Studio Lodge Laramie

I had a hard time finding a plug to work. Even though there was construction there was not reason for hallways not to have been vacuumed. The room was clean, but plugs didn’t work, and lights did”t work. The outside doors were not secured. Anyone could walk in. The only amenity in the morning was coffee.

The outside is in a state of unrepair. Does not look like it has been touched since new

The lodge is under renovation but no work currently being done. The floors are new and beds seem new. All clean but many repairs are still needed. Location was good. I will check it out again when more has been done.

front canopy was being held up by 2X4's Some one had hit it 2 weeks ago I was told. Not being fixed. Train noise to loud after 10 pm

This was the filthiest and most run down hotel I have ever seen. The whole building was literally falling apart. The awning for the lobby was being held up by a couple 2x4’s and you can’t drive through it. The pool is filled in with rocks that are overgrown with weeds. The room hadn’t even been vacuumed and the bathroom floor was so sticky you could barely lift you feet.The entire building smells like mildew and the entry doors have no security. The doors were painted while closed and the edges of them are still the old color. I am ashamed to have taken kids to that hotel.

The lobby is nice, doesn't smell and the front desk people are really nice...then you get into the halls with the rooms. there is a smell that starts in the hallways--a mixture of cigarette smoke and pee. the first room we tried opened the door and overwhelming smell of cat urine. we tried a different room, while walking down the halls we noticed that around every door locked it appeared as if someone had tried to kick in the doors based on the cracks and attempted fixes. got to the second room and the beds were okay but then tried to lock the dead bolt and it didn't lock bc the dead bolt didn't line up with the door frame. we tried a third room and same thing--dead bolt didn't line up. we also noticed a random room that had 2 chairs in it and beer bottles. the hallways were littered with various trash and toilet paper. the doors to the outside parking g lot didn't lock so anyone could enter/exit the hotel without being seen by hotel staff. bottom line: it's the cheapest option for a reason: it stinks, the rooms are gross and it feels horribly unsafe.

They are remodeling needs lot more work. The bed was very comfortable . They painted the walls but didn't clean up the paint dropping on the counter. The smoke detector was beeping and had to call the front desk to bring a new battery. Bathtub was very slippery and no rails to hold on too. There is no handicap parking and they do not reserve any downstairs rooms for the handicap. There is no elevator for the handicap. If you can't climb 2 flights of stairs your SOL. It is not mention on the website about not having a elevator or any accommodations for the handicap. My door, was not tightly secure, there was a gap and loosley locked. I put a chair against the door. If you are a big person you have a hard time tryi n g to get to the sink because the door way is so small. Toilet is low to the floor. I will not stay here again because it can't accommodate the handicap.

The side entrances could be entered by anyone off the street. Most hotels restrict access to unmanned entrances but not these guys. The halls smell and the carpets are beyond help. I will say our room appeared to have some effort put into upgrading and was comfortable enough, until we woke up and tried to take a shower and the knob for the shower was broken. How would house keeping not have known this if they are cleaning? If they did and reported it why was it not fixed prior to the room being rented again. One other thing I learned is that I will never book a room with a hotel that emphasizes that you are only able to obtain refunds through corporate approval, because that should of been my first clue that this hotel was inadequate and that this is all too common of a request. The dead bolt on our door did not work, further adding to the feeling that this hotel does not care about the security of it's guests. The head board on one of the beds was loose and when you movedit would hit the wall. There was no electric outlets that were accessible near the beds. The staff that we encountered was courtious enough.

Dangerous. Chain to door was missing. Eye peep hole was filled with Vaseline. Bathtub was running non stop. Heat in the room was broken. Sink had past vacationer toothpaste residue on counter. Tv didn’t work. Lots of patched holes in walls Broken furniture. Back door wouldn’t stay closed. Lots of broken ac window units all piled up by back door- 20 _ General feeling of trashed atmosphere/ horrible smell of smoke. I was desperate due to I- 80 being closed… but this was definitely NOT a good night’s sleep

This property is dirty and not maintained. The roof over the entrance appears to be falling down. The building should be condemned and one could break an axel in potholes in the parking lot. The TV was not operative and there was no help. Never again Wyndham property.

Filthy. Dilapidated.People live there. Dried urine on the toilet. Garbage on carpet.

Absolutely filthy room...the condition of the corridors and the furniture in them should have been a tip-off. Bathtub was coated with grime, mirror was spattered with other people's toothpaste & spit, water, soap, & goodness knows what. Dirty, smelly towel stuffed under tray in microwave, garbage in drawers, behind furniture, lamps all unplugged when we arrived, an obvious "stain" on the towel that was serving as a substitute for a bathmat, a glob of something white and gooey on one of the headboards, pubic hair on the dirty ice bucket, which was sitting on a tray that had thick dirt. Desktop, cabinet, and countertop had something sticky all over them. While checking out, housekeeping staff was shouting in rooms, still in their slippers and pajamas, filthy, obscene language, complaining about guests. DON'T STAY HERE!

The TV didn't work, the lock could have been pushed through the door due to poor installation. The hallways were dirty and the trash was overflowing. Outside property was unkempt. The staff was nice so that was a plus.

Room was so dirty. Sticky floors. Moldy shower. Trash under beds and behind furniture. Beds were clean and comfortable. Fyi not a chain so they dont have coffee in the rooms.

Thoroughly disappointed. The sheets were dirty and they would not give us clean sheets. The shower had mold in it. The sink was dirty and nasty. The chair in the room has stains in it. When we called the front desk to get clean sheets, they said they didn’t have access to any clean sheets. I have pictures of the room. Will be requesting a refund.

The room wasn't clean hair on bathroom floor no wash rags the hallway and stairwell carpet was nasty.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are the best thing this property has going for it. We had 2 rooms for this visit. 1 one the main floor and one on the 2nd floor. The main floor room is a mess. It had been cleaned but it needed a good coat of fire to improve it. The upstairs room was in a little better condition but I suspect that the whole property had been condemned years ago and no one told the staff. I should have been warned by the broken pavement and potholes in the parking lot that it would be downhill from there. If you're looking for a quick rest and don't want to sleep in your car, this place will suffice but isn't worth $250 per night.

Skinny curtains wouldn't close.

Bed was great, tv a pain to work, old hotel in need of repairs. Ok for the price.

It is obvious from the unsealed air conditioners, broken heaters, and broken furniture, that the owner is uninterested in providing a decent stay for customers. Never, never, NEVER will I stay in that dive again.

My room had only 1 of 4 working lights. A/C stopped working making the room stuffy. They didn’t give me a receipt at the end of my stay (I left after one night, it was that bad) and they said the manager was the only one that could check me out because I was leaving early. The from Not desk person said that the manager would do it later, I have yet (a week later) to receive the bill so I have no idea if I was charged the second night. This was a terrible rooom and experience. I was also given a room with two beds and had reserved a king bed. Terrible all the way around

There was no hot water

The TV did not work. The microwave could not be plugged in because the outlets were taken up by the TV and refrigerator (which also did not work). The property is in shambles. Signs everywhere about trash! A horrible experience all around!

The room was dirty, only one light worked in the room and only 2 outlets worked. There was about a 3/4" gap around the door, which was not very secure. The shower head stuck out of a 6" diameter hole in the wall and there were multiple mold spores on the ceiling about the size of a nickel. Would not recommend!!

Big mistake staying here. The property is in poor condition everywhere. It wouldn’t be hard to break into our room since there was a gap between the door and frame. Room smelled of mold covered up by lemon cleaning products. Heater smelled of dust and dirt! Bed was fine, sink and shower worked but that was about it

Room door had bern smashed in and halfway repaired. Carpet filthy in halls. Skidmarks in comode and tub floor had dirty soap scum. TV a pain to use. AC broke in tge middle of the night, had to open window. Awning in front falling down and proped up. Btoken tile at entrance. Parking lot dirty and grounds unkempt. Its a dump

Outside is run down but the rooms were updated and clean.

1st- room wasnt cleaned. Bed a mess, dirty towels on floor. 2nd- next room had somone in it! 3rd- girl at desk had to clean first room. We get in there just for the A/C not work and the shower would only stay warm for 10 seconds before going cold

No service my entire 7 day stay.

Overall a good stay. The property is a little aged but they are working on fixing it up. The staff were very friendly and professional. Only issue was my door lock not working due to being worked on. They offered to move me to another room but I really didn’t want to move upstairs after a long day of driving. They did fix the safety latch on the inside and I sleep with protection nearby so it was perfectly fine.

the gentleman at the front desk was absolutely brilliant, incredible service and really made the stay a proper great time for me.

Your manager was rude as was your maintenance man, (lucky I didn’t kick his ass) mouthy as all could be! Stay anywhere else

Older hotel that is very worn. My first room was not clean so I had to walk back to front desk and get another. Front desk person was very nice.

Well, much was already previously mentioned. The building is definitely in need of some TLC, and maintenance. The staff was super nice and the room was clean with comfy beds. Since i was only there to sleep, thats all i needed. The price was on point (especially with what was being charged around town)

Rooms were clean. Customer service was good and they had coffee in the morning.

Outside of property looks condemned and like a homeless camp. Bed was clean and tub and toliet were clean. Room Had terrible smell and lights were scary. Hallway to room was gross and someone smashed food into carpet outside our door. Barely stayed one night almost slepted in car.

Decent place to stay for the price. A little dark on outside which some may not like.

I actually did not stay at this property. On a 4000 mile road trip this was by far the worst experience. Made reservations online while driving through the Expedia website. When I arrived and checked in realized that this property was totally misrepresented online. Outside was rundown, people working on cars in parking lot, loitering around the outside, inside doors to rooms appeared to have been pried open with crowbar, advertised hotel restaurant was actually a rundown sushi bar which was not open. Not advertised as an extended stay hotel which was evident on the Studio Lodge sign. After looking at assigned room I immediately went to the front desk and returned keys (didn’t even take ten minutes) and explained to staff that I did not feel safe and could not stay there. She said she understood and gave me the number to Expedia customer service so that I could request a refund the next day. Expedia contacted the Manager to request approval for refund and manager told them I had lied about the entire thing referring to checking in and returning keys within 10 minutes to check out for safety reasons. She also denied the refund. Even though Expedia offered me a miniscule credit I do not intend to ever book through Expedia again because it does not appear they take an interest in the properties they represent. I would suggest to anyone traveling through Laramie, Wyoming that you stay clear of the Studio Lodge.

My husband and I just completed a two week road trip and this property was the absolute worse property we saw. We had stayed at another Travelodge early in our travels and I made a HUGE error in assuming that they were all held to the same standard. Boy was I WRONG. This place looked nothing like the picture and when we got our key, it did not fit the room (we could have resolved that pretty easily) but there no lights in the hallway, resulting in total darkness and the odor was beyond description. There were people smoking in the hallway which meant that the odor would have permeated into our room. The exterior doors are not secured and as we looked around the building and the neighborhood we felt unsafe and did not stay there.

Close to I-80 Property is old and needs upgrade. Parking needs a lot of work. We slept good and only coffee with no breakfast that we saw. TV did not have local weather only Denver. We don't drink coffee so herb tea would have been nice. It gave us a quick nights rest

Motel is an older, rundown facility. I asked the desk clerk when I checked in about the adjoining restaurant. She did not recommend it. It was Korean sushi bar. Location right off expressway, limited parking with a trailer. Parking lot was trashy. Heat was baseboard electric and even with thermostat on 80 degrees I slept with my clothes on for warmth. By middle of the night, it had started to get comfortable. It had a mini refrigerator and when I opened it still had an ice chest and drinks from a previous guest in it. I told the night clerk the next morning when I checked out that he should make sure the cleaning crew cleaned it out. He stated "It would make a difference if I was the manager, but I'm just the night clerk." Would not recommend or consider returning.

When I pulled up there were multiple people working on there cars in the parking lot and cars with trash bags on their windows because they had been broken into. Checking in when fine but as I walked to my room I noticed multiple windows either boarded up or taped because they had been damaged. I went into my room and found Cheerios next to the bed, and all the door frames had cracks as if they had been broken into. For my safety I decided to cancel my reservation and not stay there.

I did not stay at this property - I drove around the building twice and did not go in as I would not stay there! No vehicles were there and the property appeared to be vacant!

Needed a place to stay for one night, bed, shower, and it was the right price. Clean no bugs, felt save in that area

The staff did a great job. It was advertised as breakfast included but there was NO breakfast. Facility needs MAJOR repairs but staff does a great job making it as clean and pleasant as possible.

There is no complementary breakfast as advertised. The room needed some attention in regards to cleanliness. While there, there was little to no TV service. We watch the game show channel the whole time...it's the only channel that worked.

The staff is amazing here Perry, who's the night time? Clark is awesome, very courteous, very kind, very helpful. I before like most of the staff. They do a great job on keeping the place clean, it is a nice place. To stay and the coffee is always hot all around-the-clock.
