This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. Highly recommend and will definitely go back again! Hotel 5 star modern/traditional architecture and furniture is 100/10, it was very luxurious. I really felt it had embraced the Tunisian culture and I left feeling I had truly immersed in the culture. The reception is stunning with high ceilings, and you walk in to the incredible smell of jasmine. Our room was clean with an excellent layout (large shower and bathroom and king size bed) with a balcony out to the amazing pool and palm trees. The staff were kind and very keen to accommodate and please- we made friends with Anis who was so kind and attentive. They have a private beach you can walk to. The breakfast was also of very high quality- excellent options of both continental and traditional foods with a separate bambini and Tunisian bread stand outside freshly made in front of you. Didn’t make use of the spa and they had a small gym but had enough equipment required for me. Pool was pristine. The plants such as palm trees and olive trees are beyond beautiful. Location The hotel is next to a mall that has conveniently a carrefour and hairdressers that we used regularly at a very cheap price (had events to go to). The hotel is far from the souk but only 20 mins from La marsa and given taxi is so cheap this was honestly not an issue.

A very nice hotel which benefits from an excellent team who provide a high level of service all round. Enjoyed the large outdoor heated pool and indoor spa, the hotel also has it's own private beach area and a nearby golf course. We ate in the Chinese and Tunisian restaurants which were both excellent and good value. There was also live music every night at the bar which was very comfortable and again the service excellent. If there is any criticism, the rooms would benefit from an upgrade. Doesn't need anything drastic, the shower blocked while we were there (quickly fixed) and a fresh coat of paint, re grouting and a new mirror in the bathroom would make a big difference. Only a £10 taxi ride from the airport and most of the tourist attractions are within 15-20 minutes by taxi. Would we go back, definitely.

Outside pool was under renovation. Overall a nice hotel. The downside is that is super far from everything and since it's a five star hotel, taxis will always overcharge you to take you to anywhere. There is no service of tour in the hotel, they only recommend one guy that is always busy. They don't help on that. The spa is great, hamman is te best service! I just don't recommend the manicure service, very bad and expensive.

A lovely place with many water and steam bath options. FYI the beach is not the ideal place for swimming. The people are so friendly. Great breakfast--huge and interesting choices. Shout out to Rania, an especially thoughtful server.

A beautiful venue, website does not do justice to the atmosphere abd beauty. Loved the design, architecture, comfort, professional yet friendly staff- from management to maintenence. Lovely grounds, short walk to private beach too. Only downside was no outside pool due to refurbishment/maintenance during our stay but team working on it round the clock - quietly. Only other minor noise issue meant couldn't sleep with balcony door open die to a nearby discotheque playing loud music but that will be commmon for any resident in the area. The hotel complex offers every comfort, I highly recommend it. Spa was relaxing too. We dud camel ride and horse riding on the beach (additional cost), a day out with the hotel recommended guide Fathi who looked after us, he went above and beyond what was expected. Thank you sooo much Bechir, Besma (management) and the whole team, esp Feysal at breakfast too. Looking forward to visiting again.

Overall the Resort was real nice. All Staff around the resort very lovely, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good, just at times we found the food replenishment to be bit slow. No half board etc options available, Al-arcate only for lunch and dinner which was fairly pricey but nice food. I am only giving 4* and not 5 because of 2 reasons. Outdoor pool very cold. Indoor pool for children only restricted between 8-10am and 12-2pm. Very hard managing around a 2yr old with his nap etc. One major downside was the Burkini ban. Being a muslim and being in a muslim country we did not expect this. Unfortunately my wife was not allowed in pool with me and my son so was not able to fully enjoy it. They allow muslim women to walk around whole grounds in hijab (scarf) but not in a pool which i found bemusing. Feedback given to manager who was really nice. Gave a Olive oil bottle (from hotel grounds) as a gesture to take back. Manager mentioned they will feedback to hotel chain execs on Burkini issue however i will not hold my breath with this being taken off. I would probably avoid this hotel for muslims as coming across as not so muslim freindly with the burkini ban. My advice to management was either fully allow burkini as you are a muslim country or allow burkini for certain times of the day. Secondly, the kids play room open only between 9-5pm for 3 yo only. We were given an exception but the 5pm finish meant we could not fully use the facility as we were out during the day.

Staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Room was a bit cold and thermostat was difficult to figure out. TV remote did not match instructions provided. Breakfast was excellent. Servers very friendly and helpful. Spa and grounds were nice. Appreciate having towels provided at beach.

Great pool and beach area. Service was awesome. I did think the food at the indoor restaurant's was little pricey so I ate at the bar and the pool bar. Great hotel! Oh, yea, the spa- I received the 4-treatment experience, amazing and affordable!

Dès l’entrée, on sent qu’on est au bon endroit : le personnel est très accueillant, poli et serviable. Tout est propre et bien entretenu, ça sent toujours bon. L’espace est immense, les serviettes sont propres et disponibles partout, que ce soit à la plage ou à la piscine. C’est le luxe absolu dans cet hôtel ! La seule petite chose que je reproche, c’est l’absence de bière Heineken… et aussi qu’il n’y a pas de charcuterie de porc, lol. Sinon, c’est clairement le meilleur hôtel que j’ai visité

Extraordinary service, immaculately clean and beautiful inside and out. Loved returning to our hotel at the end of a day filled with excursions to warm welcomes and the heady scent of orange blossom and jasmine in the air. It’s a true sanctuary to rest and relax with top bedding and comfortable sleep.

Didn’t make use of the spa and they had a small gym but had enough equipment required for me. Pool was pristine. The plants such as palm trees and olive trees are beyond beautiful. Location The hotel is next to a mall that has conveniently a carrefour and hairdressers that we used regularly at a very cheap price (had events to go to). The hotel is far from the souk but only 20 mins from La marsa and given taxi is so cheap this was honestly not an issue.

A very nice hotel which benefits from an excellent team who provide a high level of service all round. Enjoyed the large outdoor heated pool and indoor spa, the hotel also has it's own private beach area and a nearby golf course. We ate in the Chinese and Tunisian restaurants which were both excellent and good value. There was also live music every night at the bar which was very comfortable and again the service excellent. If there is any criticism, the rooms would benefit from an upgrade. Doesn't need anything drastic, the shower blocked while we were there (quickly fixed) and a fresh coat of paint, re grouting and a new mirror in the bathroom would make a big difference. Only a £10 taxi ride from the airport and most of the tourist attractions are within 15-20 minutes by taxi. Would we go back, definitely.

Only stayed here for 1 night and didn't use the restaurants but the hotel was very nice, both in terms of the public spaces and also the room itself. We had a sea view room and whilst the property is a short walk from the beach itself the outside pool and indoor hammam were lovely albeit very busy.

I usually stay at The Residence when visiting Tunison business, a great place to unwind after a long day at work. It's a little out of the way at Gammarth, but is a wonderful experience and easy to take a car into the city for nightlife. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the beds are perfect for a good night's sleep, and it's beachfront. Food options are plentiful, with meat and vegetarian choices. The drinks menu is good too. What's not to like?

The Residence Tunis was the perfect hotel for our first trip to Tunisia. The property is in a very quiet and safe location, and provides a multitude of amenities. The staff was incredible, helping us with anything we needed, from taxis to currency exchange, and everything in between. As an American, I highly recommend you stay here if you're considering a visit to Tunisia.

We booked this hotel because the Food and Beverage Manager assured us they could handle our daughter's nut and sesame allergy. We had all our meals (breakfasts and dinners) in the hotel. I can say after a week, they handled our daughter's allergy with care. In particular, the breakfast manager alerted us to stay away from many foods which I appreciated. The evening chef also took time too cook my daughter's meals separately which we appreciated. My mother is a vegetarian and they were also accommodating to her needs. Everyone here is really nice. The lady who makes tea by the indoor pool, the evening front desk lady (can't recall her name), the breakfast waiters, the dinner waiters, the maids, everyone). Even the guy who cuts lawns took time to show us some rabbits and chickens. Thanks to him too. The grounds are immaculate. Not a crumb in site and everything is top notch. The food was good in the restaurant and especially good at breakfast. Beds are super comfortable. This hotel was an oasis after returning back from our day trips each day. Good job to the entire team and thank you for a perfect stay. The only thing I would change is adding a 2nd bench to the weight room somehow:)

Great fancy stay with very welcoming staff and service during our stay until the checkout day! we realized at the end that all services delivered to us were paid and the driver has been counting days we were not getting any of his services, for example he counted the checkin day as one of his driving days although I haven’t seen him during that day and took taxi from airport to the hotel assuming that the driver will start his payment and work starting from second day when my friend arrives, but we discovered at the checkout day that everything is money and had to pay the driver for unused days during our stay. I recommend staying at the hotel but be careful and use external services or keep asking about extra charges on daily basis. And try to get a driver from a different company than the hotel if really needed.

Outstanding hotel, we can’t wait to come back. The staff was terrific. The hotel property, architecture, pool, beach, everything was wonderful. It’s so nice to stay at a hotel where you feel so well looked after. The slice of delicious birthday cake with birthday wishes left in our room as a surprise by the hotel staff was above and beyond.

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. Highly recommend and will definitely go back again! Hotel 5 star modern/traditional architecture and furniture is 100/10, it was very luxurious. I really felt it had embraced the Tunisian culture and I left feeling I had truly immersed in the culture. The reception is stunning with high ceilings, and you walk in to the incredible smell of jasmine. Our room was clean with an excellent layout (large shower and bathroom and king size bed) with a balcony out to the amazing pool and palm trees. The staff were kind and very keen to accommodate and please- we made friends with Anis who was so kind and attentive. They have a private beach you can walk to. Outside pool was under renovation. Overall a nice hotel. The downside is that is super far from everything and since it's a five star hotel, taxis will always overcharge you to take you to anywhere. There is no service of tour in the hotel, they only recommend one guy that is always busy. They don't help on that. The spa is great, hamman is te best service! I just don't recommend the manicure service, very bad and expensive.

J’ai passé un très agréable séjour avec du personnel d’une très grande qualité. Je recommande pour son calme , ses prestations, sa qualite de services. De plus , on y mange très bien . The hotel itself is luxurious but it’s rather remote. In the summer, I imagine it would be okay to just hang out at the beach or play golf. For winter, both those options were out, and there wasn’t much to do there. But the main reason I am rating the hotel a 4 rather than a 5 is because of their spa. It was the worst spa at a luxury hotel that I had ever been to. The staff was inattentive, the quality of their services was mediocre, and they had no amenities at all for their clients. No towels in the locker room, nor anywhere in the sauna or pool areas. No hair brushes or combs for after you receive your services, so I went to the airport from the spa with greasy hair for the rest of the day from the facial and massages. Food at restaurants were likewise mediocre, but the saving grace for all this was our server, Mohamed. He was attentive, thoughtful, and was always trying to do more for our dinner experience.

Gorgeous hotel. Don’t miss the warm salt baths. Breakfast buffet is next level. And staff went above and beyond. In particular the wait staff at the L’olivier restaurant was a delight.

We were so well looked after as vegetarians. The head chef made us a special breakfast and the team were very helpful in booking us into the hammam on the same day as we arrived. I wish we stayed longer

We booked this hotel because the Food and Beverage Manager assured us they could handle our daughter's nut and sesame allergy. We had all our meals (breakfasts and dinners) in the hotel. I can say after a week, they handled our daughter's allergy with care. In particular, the breakfast manager alerted us to stay away from many foods which I appreciated. The evening chef also took time too cook my daughter's meals separately which we appreciated. My mother is a vegetarian and they were also accommodating to her needs. Everyone here is really nice. The lady who makes tea by the indoor pool, the evening front desk lady (can't recall her name), the breakfast waiters, the dinner waiters, the maids, everyone). Even the guy who cuts lawns took time to show us some rabbits and chickens. Thanks to him too. The grounds are immaculate. Not a crumb in site and everything is top notch. The food was good in the restaurant and especially good at breakfast. Beds are super comfortable. This hotel was an oasis after returning back from our day trips each day. Good job to the entire team and thank you for a perfect stay. The only thing I would change is adding a 2nd bench to the weight room somehow:)

Beautiful hotel and more importantly, really great people! The level of service is on another level. We had fresh roses in the bathrobe, next to bathtub, table, side table etc etc. Breakfast was amazing with lots of options.

Great pool and beach area. Service was awesome. I did think the food at the indoor restaurant's was little pricey so I ate at the bar and the pool bar. Great hotel! Oh, yea, the spa- I received the 4-treatment experience, amazing and affordable!

I have been visiting The Residence Tunis for around 7 years and it is a hotel I always enjoy coming back to. The staff are warm, friendly, and welcoming and the hotel has a wonderful atmosphere that makes it feel almost like a second home. One of the highlights is definitely the breakfast, which is excellent — great quality, plenty of choice, and something I always look forward to when staying here. If there is one thing that needs improvement, it would be some renovation and refurbishment. After visiting for so many years, I have noticed that parts of the hotel are starting to feel a little worn and could use an update to fully match the luxury standard of the property. Despite this, The Residence Tunis remains a very special place to me. The warm atmosphere, wonderful staff and feeling of being at home are what keeps me coming back year after year.
