Room was clean. There was plenty of parking on the property. The breakfast buffet was good. Had a great experience the first time thats why I booked this hotel for my second trip we even extended our stay to enjoy a baseball game Hotel is not too far from El Nido de Los Aguilas stadium. This hotel has a 4 story building with NO ELEVATOR. Guess where our room was...YES 4TH floor. It was 120 degrees outside and we had to haul our luggageup to our rooms in multiple trips. THE BEDS WERE HORRIBLE!!! I woke up with severe back pain that did allow me to walk straight throughout the whole day. The only positives were the breakfast. The pool was packed with people from outside the hotel. YES people from the neighborhood coming to fresh themselves in the Hotels pool. just random strangers. Tiolet had a leak on the floor.

Things I did not like was noise level and our room had broken the inner door frame broken which as women it felt somewhat uncomfortable and the pillows where to hard. But we can’t rate it too low because overall we did get rest.

Staff was very unfriendly didn’t feel welcome at all to this dirty hotel, staff at front desk act like we the customers ask them for a favor. Other disappointments are dirty carpet, rooms smell like urine, very noise at night from staff yelling at eachother, when asked front desk staff to chage rooms because my father couldn’t go up stair due to age i felt i was ignore and told there were room, next day went to ask to change for a different room i was ask to come back at a later time. Front desk stuff don’t know how to program a room key. There was a maintenance guy that did stand out, he was very helpful when my key didn’t open the room door, he went to the office like 4 times to reprogram the key good job to him he really deserves a raise!!! Front desk people need to be more humble and helpful to the public remember we are not asking nothing for free we are paying customers!

I asked for towels about 6 times at the front desk because we had more than 2 people in each room... I received 2 towels delivered to one of our rooms one time. After waiting over 24 hours, I finally went and found a worker who could help. This shouldn't be hard. If a room is reserved for 4 people, put 4 towels in the room BEFORE they arrive.

Made a reservation thru expedia. Never have had a problem at any site. Calafia, Raul at the front desk said they had received my reservation late and couldnt accomodate my request. My room was not available because they had a big party come in. Now expedia says i cant get a refund because hotel personnel is not responding. $317, im not letting this go... very poor service on both ends.

I didn't get my room until 5:30 pm, when check in was supposed to be 3:00pm. The keys never worked I had to get them reprogrammed every single time. Either the staff wasn't properly trained or just didn't care because it seemed that nobody knew anything when asked simple questions like getting clean towels or parking permits. Just a bad experience over all

Although it is on a major street, the property's design blocks out the street noise. There is food on site and walking distance as well. OXXO is close walking, but watch out for the uneven sidewalks. We would definitely stay there again. Attentive staff. We joined the Araiza club.

Everything was good EXCEPT the lunch buffet. The waitresses didn't offer us water we had to get up and ask for it because it was accessible. The teriyaki grill was off and no body was there so asked someone if they could do it which they did but for someone who has never been there someone should've explained and approached us about what they offer. The food in the buffet was alright, no wonder why was empty. Maybe the breakfast is better I don't know.

Breakfast was not included had to pay more than what I would for food that was not great or appealing. The people were rude and didn’t seem like they wanted to help with the faces they had plastered. Rooms didn’t not have a bolt lock or anytime of good lock reinforcement.

The breakfast buffet is one of the better ones I have enjoyed for years. Small but everything you need and a chef to make your omelette and/or quesadillas. The waiters and restaurant staff are wonderful. As for the hotel it is lacking. This time the room had an odor, the keys were deactivated after the first night and we had issues with opening our room several times. One desk clerk was rude and full of herself and the rest were very friendly. Unfortunately that may be my last stay at the Calafia. I will be back to visit the restaurant.
