The resort was modern with plenty of amenities and things to do. We liked the ability to have reservations and activities on the app, that really helped! There was a great variety in the food and it was all very good quality. We visited in November and with the cooler weather, it would have been nice if the pools were heated or hot tubs were available in the pool area. Also their rooms only have air conditioning and ours was broken and stuck on which made the cool November nights even cooler. Those were the only two opportunities I saw for improvements.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience to help future guests make informed decisions. We paid for both the VIP Access and Romance Package, expecting a premium, near-all-inclusive experience — but were shocked by the number of upcharges at every turn. Despite paying for the most expensive tier, we were still charged $165 for a Tomahawk steak, which felt excessive and misleading. Many wines and liquors were also not included, even though the packages advertised “premium” or “exclusive” options. When I approached the concierge to politely inquire about the charges, I was met with a dismissive and unprofessional response: “It’s a business.” Not only was this answer unhelpful, but the tone was incredibly rude and condescending — completely inappropriate for a service-focused resort. To make matters worse, the beaches were completely unusable due to piles of rotting seaweed. The odor was overwhelming — similar to a porta-potty, making it impossible to relax or enjoy the beachside areas. At no point during the booking process were we made aware of the beach conditions, and there appeared to be little effort to manage the situation. If you're considering upgrading to VIP or adding specialty packages, be aware that many items you'd assume are included, are not. You’ll likely face unexpected charges, and — based on my experience — poor customer service if you question them. And not to mention, my bathroom was covered in mold.

Haven Riviera was magnificent! My room was spotless. The maids cleaned the room in the morning and did a night turn down that included chocolates and a flower. The butler was fantastic and on point with reservations to ensure every night I ate at one of the fine restaurants on site. He even reserved an appointment for my hydrotherapy. All the staff are extremely nice and willing to assist. This was a great experience for me.

Loved our stay again. However, there was constant construction noise next to our room early in the morning and late into the night the entire week we were there. Will call ahead next time and inquire. Otherwise, wonderful and the staff is awesome!!

Room was cleaned everyday. Staff was friendly. There was minor issues with the room like the sliding door in our bathroom was chipped at the bottom and the tile on the baseboards were not aligned. Also our TV was going out and had a line going through it. Overall our stay was good, but not excellent. I would come back.

The entire experience was great, the room had a great view, the staff was helpful and attentive and friendly. Everyone spoke English and the pools were beautiful. The one thing that could have been better, but I believe it had a lot to do with the time of year was there was some vegitation in the ocean, but the staff did a good job of keeping it off the beach.

Ricardo, our drinks waiter was outstanding. He was so friendly and always there when we needed him. The grounds were beautiful, out swim out suite was amazing. They kept the beach cleared of seaweed and the water was so warm. All of the staff were incredible. Room was always kept clean and we had turn down each night from Christina.

Got sick in an Eve stir and had to get myself out. Staff didn’t care much at all. Had some one throw up in my swim out from a room above, staff refused to move me to a new room until I had to teach down a supervisor who seemed purposely unavailable and force them to do something about my situation. Staff also walked in on my friend showering no less that three time with out knocking in our 7 day stay. She was offered a free massage after her male partner spent hours arguing with the supervisor. Food is great and the service staff is very attentive and friendly. The front desk and administration leaves a lot to be desired. They don’t seem interested in the hospitality aspect of the hospitality industry as soon as an issue arises. As long as there are no issues everything is great as Haven, but if an issue does arise there is very little anyone is willing to do at the administrative level besides offer a half hearted apology.

The Haven is an amazing place. It was our 3rd visit and we have already booked for February 2026. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. Nacho our butler was amazing and very attentive. The food was amazing and the pools are great. Pedro was amazing at the Serenity Pool - best bar tender ever.

Stayed in the Serenity Club for 5 days, 4 nights and my husband and another couple. Highly recommend upgrading the stay! We had an amazing butler, Humberto, the Vistas club food was top tier and the check out & extra lobby was nice! Staff is extremely friendly and always accommodating. We really enjoyed the stay (in spite of weather). Staff could not have been any kinder and genuine. An excellent company which is reflected in the actions of the employees. Highly recommend the Serenity club. Gorgeous view from our bed of oceanfront. Pedro(bartender at Vistas swim up) was a blast. Alma was funny and attentive when we were too lazy to leave our chairs. Gabo (our butler) as well as Emily (who will be CEO some day) made us feel even more special from the 1st moment we met until we departed. Arturo gives special hugs and warm feelings at breakfast buffet. Such a sweet soul. We will return!

The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the resort. The food was very good for an all inclusive. The property was well maintained and clean. The pools were nice. Really the only not good part was that the seaweed was so pervasive and smelled very strong - we could not even use the beach and it created a smell throughout the resort. We were told it is seasonal, so maybe mid Sept, while we were there, it is at its worst.

We loved our romance junior swim up room! It was nice to be able to swim whenever we wanted, and jump right into our shower. Best part was that the drink service walked by several times during the day to make sure we were taken care of. We also enjoyed dinning in the restaurants, our favorite was Agua Bendita. Everything we ordered tasted so good! Theree were no real activities at Haven, so if thats what you are looking to enjoy in an AI resort, then maybe its not for you. For us, it was perfect. All we wanted to do was chill and relax. Mission accomplished!

Very nice all around the only downfall when we were there was the beach was not cleaned from the Sargasm, which we know is not something that can be fully controlled. However, we were five days in when a tractor finally went out to clean so at times the smell was very bad aside from that. We had a great experience great time, the concierge‘s were super great at getting us a taxi for when we would do our off resort excursions and sightseeing. 100% would recommend and would definitely go back.

Pros: great location in terms of proximity to the airport. Food was 8/10. Mediterranean restaurant was our favorite. Staff were all very pleasant and accommodating. They went above and beyond to try to make everyone experience top notch. Cons-we went during seaweed season which essentially made the beach unusable and the smell not ideal around the resort. The entertainment staff in the evenings were pushing to get everyone the rate them 5 stars. The shows were mediocre, but they all did their best trying to make everyone's experience great.

Great place to go for adults! Relaxing, great food and like 15 minutes from the airport. We come here to just relax, go to the pool and eat. 2nd time coming. We also enjoy the coffee shop! Only thing is the seaweed issue. We couldn't go in the ocean at all this time because of it and it smelled.2 years ago we were able to. We saw a turtle on the beach atv night one night !

Amazing stay at Haven Riviera Cancun! Our swim-out room was absolutely perfect — spacious, modern, and so relaxing with direct pool access. The food was delicious everywhere, from the buffet to the restaurants, with tons of variety and great presentation. Only downside: lobster costs $60 USD extra, even in the buffet. The pools are gorgeous, clean, and perfect for lounging all day! The ocean, unfortunately, was muddy and not swimmable, but the amazing staff more than made up for it. Huge shout-out to Maria Jacobo at the Lobby Bar for her wonderful service, Janet and Cindy from the Entertainment Team for keeping the fun going, and the incredible Coffee Shop crew — Monserrat, Claudia, Andres, Cutberta, and Fatima — for the best coffee and smiles every morning (well, mostly evenings)! We also enjoyed the grass tennis and pickleball courts, though they could use a little upgrade. Overall, this resort is stunning, peaceful, and full of incredible people who make you feel at home. Can’t wait to come back!🏝️☀️

The service was EXCEPTIONAL and truly the highlight of Haven. Every single staff member here deserves a raise. However, we were particulary disappointed with the food quality (though I guess that's to be expected at an all inclusive). Our stay at Haven Riviera was incredible. We had an amazing experience and so glad we chose this resort for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Serenity Club swim out suit. It was perfect and worth the upgrade. The resort was beautiful- well maintained. The staff went above & beyond to make our time there memorable. Our butler Carlos was phenomenal. He was kind, helpful, always checking in making sure we had everything we needed & helping us with reservations! We were well taken care of by the bar staff- especially Blanca & Julien! They got to know us and always made sure our glasses were never empty. The Spa experience was also wonderful and is worth treating yourself to a massage! The one thing we loved the most about our stay was the restaurant Olios. WOW. The best food, service & incredible experience everytime going. On our last night, we bought the Chef Table dinner. Best decision and well worth the money! It was like having a Michelin Star meal. This is the best resort in Cancun & I highly recommend staying here!

Property and service were GREAT! The butler Candido was amazing and made our stay worth it, BUT.. food was horrible, it wasn't near authentic, quality was very low, cooks looked clueless. We did the omakase and the preparation was so unprofessional leaving food on hand rolls for minutes before serving making the seaweed chewy. The salmon was horrible quality. The mexican food was a very american version of it, morning buffet felt like we were eating at dennys. Drinks were no better. We honestly wanted to leave just because of the food. We decided to just stay in the room the last day and ordered some basic french fries and a tiramisu.. even the french fries were horrible ! They took 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive and you can tell they were just reheated. Tiramisu was just like anything you buy from a convenience store. We were glad to leave, maybe for other people food is not an issue but for us it was so sadly we will not be coming back. Invest in good cooks and ingredients, its not a cheap resort and we definitely did not get our moneys worth.

The room was always spotless, which we appreciated, but the mosquito problem was quite bothersome. The staff, with the exception of Sandra at the buffet, often seemed disengaged and unfriendly. The waiters at the Mexican restaurant and Olivia were particularly dismissive, which made us feel unwelcome. The second pool was quiet and relaxing, though only two pools are available for non-Serenity guests. A staff member cleaned sunglasses at the main pool, a lovely touch we wished extended to the quieter pool. The café’s offerings, especially the ice cream, were consistently enjoyable. Overall, while some amenities were nice, improvements in staff friendliness, food quality, and maintenance would enhance the stay.
