Food options were great from morning til night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel room was cleaned daily. Emporio was an overall great hotel. The only thing that would’ve helped was to be informed that two pools would be closed and that construction would be going on from 7am to 10pm daily.

It was a nice resort with plenty of pools and a nice beach. The only drawback was evening entertainment was not that great, otherwise an excellent vacation at Emprio.

Extremely poor customer service, staff are unfriendly and do not care whatsoever about the experience they provide. Checkin and checkout was very poor with little information. Hot tub was very dirty full of dead bugs. Rooms old and not maintained well. Nowhere near enough chairs or umbrellas for guests. Many guests like myself had to sit on my ONE towel I got for the day for pool use. Seemed like a motel on the NJ shore where broke college kids go to. I would never recommend or go back there. Was cracky.

Pros: Nice ocean view. Can walk from the resort to the beach. There were three consistent food options, the Cua buffet which was open for breakfast. It was okay, it was reliable but repetitive/ including same breakfast options if an omelette bar and waffles. Fasano, which was an Uruguayan sit-down restaurant was what my family liked the most. The octopus cracklings and carpaccio were good choices. Our servers there were always so kind and attentive and we loved them. Bacoli was the other restaurant that required a reservation- Italian restaurant- standard food such as Calamari, fettuccine, and a seafood pasta that I liked.! Entrees were so-so but the Dessert was delicious. *Make the reservations for the restaurants as soon as you can b/c it fills up Sunset grille/Cua were the two buffet options. Standard but breakfast was very repetitive. I enjoyed the unlimited smoothies through all-inclusive! Def worth all-inclusive. Cons: Construction was going on throughout my stay. The adult infinity pool was closed and the jacuzzi was not heated past room temp. When I checked in, there was a mishap with the check-in lady saying I didn’t have all-inclusive. This was eventually sorted out but def double check the booking to make sure you clicked the all-inclusive button! Overall, I had a good time but I think it could be better with more food options and less issues with staff/resort. This is a good starter resort for your first time in Cancun.

Family of 4 (2A/2C) Pros: •Name brand alcohol included with the all inclusive I.e Hornito, Jose Cuervo, Jim bean. •Def go to the sunset grill for lunch probably •Hotel design. The hotel had different levels and lounge areas to hang out. Cons: •There was construction at the pool area and pool bar at the infinity pool. Personally it didn’t bother me and it was understandable being the off season. •Kids were not allowed at the infinity pool. I found this annoying because it had the best view and the kids enjoyed this pool the most. •There were 3 restaurants on the property. 2 that needed reservations that were had to get and the 3rd was a buffet style which was easily accessible. •No snack area(ice cream/cake/coffee) included in the all inclusive I had a good experience at Emporio Cancun. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located right on the beach. The rooms were comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly. Great atmosphere, and the beach area was gorgeous with plenty of space to unwind. Overall, Emporio Cancun provided an excellent mix of comfort, service, and scenery. That being said the all inclusive amenities, pools/area need improvement. It seems a more adult/couple resort than a family resort. I would stay here again.

Oppsummert hadde vi et fint opphold her, men det er noen ting vi ble skuffet over: - Hotellet var mer slitt enn vi så for oss, og deler av det har behov for oppgradering. Renholdet på hotellet og rommene kunne også vært bedre. - Gymmet var veldig lite, og hadde begrenset utstyr - Rommet hadde kun regnfall dusjhode - Begrenset til ingen glutenfrie alternativer på frokostbuffet. Food is so delicious and the personal is very nice. The thing that I didn’t like was the shower in my room had mold and the smell was strong. Everything was fabulous I definitely stay again with them.

We were a group of three, but the room we were given was only prepared for one person and was very dirty. The floor was unclean, there were stains on the tables and furniture, and a shocking amount of dust everywhere even on the alarm clock by the bed and the coffee-making equipment. We asked to change the room, and the new one was cleaner, though the floors still didn’t seem to be cleaned properly. On the positive side, the food was absolutely delicious, and the front desk staff were friendly and kind. However, we really hope the hotel starts paying more attention to cleanliness in the rooms. It’s something that has a huge impact on the overall experience and definitely needs improvement. To maintain its standards, the hotel should also consider renovating the common areas near the elevators and ensure more frequent cleaning in and around the elevators as well.

You’ll notice it’s and old hotel but the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Loved the bed and pillow, got all the amenities you need. AC and fridge was good. The only feedback was the dirty balcony and windows, so much for getting an ocean view room. Besides that the view was really nice, the ocean is gorgeous but a bit rough. Also our fan in the shower was really dirty, so when we turned it on there where dust everywhere… but we had great service through out!

We had roaches in the toilet area of our room. We have a picture of a roach on the dinner table as the FaSona restaurant. It took three days to get our room cleaned and the bedding changed when we got there. The elevator access to our floor was very limited and the hotel seemed in need of a lot of maintenance. We couldn't even get a pot of coffee delivered for room service. Room service was pretty much useless.

When you walk in it smells moldy in the lobby and when you walk into your room moldy again the AC in the room barley works and kept turning off and we wouldn’t notice until we would start sweating from how hot it was getting. There is cockroaches in the room they would come out especially at night which was nasty. Food isn’t even all that if you’re expecting Mexican food you ain’t getting “Mexican” food. They have thousands of rooms but only a few beach chairs and umbrellas to offer so we obviously didn’t get a spot to sit at the beach. Over all I give this hotel a 3/5.

It was very nice with two exceptions. The first room we were assigned the door did not lock. The attendant saw it and reported it. However when we went into the room there were cockroaches and this was disgusting. I complained and they moved us to another room. However I had requested feather free room due to my wife’s allergies. They did not have feather free and never communicated this with us. They finally gave here couch cushions and a pillow case. Not really to comfortable. Other than this everything was fine

This property was very nice we has a swim out King room. Not your ideal swim out as it is accessible by everybody else in the hotel. Food options were not the greatest for dinner we went off the resort for that but many amazing restaurants close by like Chambao. Room was nice and clean always. Staff were very friendly.

Room is too hot. AC limited to 22°C but the room never reached past 23.5°C. Woke up in the middle of the night with the room temp at 24.5°C even though the AC was on at 22°C. The room also smelled like mildew. At first the pillows were a little moist but after room service changed the sheets and pillow cases they were dry. But the room still smelled the same. If you have all inclusive you do have access to the dining halls, and the restaurants you need reservations for. Most of it is included unless you get something out of their all inclusive menu. Buffet dining halls has basically the same stuff every day with little variations. If you're enjoying the pool they do have an area set up to get food without having to go inside a building. The alcohol is completely watered down. Even when they pour doubles. Shots of tequila burned like tequila but it didn't really have an effect like it should. It's all inclusive so you can drink as much as you want. Coconuts that grow right there on the trees they charge $10 usd for 1 and isn't included in all inclusive. Booked 8 nights and after 5 nights we were ready to leave. The walk to the dining halls are treacherous through the blazing sun and up multiple sets of stairs with no shade. Bring your own sun screen and after sun aloe vera if you plan on enjoying the pool, beach, jacuzzi, etc because the sun is ferocious. But do enjoy your stay it's vacation after all.

Overall a good resort experience. The room is decent with several eating options nearby. There are convenient stores in walking distance and easy to drive around in the resort area. The beach there is pretty and convenient. There’s a safe and clean area to play in the sea even though the waves are strong most of the days. The pools are easy to use and you can participate their pool dance event every noon. They also have different events each night for public. We got free breakfast buffet and the food is good. Just try to get up early and avoid weekends to avoid the long line. The main Italian restaurant in the resort is ok but slow so I recommend to eat outside. We ate twice at a restaurant called Xkat-Ik. Highly recommended. It’s across the main road from the hotel and they have some nice pet iguanas.
Overall a good resort experience. The room is decent with several eating options nearby. There are convenient stores in walking distance and easy to drive around in the resort area. The beach there is pretty and convenient. There’s a safe and clean area to play in the sea even though the waves are strong most of the days. The pools are easy to use and you can participate their pool dance event every noon. They also have different events each night for public. We got free breakfast buffet and the food is good. Just try to get up early and avoid weekends to avoid the long line. The main Italian restaurant in the resort is ok but slow so I recommend to eat outside. We ate twice at a restaurant called Xkat-Ik. Highly recommended. It’s across the main road from the hotel and they have some nice pet iguanas.

It was a good stay. Our oceanfront room had one of the best views for sure. It was an amazing stay but would have loved it even more if the swimming pools were a little warmer and if it had some more activities alongside with some more food options. Overall a good stay.

You’ll notice it’s and old hotel but the room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Loved the bed and pillow, got all the amenities you need. AC and fridge was good. The only feedback was the dirty balcony and windows, so much for getting an ocean view room. Besides that the view was really nice, the ocean is gorgeous but a bit rough. Also our fan in the shower was really dirty, so when we turned it on there where dust everywhere… but we had great service through out!

I was positively surprised by my stay at Emporio Cancun. The resort exceeded my expectations, and when I had a complaint about my room, it was resolved quickly and efficiently. Do not stay at this hotel. This was an incredibly disappointing 5 night stay for my family of four. Firstly, they told me our rooms would be connected (then denied ever saying it later) but were actually on different floors. So instead of staying with my wife on our anniversary, we were a floor away and sleeping with a child each. They could not care less about the situation. They said they would send some amenities as an apology which never happened. The food was difficult to swallow. I also got severe food poisoning from their buffet. The doctor that came to my room preemptively told me it was definitely not from the hotel's food even though we had only eaten there for the last 3 days. The hospital was lovely, actually, and much nicer than the ones in Boston in terms of amenities. The food there was so so so much better than the hotel. Last night, a family held a 2-430 am beach party blasting music right outside my balcony. I called the front desk 8 times during that stretch. I was told security was going out to stop them on the first call. It wasn't until the 8th call that I learned security hadn't been sent and now they would do it. Really highlights how little they care. The hotel intermittently smells like sewage. The balcony door to our room didn't lock. The towels were stained. The pillows need replacing. Good and not so good things about this property: lets first list the good ones: nice beach, pool areas, we got an ocean front upgrade at good price. Food is ok, if you book fine dine, it will be a better experience. However if you are looking for an excellent service, polite staff this is not a place to go. Most of the people don't speak English, have to wait in restaurents line up, staff doesn't much care about the service. Sometimes at the entrance no one there to escort you for a table. Towel guys are rude at Aquaworld as they don't know what customer service and experience are. I visited with my family and probably will not go back to this property

Terrible service from staff, even when tipping. They would completely forget about our drink orders and never return. They were nice, but you have to work to get service. The check in process is crazy long. I really don’t understand why it’s such a process. Did not feel safe to venture off property, and even if I did there’s nothing to see anyways except a 7-11. Food…meh. Not great. Many things were not labeled so we had no idea what mystery meat was before us. For what it is, it’s ok. If you’re looking for a budget resort and only plan to sit poolside, it’ll do the job.

This property was very nice we has a swim out King room. Not your ideal swim out as it is accessible by everybody else in the hotel. Food options were not the greatest for dinner we went off the resort for that but many amazing restaurants close by like Chambao. Room was nice and clean always. Staff were very friendly.

Hello! We had a good time at this hotel. The room: very quiet a the 9th floor, bed very comfortable. At the beach, there were not enough parasols, they need to correct that since many chairs didn't have one. Also not enough chairs. The beach itself was amazing. The food at the beach was just ok. The breakfast restaurant was the best. The staff is so friendly and they are doing a great job.

It's a mega resort hotel so if that's your jam, you'll love it. It's gorgeous, the facilities are great but it is on hotel road so there's nothing around there except hotels and beach. Its lovely though.

We stayed for 5 nights and basically just used it as a home base that we explored from. The all-inclusive portion was not worth it in the end for us due to the VERY limited food options and super slow bar service (too few bartenders to keep up with the crowd). There’s a breakfast/dinner buffet that has pretty good food, but was only open until noon and then reopened at 6:30pm. One weird thing is that the lunch buffet hours didn’t overlap with the breakfast buffet, so there’s an hour from 12:00-1:00pm that we couldn’t get food unless it was room service but that’s an additional fee. There were 2 restaurants that you need reservations for that are open only in the evenings. The Italian restaurant had great food and service. The steakhouse was extremely slow and missed some of our orders, didn’t refill our drinks, etc. even though it was not busy at all. We even tried it twice with the same results. It was disappointing. Our room was pretty clean but was super hard to keep cool and often smelled like sewer. We ended up buying a box fan when we were out one day and it made a HUGE difference in our sleep. Oh and the beach. This is not their fault of course, but it was full of seaweed this time of year. I mean FULL. We went to Isla Mujeres 3/5 days and it was absolutely beautiful everywhere we went. Overall I would say it’s good enough if using it as a landing spot at night, but skip the all-inclusive option and eat great food somewhere else.

The staff was extremely helpful. My wife is disabled and they accommodated us in every possible way including lending us a wheelchair for our entire stay. Friendly staff; good food; the other visitors were also friendly. Emporio Cancun is a beautiful property and well cared for. My Spanish speaking ability is limited at best, but that was not a hindrance, since many staff members know a little bit of English and quite a few staff members were fluent in English. I want to give special mention to a front office employee named Shadayci (I hope I spelled it correctly). She was my primary contact at the front desk & helped me on a daily basis. Her exceptional efforts made this trip enjoyable & quite honestly, touched me. This was my first vacation in 10 years, & it was a good one. I hope my wife & I go back again!

It was okay, it was reliable but repetitive/ including same breakfast options if an omelette bar and waffles. Fasano, which was an Uruguayan sit-down restaurant was what my family liked the most. The octopus cracklings and carpaccio were good choices. Our servers there were always so kind and attentive and we loved them. Bacoli was the other restaurant that required a reservation- Italian restaurant- standard food such as Calamari, fettuccine, and a seafood pasta that I liked.! Entrees were so-so but the Dessert was delicious. *Make the reservations for the restaurants as soon as you can b/c it fills up Sunset grille/Cua were the two buffet options. MISLEADING! This hotel is far from all inclusive they charge for everything even if you select all inclusive package. They charge $20 per shot for and mixed drinks if you don’t order from their bottom shelf alcohol. If you want room service they charge $17 and they even made me pay for my Starbucks drink that’s onsite which should also be apart of all inclusive. There is no alcohol on the rooms and the staff at the Legacy bar is disgustingly rude and racist. They would not let us order food for spouses that were on the way because they said we might share with someone who didn’t get an all inclusive package, however the Latino and white customers were allowed to. This is a place I regret supporting and I will never return. I am telling anyone and everyone I know to STAY CLEAR because this place is a SCAM!!!!!!

Likes the property a little like a maze but beautiful views, beach, pool, bars, and restaurants. The food was really good. We ate at the buffet decent options. dislikes all inclusive still have to sign receipts for stuff that’s included. Waste of paper. If you come in early which most people do all inclusive doesn’t start until 3. Only water provided in room no other drinks. Not a lot of staff just guest services speak English. Not a requirement we are in Mexico just an observation. Activities were a little weak.

First time in Mexico... my fault but even family resorts have discos and performers, dancers, magicians etc. on a daily/hourly basis. Not many activities or advertising and enticing fun. Alcohol only 11am to 11pm. Bars should have more bartenders. Not many beach chairs, or umbrellas. They have seadoos for $100 USD for 30 mins. No available beach balls or fun beach toys, or sports/games. Property is old, but clean. Employees are great. Pools are clean. Lots of day beds. Buffet is decent. The 2 restaurants were good, and easy to reserve day before. But if young or fun, I wouldn't recommend this place. I won't go back until I'm an old man, unless they get a fun atmosphere before that! Lol

They only agreed to move us to an acceptable room after I posted a negative review online. While management apologized and promised a full refund for the extra charges within two weeks, three weeks have passed with no money returned. My calls are constantly transferred to an unanswered line. Extremely disappointed.

I would not recommend this hotel. The pools were dirty, the staff was not very friendly, and the overall service was terrible. You need to have cash or a credit card for absolutely everything—they seem to be stuck in the Stone Age. On top of that, we lost power three times during our stay, and the last outage lasted for more than six hours. This was a very disappointing experience, and I would definitely not stay here again.
