During our whole week stay our room was never cleaned, coffee pods never refilled, no clean towels (even after being requested a few times, only get one towel per person so if you plan to go to the pool you won’t have an extra towel. However, after seeing the pool you won’t want to even go in it. It’s freezing cold and the water is murky and gross and the bottom of the pool is peeling and the hot tub was all boarded up. It’s also located in a creepy corner of the hotel basement. There’s only one restaurant on site and it doesn’t have a good selection and the food was mediocre for the price. All the vending machines located throughout the hotel were out of order so there’s no options for beverages or snacks at the hotel. Definitely would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Check in went quick and smooth, room was nice and clean. Updated bathroom for sure, it was very nice. Bit of a confusing layout, pool was not clean at all and the hot tub was closed. Pool was also very small and shallow, it definitely hadn’t been checked or cleaned in awhile.

The resturant wasnt open , it was a tuesday No snacks or working vending machines Had maintenance in my room for multiple issues immediately instead of just moving us rooms we just had to sit around awkwardly as the person was moving funiture around following extension cables to make lights work and the phone , no pictures on the walls made it echo alot , no microwaves , my sleeping mat in jail was more comfortable then this mattress, bathroom is pretty nice ! Big walk in shower, dove shampoo and soap was nice ! Hot tub was sealed up so if your looking to soak and relax the Hilton is across the street also thats actually where the casino is , doors all around the building dont lock until 10pm till 7am between there free range in and out no need to tap your card just go in ... it was nice looking and clean from where i walked threw and around the building !

I was worried about staying here after our stay at the Ramada in Thunder Bay, but it was phenomenal for our family of 5. The two bathrooms and the loft were lifesavers. They were renovating so there are a few little things missing like a chair for the desk upstairs. The sauna in the women’s washroom was broken and I assume the hot tub was too since it was covered. The pool is so so, but we went to the water park so it was ok. Also, service could be faster. We ran out of toilet paper and had to ask twice and it took several hours. But I would 100% stay here again. The elevators are a bit small so might be hard to navigate in a wheel chair.

The hotel was close to where I wanted to be. The pool was a little green and the hot tub was not working at all. This is something I look for when we travel. We only stayed 1 night and change hotels the next day.

I had booked this place several months ago for my stay during a convention. When I arrived, they informed me that the suite I had booked was not available because of renovations. There was no mention of this when I booked or at any point leading up to my stay. I was given a standard room at a standard rate, no discount offered. The room was significantly smaller than what I booked. They also failed to mention that the pool was closed for an entire week. Regarding the construction, intense banging every morning and even one evening at around midnight. Very disappointing stay. Had I know about all these things I would have booked elsewhere as I needed to be well rested for the convention I was attending.

When we tried putting something into the safe in our room, an alarm started going off. Then after a minute of that, someone that worked there just came in to the room without knocking. My sister and I were disappointed that they did not knock first and ask if we needed help, before just coming in. When we arrived there were only 2 towels in the room even though we booked in advance with 3 people on the booking. It took a long while to get the 3rd towel. I had to go to the front desk. The restaurant breakfast was great. Very happy with the morning service at the restaurant. The menu in the evening should have more options for kids and canadian food items. I had a picky eater with me and since he did not eat italian or indian, we had to do uber delivery. A picture of the chicken burger or salad would be helpful. The pool was out of service and I was looking forward to swimming. I have a sprained ankle so I specifically looked for a hotel with a pool. I would stay again, but feel like I would need to call in advance to see if the pool and restaurant lunch/dinners are functioning better. Lots of unfinished work in the hallways of the hotel. Not a big deal though. The price was reasonable so I trust that it took this into consideration. Consider hosting Trivia Nights in the Restaurant, as the floor plan is perfect for it in the bar area. Lots of potential to shine.

Overall, the experience was not good. I booked this place mainly for my kids because they enjoy swimming, but the pool water was cold. When I asked the staff, they said there was no hot water service available. My kids were really disappointed, and it ended up ruining our trip

The room we stayed in was relatively clean but had no mirror, other than the bathroom. The stairway was dirty and in serious disrepair. Will not stay in this hotel again.

Vraiment très sale et poussièreux. Des cheveux sur les oreillées, des ongles d'orteilles parterre dans la salle de bain, de poiles dans la douche, plancher sale, avec des restes de nouritures, des sofa et des murs tachés avec des crouttes et des coulisses d'aliments et ou liquide corporels. Mon fils qui est hasmatique a commencé a toussé a cause de la quantité de poussière dans les corridors et dans la chambre. Rien n'allait dans cette hotel. Nous avons quitté et le commis a la réception nous a dit que nous n'avions juste a demander un remboursement aupres de hotels.com et quil allait nous rembourser

The building is older, but it is well kept. Our room was in great condition. Very clean. Bathroom was new and spotless. Very responsive staff. There were towels only for two people, but we just asked for more - no problem. I will definitely go back.

I stayed here for 3 nights and not once did they clean my room. They didn’t take out the garbage or freshen the towels once. I had 3 people in my room and was only provided 2 towels I had to go to the front desk to ask for towels and they gave me pool towels.

Room floors were not well cleaned. Crumbs and gum was stuck on the floor at 2 different spots. Everything else was decently clean.

Comfy beds but thin walls

Easy to find, lots of parking, room was clean. The bed was really uncomfortable and the mattress had a big dip in the middle so they probably need to upgrade them.

The property is good price and location. The recent renovations are good such as no carpet, updated bathrooms. Beds are comfortable. The property is still old and I would Suggest staying on the top floor as you hear ever footstep overhead. Staff are not overly friendly or knowledgeable e.g room cleaners could not tell me if there was an ice machine

Kind staff but the hotel is not as described on Expedia. Air conditioning is directed to the bed, mattress is not comfortable.

Overpriced and outdated. I paid the price of a 4-star hotel and ended up in what’s basically a dressed-up 2-star motel. Yes, the lobby looks nice — but it’s all smoke and mirrors. The building is clearly from the 1980s, and the so-called “renovations” seem to consist of new shower tiles and a cheap flat-screen TV. It’s sandwiched between two supermarkets, and the walls are so thin you’ll hear everything — footsteps, conversations, even someone sneezing two rooms over. Definitely not worth the price. Feels more like a low-budget stopover than a comfortable hotel stay.

Bistro not open day we checked in. No English on menu. Lamp in bedroom had to be manually plugged in and out of wall outlet to work. Desk light not working at all.

The hotel itself is undergoing a major renovation. It will be beautiful when it is done. The elevator is tiny and only fits two people at a time with luggage. The rooms on our floor didn’t have the number up on the wall but plaques on the floor waiting to be installed. Our room was very nice but unfinished. Our screen was out of our window and the screw were stripped so we couldn’t close it. Luckily it wasn’t too cold out. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. I think you just need to be prepared that this is an unfinished hotel right now.

Terrible experience. Kids were running and playing hockey in the hallway until 4:30 in the morning — impossible to sleep with all the noise. I went to the front desk and was told that the manager, Johnathan, could help me get some money back for the awful night. That turned out to be a lie. Never got a follow-up or any compensation. Completely unprofessional and not worth the stay.

The staff were great, room was clean and spacious. Good rate, I think because renos are ongoing, but I have stayed in premises being renovated before and have to say the impact on the cleanliness of halls etc was nil and even where workers were working in stairwell - very low impact. Nice bar downstairs. Looks like it is well set up for conventions or workshops

We where welcome with nice ladies at reception. I made a request for extra towels and they delivered fast at our suite. The manager was polite and nice, breakfast is realy good and hot. Ladies at resto are smiling and do a great service. Thank You.

I stayed at Ramada and was very disappointed with the housekeeping service. Even after specifically requesting a room clean-up, nothing was done — no garbage emptied, no fresh towels, no basic cleaning. I had to follow up three separate times before anyone finally came, and it took hours. Housekeeping is slow, unresponsive, and far below the standard I’d expect from a Ramada. Definitely not worth the hassle.

I understand the place is under construction but lack of communication that the staff should have communicated would have helped with a lot of the issues. They told us nothing. Barely talked. They gave us a key to a room that ended up being preoccupied. So when we got our luggage brought it up the room was already occupied. we opened the door and awkwardly had someone else in our room. Went all the way back down to reception to get a room that wasn’t occupied and told her and her response was “omg really” and then talked to her other staff member in French. Then we stood there and she was like okay so here’s another room told us the room and then turned and did something else. No apologies nothing. We wanted to eat at the restaurant as we had a long day we called front desk the phone wasn’t working. Went down and asked where it was and the time and she said it’s closed we didn’t have any resos. No one told us there had to be. Anyway to say the obvious we will never go to that place even after the Reno’s.

On m’a fait attendre 1:45 dans le lobby ne voulant pas honorer ma réservation on m’a proposer de canceller ma réservation sur expédia pour ensuite payer 225$ de plus que le prix que j’avais réservé. J’ai eu droit à des commentaire comme « c’est chiant ce qui t’arrive hein? Alors est ce que tu va prendre la chambre avec nous du coup » du commis à la porte c’était ma foi la pire expérience client que j’ai eu dans un hotel/motel/auberge ma seul et dernière visite au Ramada

The room is great, but the stairways in from the back parking lot are in terrible shape and the parking lot is very poorly lit, so much so that one feels unsafe walking across from a parked vehicle.

My last experience here back in November was not good. It’s under renovation at the moment and we got a room that is much more updated and comfy. We received a free breakfast for the inconvenience of it being under renovations and the breakfast was great.

Breakfast buffet did not look fresh nor healthy options for $12

No literature in the room to say what the hotel had to offer?? Restaurant is all Indian food and menu in French. It definitely is not a "Bistro", as advertised on the website. Don't know if there is breakfast available - will leave hotel and get breakfast elsewhere.

This hotel is nice, undergoing Reno’s. I get the feeling most staff are fairly new at their jobs. Restaurant is Indian cuisine but the breakfast was a Cdn style buffet with serving staff. Nothing much around hotel other than the casino which is not at the Ramada. Limited food options around.

Ma famille a adoré son séjour dans cet hôtel. Pour être honnete, le service dépassait largement les attentes; personnel très accueillant, chambre très propre et spacieuse, une commodité exceptionnelle et prix très compétitif pour un service aussi impeccable. Ils ont aussi un service resto pour le petit déjeuner sur place que ça en valait le détour avec un menu hyper riche et varié offert à un prix très abordable. C'est déjà un endroit incontournable pour des futures visites dans la ville.
