I booked through Expedia and didn't realize that there was no elevator. My friend and I are over 70yrs old and had been traveling for 9 days. This was our last stop before heading home. Our suitcases were very heavy to get up and down the stairs. The breakfast buffet was awesome.

Adjacent Butler Grill was excellent. We stayed for 4 days and the rooms were kept extremely clean. The gym was not available for use during our stay, due to renovation, and that was disappointing.

This was a great place to stay. The staff were very friendly, providing recommendations for things to do. The room was clean, and there is a place to plug-in for electric cars. We walked to Queen’s street, which was a 20-min walk in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We would stay here again.

The property was fine for an overnight stay. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Carpets looked as though they could use a good cleaning but the rest of the room and public areas were very clean and in good condition. The air conditioner in the room was extremely loud-bring ear plugs if you like a quiet sleeping environment.

Surprised that there were room renovations going on (drilling, noises, drop cloths in the halls). When workers left for the day, stairwells were not always vacuumed properly. Attitude of the manager was also surprising: when asked why we were not warned of the renovations, there was no "sorry for the inconvenience" or other show of empathy. Simply a "it's standard policy that we don't reach out to customers".

Great start to the trip, as we arrived early and room was ready at 1pm, and reception team let us right in. Room was spotless clean and a good amount of space for the two of us. Lots of cupboards, draws, hangars and our room had a sofa and fridge. Short walk to downtown and the theatres. Decent continental breakfast in the morning. Definitely book here again.

Newly renovated rooms in a wonderful convenient area. Feels very residential / small business mix. Smaller rooms but efficient layout and a wonderful location with easy delicious restaurants within 3 minutes of walking. Parking was wonderful and there is a pedal bike rental station out front. The bathroom is small but one of the cleanest & brightest I’ve ever seen. Great renovations here.

We could hear an alarm from the other room next to us. We were also right across from where they served breakfast. It was super loud and we didn't get much sleep during breakfast hours. There shouldn't be a room right across from where they offer breakfast. Otherwise it was a clean hotel and the staff was great.

We had an awesome time at Colonel Butler Best Western. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and they had a bottle of champagne waiting for us. They made our special day very special. The room was small but very clean and the breakfast was good too.

We had a wonderful welcome at the Colonel Butler Inn. We came for the eclipse, which was a bit of a bust because of cloud cover, but the stay at the Inn was really special. We brought our dog and their "dog-friendly" room was set up with a special carpeted platform and dog dishes, as well as a welcoming treat (call ahead to arrange this special service). The staff were all very friendly and thoughtful. We humans got special eclipse-cookies and other considerations while we were there. The room was clean and, miracle of miracles, had no odors (either underlying mildew or perfumy cleaners). This is a big plus for us, because one of my daughters and I are both sensitive to smells. Additionally, the free breakfast is fresh and varied with many delicious and healthy options. If we ever go back to Niagara-on-the-Lake, which is a lovely community, we would plan to stay here. Also, the area around the Inn is a quiet neighborhood which was great to walk through, with and without the dog.

Had an excellent stay. The only issue I had was not being allowed to check in taroubd 1:15 to drop off our bags a few minutes before our wine tour and to try and charge $40 for early check in. It was a Monday, the hotel was not busy so could have shown a little more flexibility.

We have stayed in Niagara on the Lake a number of times, but this was our first stay at the Colonel Butler Inn. We were pleasantly surprised and will return on our next theatre jaunt. The front desk was extremely friendly and our room was spacious and clean.

The convenience of being "just far enough" away from the hustle and bustle of the main street in Niagara on the Lake was perfect. Walking distance to everything, free parking, lovely breakfast included(the staff were terrific in the breakfast room) Windows that open for fresh air and comfortable decks/patios to relax outside of the room.

It’s a really beautiful hotel with flowers at the entrance. I would say , all meets our expectations. The room is big , clean and very organized. It’s a walking distance to the downtown. The staff at the reception is very helpful when I asked her help with the restaurant info in the town. Having Breakfast at the balcony is a great experience.
