Emporio Mazatlan

Hotel is under renovation so be prepared for lots of noise. Our room was nice, renovated, everything worked well, beds are comfortable and easy access to the pool. The hotel itself is really nice, but the renovation is definitely needed in some areas. Pool tiles are missing all throughout the pool. Carlos our waiter by the pool was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast buffet is delicious and waiters are pretty nice and helpful. Hotel is right in the malecón so reviews about hearing music until the crack of dawn are totally true. We brought a sound machine for our children, but it helped us all sleep better each night. Overall, clean property, great location walkable to bars, clubs, restaurants, rooms and nice, clean comfortable, but definitely on the smaller side. Nice beach, good food. We’d come back.

En general las instalaciones son buenas y están limpias pero no te dicen que la alberca está vacía sin servicio y es el motivo por el que elegí ese hotel es una lástima que no te digan ese tipo de detalles siendo que es lo primero que te presentan en su oublicidad

Lo que no me gustó muy mal estado jacusi y área de piscina te rentan los camastros tipo camas

Elevator issues for 2 days.

El Desayuno no es muy extenso pero está bien, le hace falta mantenimiento, la piscina le faltan azulejos y se ve mal aparte a las 9am tenía suciedad, en el baño algunas orillas se ven sucias

Kiddie pool needs work, unsafe. Missing ceramic tiles, green slide paint is peeling and slide is cracked. Blue slide does not have enough water running through the slide. All rooms need work, renovated or not! Went in a group, total of 10 rooms reserved and each had issues. No light in bathroom, AC not functioning, AC leaking water, shower water not draining and flooding bathroom floor, no pillow cases, to name a few. Food and alcohol consumption on-site is expensive! Front desk does not accept cash for room reservations, and they advertise false exchange rates. Don't be fooled, it's the going rate with your financial institution. On a positive note, housekeeping services good, Erick poolside was great, was able to rest, noise level is well managed in rooms.

Good stay, needs a little remodel on the pools. Besides that, great option.

Mi esposo y yo tuvimos unas vacaciones muy tranquilas gracias a las instalaciones y al personal tan amable. Mi unica sugerencia es poner camastros y sombrillas en la playa, no hay :(

The rooms were clean, a bit over price in the bar area even compared to their competitors down the street with newer facilities (varali) I did not try their breakfast Pool second night was really dirty like it handed been touched all day personally I wouldn’t stay again

Had roaches in our room… no hot water in shower. Brought it up to the staff, nothing was resolved.

This hotel has to be one of the most disgusting I have ever stayed in. From the smell to how dirty the room was. We booked for 3 nights but only stayed 1. The smell was horrendous, the bathroom was disgusting. The manager and Expedia did nothing to refund us.

La limpieza de los pasillos fue pobre, hubo una cucaracha muerta en el pasillo que estuvo dos dias en la misma posicion y despues alguien la movio pero no la quitaron, fue movida y ahi se quedo otros dos dias. (que fue la rampa hacia los pisos superiores). No se a quien le corresponda limpiar los pasillos y escaleras del hotel, pero ese fue uno de sus puntos debiles. Lo del mantenimiento al estado fisico de las instalaciones se entiende por ser hotel de playa, pero la limpieza si deberia ser una prioridad a cuidar.

The staff is fantastic! Very accommodating and friendly! The views from pools and beach is spectacular! There is an office for good Internet if you need to work. The wifi in the hotel room doesn’t work. The water in the shower had very low pressure and constantly changed from too hot to too cold. Room internet and poor shower would not detour me from returning though because our vacation was amazing.

The room was spacious and the views from the terrace were gorgeous. However the front door was hard to close and the door jam was broken like someone had previously kicked the door in. The shower door wouldn't close all the way. The cabinets are old and broken, there was no refiirgerator or microwave.

This is a very nice hotel we really enjoy staying here every time we travel to Mazatlán, it’s located only steps away from the Malecón from here you can go anywhere also the hotel rooms just got remodeled they are very nice and comfortable I really recommend this place

My wife and I stayed for a couple days second week of May 2025. We originally had reservations at a different resort after doing a lot of research prior to coming here. We decided to switch to El Emporio after some friends decided on joining us and recommended the area “zona dorada”. While we did make the best of it, our stay was not to expectations compared to other resorts in Mexico we have stayed at. The food was good. First day we ordered a la carte and what we ordered as good. Subsequent days we had the buffet. The first buffet the girl made some delicious omelets. The second day it was another girl who had no clue how to make an omelet, it ended being more like a scramble. Not a big deal, was still good. Overall, good food choices with all kinds of flavors. For some reason, I really enjoyed the oatmeal the best. Now the issues, we reserved an “ocean side” view. And yes, we had a view of the ocean from our windows, but, our room was at the front of the hotel which was the furthest from the ocean and closest to the street. As a result, we heard the traffic and outside noise all night. The water went out on us while showering on the second day. Was able to barely finish with a trickle to get the shampoo off until it went out completely. We let the front desk know and the receptionist stated it was odd and to let the maintenance staff know. Very clean place, very friendly staff and good value for the money. The only issue is that it is very noisy on the beach and with a bars in adjacent properties, but that is a problem in most of the Golden Zone of Mazatlan. Lots of Banga Bands on the beach pumping their music through speakers and open air bars playing music until 2 am.

Great front desk staff. Nice pools and clean and well lit stairways. Very happy with our stay at Emporio.

Todo bien, excepto que un día antes nos estuvieron amenazando con que iban a cancelar la reserva si no hacíamos un depósito, siendo que elegimos la opción de pagar al llegar. El supervisor nos atendió y aseguró que no había problema. Afortunadamente no lo hubo al llegar, pero es una gran preocupación que generan.

Our roof came down in middle of the night, after we notified the hotel they didn't have any available room at that time. The next morning they were going to move us to a downgraded room but if we haven't have asked for a room just like the one we booked, they wouldn't have given it to us, the manager then came to talk to us and told us that the rooms we were in were just renovated in which they didn't look like it at all, the manager then said they were going to find a solution for us in which they didn't until we took initiative and complained with expedia instead. We weren't satisfied with the solution they gave us.

We had a wonderful time at the Emporio. The staff were great, helpful, and friendly. The property is comfortable, clean, and the restaurant (brunch especially) is great.

Al llegar me dieron la habitación 202, la cual no me gustó ya que no pagué cualquier cosa. La mica de la mesa se estaba botando pisos relamidos pedí cambio de habitación. Me dieron la 302 detrás del tocador donde está la televisión se me ocurrió checar y había un montón de basura. Si gustan les puedo mandar la fotografía la basura no era ni de uno ni de dos días era de muchos días. Me daba cosa que me salieron una cucaracha de ahí la ama de llaves debe de checar habitaciones. Las cortinas no deben de estar pintadas, no deben de estar rotas. Los baños no tienen extractor para mi modo de ver y que estado en otros hoteles. Piden mucho para lo que ofrecen, por lo que pagué ya que fueron nueve noches por 39,000 y cacho de pesos la señoritas que se encuentran en la recepción del comedor son déspotas, no me aprendí el nombre de la señorita que está vestida de azul obscuro es la más déspota de todos, si no me está haciendo un favor, estoy pagando por la atención Vaya que sí, dejé la propina del 10% de cada vez que ocupe el desayuno, pero la verdad es que los meseros tardan mucho en levantar los platos que desocupas das el 10% y casi ni se mueven. No te dan ganas de dejarles propina, pero en fin somos un país que creo que es el que más deja propina.

Está en medio de antros y bares por lo que puede ser muy bueno o muy malo por el Ruido que hay en las noches

Well the hotel overall was clean, not too big so it wasn't crowded, location was good and although the staff was lacking English, they were very friendly. The food and drink was incredibly expensive for Mazatlan, drinks by the pool where five to seven Canadian dollars in comparison to down the beach where they were half to a third. The price and often two for one during happy hour. Likely wouldn't stay there again unless there were no other reasonable choices.

We LOVED our stay here.. buffet was AMAAAZING!!! And restaurant overlooks ocean beautifully!! Location near many restaurants and mucho tiendas for shopping… local green bus is about $1 to and 10-15 min ride go to old Mazatlan.. or can walk along beach or wide beachfront walkway… best hot water and shower pressure out of 8 hotels on our trip… hot tub actually had reasonably hot water in it… though it’s a popular spot! Beach out front not bizzy and perfect for tanning.. view and sunsets spectacular!!

La habitación limpia y moderna, respetaron lo q apartamo, cosa q en otros hoteles me ha tocado q cuando aparto con expedia nos dan el cuarto q les da la gana, aqui respetan la reservación tal cual, nos gusto q hay distintos estilos de alberca, el desayuno buffet super rico todo, nos encanto gracias

Muy malo el servicio de restaurante, el bufet tiene pocas opciones, la comida es regular y son lentos para resurtir un platillo. No vale lo que cuesta.

Las albercas son pequeñas para la capacidad del hotel. No tienen freezer o frigobar en el cuarto. El bufet está caro por el tipo de alimentos que ofrece. La comida que sirven en la alberca es muy mala.
