The room was large and pool off the patio was not so good (cold water not heated and they drained it every day when we were there before we woke up and it took them half the day to refill it, so ideal) cool to look at best! Spa was amazing! Staff were fantastic! Do not take the shuttle from airport to the hotel upon arrival between getting your luggage and getting to the hotel it took several hours, I suggest getting the hotel to book you a private cab which is what we did to back to the airport! The food at hotel was grea although make sure you book dinner reservations for the entire stay in advance because you can not simply walk and get a table they make wait for hours if you do that! We found the best kept secret was the rooftop pool great service good views lots drinks and fast service plus it’s the only place at the resort where you can order food poolside. Avoid the shuttles to and from all parks if possible long waits and frankly the cabs from the hotel are inexpensive, clean, friendly, and fast! Make sure that you bring a good pair of sneakers because you be doing a ton of walking while at the resort! The beach area was a big disappointment because there wasn’t one! All the pools were cool so if you are looking for warm water and beach not the place to go. The adventure park Zipline was incredible but tons overheated walking and climbing up lots of stairs, ladders, and steep inclines so avoid that place on a hot day! The animal park not worth it! 6 out of 10 overall!

The property was beautiful! The only downside was that the pools close at 7pm every day. Wish it was open until at least 10pm. We also traveled with another party and their room had a weird smell. Like something died. The property didn’t give them another room and the smell never went away.

Fourth visit. Stayed in adult River suite adulto. Ended up staying in three rooms. First room had no view of the river. Second room had a broken toilet and the pull out couch broke. Third room had a broken toilet and broken bathroom door lock upon arrival. Front door would not automatically shut like it was supposed to. Sinks in bathrooms by the pool; one was broken and one had very hot water. Issues were promptly addressed. About a 1.5 to 2 hour wait at the airport for a bus. Second time they had errors on my bill at the end (a service they said they would comp was there… it was promptly corrected…. The last stay I prepaid for xaak and they put it on my bill…. A double charge had I not caught it…it was promptly corrected but check your bill… It’s very hard to get reservations at the restaurants now unless you book in advance. We were able to walk into Cuevas but some of the reception staff there were not friendly about wait listing people. We were almost unable to get a sport for the catamaran even though spots were open on Viator. We got one last minute. Btw don’t do the catamaran. You get a short snorkel session, and a mediocre sandwich for a 10 hour day. There’s nowhere to sit on the beach unless you pay. It’s very inconsistent with their all inclusive model. Now xplor and xplor fuego are still great. The new water slide is amazing. Xenses had a bit of a wait for the sensorium and some of the xelfies were broken but it was still great. Xcaret is still great.

This hotel is on the high end of cost versus other all-inclusive mainly due to the access to the Xcaret family of parks. That is one of the biggest advantages of this hotel. Otherwise it is a high end resort similar to other options in the market. The beach is nothing to speak of but the inland river with rock walla and more secluded sandy inlets makes up for no real beach. Restaurants range from excellent to average with a few standouts. Lots of walking on this resort but you quickly learn the short cuts to the key areas. Limited food options around the pools but drink service is outstanding.

Clean room, fast service, spa was incredible. Very accommodating

Found roaches in the room each day we were there. Jacuzzi broken not working. Pool area dirty. Transportation to the parks was very bad and unorganized

Had ants in my room and the staff tried there best not to do anything about it

This was a gorgeous property. Very clean, staff was very helpful with everything we needed. The food at all the restaurants we tried was excellent. The only thing we would suggest is that they could use more directional signs. It's easy to get lost and hard to find your way to wherever you want to go.

Very clean and friendly staff

That was one of the worst experiences we had. We found chattered glass in the sink of our room, the fridge was leaking, hairs in the jacuzzi, mold in the bathroom, overall the room was very dirty.

The ocean view is magnificent!!

Room was great and clean. The resort itself was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the grounds. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed Eliel at Cayuga.

My experience at XCaret Arte was great for the most part. Most of the food was really good, however the best meals were really made during dinner times. The swim up rooms - the water is always really cold - unless you are going during the hottest time of the year, it's going to be cold. The first night I got there, my room at Casa De Pyramide actually flooded, and it took staff around 3 hours to help me find a new room and get help (it was past Midnight before we got help). On top of that one of the staff looked annoyed and insinuated we might have been the reason it flooded, when my partner and had just arrived, left our bags, and went to grab dinner. We didn't hang out at the room. Overall this really made me dissapointed because the staff didn't even try to give us compensation in any way for our troubles. So be careful, overall the night staff is not as friendly as day time staff. Aside from that first bad night, thankfully the rest of the trip was great. I would come back but the lack of help I got the first night makes me hesitant since it is a fairly expensive stay. The XCaret Parks were a 5/5 though, I specifically loved doing the Xenotes Activity - Martin was a fantastic guide and that was a very memorable experience. I would definitely do the park activities again in the future.

Avoid room 4319! It is close to a smoking area where guest congregate late at night (after 11pm) and are loud, making it impossible to get good rest.

So much food!! A few minor details on property (our bathroom door wouldn't close all the way & an area of deferred maintenance on the ceiling in the main area), but overall was great. Our 2nd trip there & already talking about our 3rd. Only wish they had an option to not have admission to the parks. Senior citizens here, one with a scooter that is not accessible to most parks.

Our stay was awesome! I wish we would’ve stayed at least 6 days instead of 5 to explore more. None the less, the staff was great, the food was good, the rooms were very clean. Our only complaint would be that the bed was to stiff for our liking.

Room was clean. Staff was helpful. Amenities were overwhelming. Really be sure of what room you want before you book. We stayed at “Las Artistas” which I guess is a upgrade. I initially booked a SPA Garden Suite Adult, but everyone in our group booked Las Artistas. So we upgraded? Not really sure how it was an upgraded but we did it. The initial room in SPA Garden Suite, in my opinion was better than the River Suite “Las Artistas”. Upgrading our room allowed us in at the roof top pool, and eat a a couple speciality restaurants. The Artistas roof top pool is pretty cool but you have to be there as soon as it opens or before day light, because there is only about 10-12 spots. Upgrade Dining: To be honest it was kind of a let down for a signature/speciality restaurant like Kibi to be just “OK/average” nothing I ate made me say; “Man, I’m so glad we got the upgrade so we could eat here.” My wife and I did eat at Encanta the first night we were there. We didn’t have reservations, the “Butler” is the best perk of the upgrade. He took care of getting us in. “Yes” Encanta’s in my opinion was by-far the best meal during the stay “above average”. The rest of the group (6) never got in to eat there. If they had split up the group, my guess is they would have gotten a reservation. I’m not mad about having to upgrade our room and definitely not a “food snob”or “World Traveler” but in my opinion upgrading to “Artitas” wasn’t worth it.

The resort is absolutely beautiful! It's so big that it never feels crowded. Plenty of places to hang out during the day... pools, beach, lagoon, and no shortage of staff to get you whatever you need! So many dining options, and the food is great! The reasons I did not give 5 stars: I thought it was kind of strange they didn't offer or even have water or anything to drink for us at their airport shuttle waiting area. One staff member said they would have water for us on the bus, but they didn't. The excursions/parks/ etc are a bit unorganized and chaotic. One staff member will say one thing and the next will tell you something different. Lots of wasted time due to inefficiency. 3 out of 4 people traveling with us got sick. My husband was out for about 2 days. My friend and I weren't as bad, but still had stomach issues. We all had it at different times, so I'm actually questioning their water. They provide water in glass bottles which they (supposedly) clean and refill. I know they have their own water filtration system... I just wonder if it's taking out everything that might be harmful. I also know that this happens more often than not in Mexico, but it's my 8th time to Mexico, and the 1st time I've ever been sick. I'd honestly go back to give it another try if I were able to have a case of actual bottled water delivered to my room before arrival.

this is my second time at this resort. the first time was in 2023 and it was amazing which is why we decided to come again, this time is totally different. the check in process took about an hour and the staff named Angel lied to us about receiving vouchers. which normally i’m fully aware that there’s usually a catch but we asked him specifically what’s the catch and how long, both in english and in spanish, and he said no catch it’s the resorts anniversary and i want to give it to you. the next day we got up to meet at 830am and didn’t end up leaving until almost 1pm, which we only ended up leaving because i had to tell them i’ve had enough and i want to leave immediately. took up our whole day and then the same night Angel helped us with our reservations for dinner at arenal and he reserved it for the wrong night. which fyi that restaurant now requires reservations, which they don’t update the forms or the guests. we tried to tell the “manager” who did not care about our frustrations and totally dismissed us. there was also so many other instances of terrible customer service and just staff standing around not trying to help us when we clearly looked confused at times. i will not be returning back, they will try to sell u every second they get. just say no, very disappointed and i will be filing other complaints.

I am writing to share our disappointment with the departure and transportation process during our most recent stay on 9/30/25. Our transportation was confirmed for 2:15 PM, with luggage collection at 12:15 PM. Despite following the instructions we received, our luggage was misplaced, we were directed to the wrong side of the property, and the bus departed without us. We only found one of our bags thanks to an AirTag we had otherwise it would have been completely lost and cause further delays. This experience caused a great deal of stress and nearly made us miss our flight. What makes it worse is that our family are frequent guests of Xcaret Arte, this was our fifth stay and instead of service improving with time, the communication and attentiveness we receive has been declining. We don’t base our feedback on what happens to other guests; we are sharing this because of our experience as a loyal family who has trusted and recommended your resort many times before. It is discouraging to see the level of care and clarity diminish visit after visit. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the communication gaps and organization issues that led to this problem. Our family wants to continue choosing Xcaret Arte, but we need to feel confident that the service reflects the loyalty we’ve shown. We have screenshots of the poor communication in management needs it.

Me gustaria escribir mi reseña de nuestra experiencia en Hotel Xcaret Arte. Llegando nos recibieron muy bien (paletita, toalla humeda), despues nos pasaron para darnos nuestras pulceras, muy amable la host, le pregunte que casa nos habia tocado y nos menciono que nos habia tocado Casa Musica, le sugeri que si habia manera de cambiarnos a Casa Piramide o Casa Diseno, lo cual nos comento que no dependia de ella pero que iba ser todo lo posible para darnos un "upgrade". Proceguimos ir a Xenses y Xplor, hasta aqui todo excelente. Al momento de ir a que nos asignaran nuestras habitaciones, la señorita de entrada estaba con una actitud no tanto amable, no se si porque nos vio que eramos Mexicanos o porque eramos "gay", no se, estaba un tanto cortante, para esto le pregunto "que casa nos toco señorita?", lo cual respondio, "Casa Paz", y has de cuenta que me pusieron un cuete....entonces le dije, habiamos pedido Casa Piramide o ya de perdido Casa Musica que inicialmente nos habia tocado, entonces ella respondio "de hecho, esta casa esta 2 niveles mas arriba de la que habian reservado, tiene una piedra volcanica en la terraza, si ustedes quieren los muevo" - con una voz prepotente; entonces le dije, esta bien, vamos a ver si nos gusta y nos quedamos ahi; nos da los numeros de las habitaciones en un papelito y nos dice ya es todo. No fuimos bien recibidos por ser Mexicanos o gay no se, sentimos descriminacion!

We had a swim up room and our pool was super dirty we reported it but it clean the last day we were there so we could not enjoy it :(. Then the “90min” presentation omg it becomes more than 3hrs nightmare and passive aggressive comments. If you don’t buy it make sure you remember how to get back to the property you are staying in because they just leave you there.

The shuttle transport from the airport to arte was great the staff from beginning to end was amazing. Housekeeping 10/10 our servers from the restaurants 10/10 the pool staff and life guards 10/10 bartenders 10/10. So much to do here at Xcaret arte. The restaurants were amazing, Cantina VIP has a mixed seafood tostada and it was by far the best thing I’ve had so flavorful. San Marco had a huge variety of buffet style food highly recommend the tacos there. Cayuco was solid too bunch of seafood options every restaurant was at least a 4/5 minute walk from our building (casa de música). Our room was beautiful we had a nice view to the center stage for the theater. Stocked mini bar and snacks platform. I highly recommend trying to book a reservation for the other restaurants that require it if you don’t it will be hard to just walk into. The bars were pretty solid pool bars were cool the speak easy was pretty cool the decor was really pretty. Pools closed at 7pm which was my only issue but I think it’s a safety thing so it makes sense. Even when you’re done eating you can walk around to different parts of the hotel and enjoy the art on the walls. Every worker here was always greeting us with good mornings or good afternoons etc any question we had it was answered. We are definitely coming back next year. Cenotes was an amazing tour to do, followed by xel-ha snorkeling there was amazing and finally Xcaret Mexico was really fun a lot of walking around

I enjoyed the swim out room, the food was excellent and the pools. I did not enjoy that you can't order food at the poolside, just drinks. I also didn't enjoy the check in/check out process. There wasn't a clear desk to go to. We had someone walk us a very long way to our room and he did not use that time to explain the restaurant locations or activities at the hotel which would have been a great time. We stayed in our small area of the resort because we felt confused. When it was time to check out, we had no idea where to go and were told 3 different places. That should be very clear and easy process, especially when your car is waiting for you to go to the airport.

The resort was beautiful no doubt about that but the staff and service could use some work. One of the staff messed up our dinner reservation and scheduled it for the wrong date. When we spoke to the hostess, they said there wasn’t anything they could do even though the restaurant was empty. The staff at the concierge desk was also no help and was not willing to make the situation right. As we were voicing our frustration, the manager decided to catch a bug instead of helping us. They need to work on their communication and customer service. From their outdated forms and websites and to the restuarant hostess. We paid so much money to come here and enjoy our vacation but we were stressed out and wasted time.

The resort is beautiful. Large property lot of walking but sooo beautiful. Several restaurants locations and pools. Cancun airport is 1 hour away, xcaret parks are maybe 10-15 minutes away. So much fun again get comfortable water shoes and walking shoes.

we startyed at xcaret arte and it was an amazing experience from the service as soon as u arrive even before having ur assigned room u could start enjoying everything even the parks the pool the restaurant everything that was included. amazing transportation to and from the hotels and parks was amazing no need to rent a car or pay for transportation i would 100% recommend this hotel/resort to everyone

Really enjoyed my stay here at this property, wish I could have had more time to explore it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The areas were kept clean. The Xplor park was my favorite! However I wish it was communicated or advertised somewhere that Xoximilco and Xel Ha was a great distance from Xcaret Arte Having an hour plus trip there and back wasn’t in my schedule and took away time from enjoying the Xcaret Arte property as I had planned. I definitely will be taking another trip to Xcaret Arte!

Convenient for the parks

Beautiful property, great food, very clean and staff very helpful. Make sure you book dinner reservations well in advance. Kayaks need reservations too. It was week worth the extra fee to have park access with shuttles at no addt fee. I feel like i stayed at a great resort and did not have the hassle if third party tour guides to the park. I could comr and go as i pleased. Also, the hardest part was deciding to go to parks or stay in resort, both were beautiful, clean and fun.

It was a lovely vacation. The fact that the park was close by and available by bus made it very accessible. Arte parks are probably some of the best amusement parks I’ve gone to. I will definitely be returning with my family.

Wildly overpriced for the quality delivered. Staff is stretched way too thin to handle this size resort after the expansion. Food was of mixed quality and safety. Beware of surprise charges!

Hotel is amazing, however I was disappointed with a few things with the room, the main door didn't close on its own so had to make sure to pull it closed every time. The toilet had a leak and would not flush properly, there was a ceiling light that was flickering in the room, and the TV stopped working multiple times. Didn't like that they advertise it as access to everything and all the restaurants, it's just if you stay in a certain "casa" and wish photos were included with the high price of the stay.

Best resort we’ve ever been to! Food was amazing but make sure you contact concierge waayyy ahead of your stay to make reservations.

I absolutely LOVED my stay at Xcaret Arte! They offer so many activities to do and literally the property is unreal. The nature and animals makes the experience amazing!! The people are kind and helpful. I went by myself and the tour of Xenotes and Xochimilco were just out of this world. I'm looking forward to booking here again in the near future!! Food was soo good too!

I stayed with my brother for 6 nights 7 days . The buffet was good . Tah xido was meh, chino poblano was terrible, and the waiters not very attentive . I like cantina vip . The food was alright . Arenal was really good . I did like the menu , however I don’t think burgers are very Mexican for a Mexican gastronomy restaurant, aside from that I think the chef Jose Luis Instrosa I believe is his name , his menu is decent .My waiter Santiago from arenal was so attentive and nice, he really made the experience great . They have workshops when you stay at casa arte , I was able to do a ceramic class with my brother and it was awesome , Aril the instructor really took his time with us . We also did the xichen tour and Yair was so knowledgeable about Mayan culture and really made us feel welcomed . He was so passionate about his work , it really made the experience that much better . Sadly I do have some negatives , some of the employees can be stand offish particularly by the main pool area. Jorge from the main pool grabbed my stuff and placed it somewhere else without telling me , I asked the lifeguard if he knew and he said to ask the man named Jorge , so I went to him and he said it was in the way with an attitude , he also proceeded to call me “mi Reina” which I feel is inappropriate . He also seemed to be on a substance . That interaction made me feel uncomfortable . Aside from that I still recommend the hotel, you definitely get your moneys worth .

This is our second time visiting this property. The first time was 3 years ago. Much has changed, especially the dining/food and price! The resort is still fantastic; however, I don't know if we'd visit again. Most of the food options are now served buffet-style, whereas three years ago, restaurant and menu items were available. You can still make dinner reservations; however, all breakfast and lunch options are buffet style. There are no longer "street vendors" such as bacon-wrapped hot dogs, and the taco cart outside of the Speakeasy is completely different. The Sunday Brunch, served in the caves, has quadrupled in price! However, the Sunday Brunch at Mercado is excellent. As for the adventure parks, they remain fun, but the food at these parks is marginal at best. Will we go back, maybe, our stay at Arte is a good option; however, if we do go back, it will probably be for a few days at La Casa de la Playa for the experience.

Hotel and staff were amazing. Only downside was it was so huge that we had to figure out which way to go to figure out where our room was but being that we are landmark people it was easier for us, shuttle to xplor was nice and comfortable. When they did our room cleaning someone took a robe which we could have gotten charged for thankfully, we did not And we were even offered another robe. Food was amazing except, but we believe everyone in our party got food poisoning at the restaurant named Arenal and we had diarrhea for days other than that. Oh wait to pay that much for an all-inclusive resort stay we had limited access to certain parts of the resort due to members only ““ Now other than that experience was I was saying 7 1/2 out of 10.

Staying at Xcaret Arte is definitely an incredible experience. Standout details were the impeccable grounds and plentiful activities that were included in the price. I preferred the buffet dining options over the sit-down restaurants which I was surprised about, particularly because the resort has Michelin starred chefs at the helm of some of those restaurants. All staff were kind and attentive. I had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return!
