They felt so special. The pool and hot tub were perfect, and the location was great. We will definitely be back!

The front lobby was an inviting gathering place. The queen bed and sofa were perfect firmness for me. The ice/snow storm were challenging, but the lot got plowed and salted, and the staff stepped up in helping one another to assist guests and get tasks done efficiently. Jimmy (GM), Barbara, Tiffany and Tiffany (staff I had interactions with) make this hitel unique and i really appreciated that my service dog DJ was treated like a guest, as well. I look forward to my next stay.

This is the most amazing place we’ve ever stayed! We had some very bad luck that landed us extended our stay up north and leaving a cabin to check into a hotel, and they made us feel like home!! The staff is incredible. Great pool and nice rooms!! I would recommend this hotel to everyone! No hotel stay will ever live up to this one

The property is aged and rundown and the breakfast isn't very good for $170 a night. And the hotel wouldn't allow an early checkout because I booked through Expedia. When Expedia called them they said they were too busy to take the call so I paid for an additional overpriced night for no reason.

Loved this hotel. It was very clean and quiet, and the bed was sooo comfortable. Nice breakfast set up, and the pool and hot tub are lovely. Its in a perfect area… close to everything and just across the street from the beach. Staff was wonderful. There was an elderly couple at breakfast, and they were taking a long time to eat. The staff kept breakfast open for an extra hour just so they could have a peaceful meal. Five stars in my book!!

Have stayed there 2-4 times a year for the last 3 years. It has gotten worse and we will not be back. The place is getting run down and dirty. They run out of breakfast food all the time. Some of the staff at the front desk are not friendly.

The bathroom needs some serious updating. It was disgusting!! The bed was extremely comfortable though. The breakfast was ok at best. They ran out of eggs and I had to ask for more waffle mix. The gentleman that I believe was the manager seemed annoyed that it happened. I would not return to this property.
