The Casablanca Hotel

Pool was closed, for unknown reason. Staff where cold checking in, apparently a simple Good Morning required too much effort upon checking out for anyone in the long line up….. Parking was lacking, especially handicapped. Many hairs in the bedding, disgusting. Previous stays have been better. Doubt any future stays.

We really enjoyed the indoor pool being open late which allowed us to relax after a long day. The staff was very helpful and ensured that we had everything we requested in a timely manner.

They also have a nice gym!

Great location, can walk to the water. Tim's across the road. Pool was warm. Bar staff were friendly. While we didn't eat there we heard from people that the food was decent pub grub. We will stay here again!

The restaurant rep that delivered our dinner was fabulous. He went above to ensure we felt at home with our order and were pleased. The front desk staff were excellent as they did a quick room change after check in to accommodate us deciding to bring our dog. Pool was clean and room was quiet!

The check in was awesome. The lady at the front desk during the day shift was great The lady on evenings first told us we had to use the towels from our room for the pool and when I questioned it she gave us towels from behind the desk The pool was so cold the kids lips turned blue The restaurant service was great for a group of 18 but we were the only ones there. Disappointed the buffet is gone

Great location, room was very clean and staff were exceptional! Hotel could definitely stand to be updated. Workout room and pool area could definitely need an overhaul. Overall it was a very pleasant stay!

The staff was great. Overall the hotel is very outdated and old. We were hoping to enjoy the pool with the kids but the pool was not heated and extremely cold. Rooms were ok, wi-fi was extremely poor. Leaks in the roof of the pool area. The staff were amazing, non of our issues stemmed from service.

Arrival was handled efficiently and desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, however the toilet would not flush (repaired promptly) and the toilet seat was very worn and unsightly. Other than that, our stay was quite satisfactory. There was a long line of Tesla EV Charging stations, but none that accepted other brands like ours. Disappointing !

Staff was courteous and room was large. Place is a bit dated. The bathroom needs attention. Black ring around where the water comes out of the showerhead. The head is silver. This is probably mould. Water damage in ceiling over toilet. Fan is filthy as is the light switch.

Good location and easy access to the highway and GOTL, but this hotel is looking tired and dated. My bathroom had issues with mold, fans and ventilation all over the property were filthy. My room had peeling paint on the walls and windows have obviously not been cleaned in years. The restaurant was only open 4 to 9.

Despite its age, the hotel staff clearly cares for this property and the hotel condition proves it. The super clean facilities and well kept rooms make for a warm and very comfortable stay. Lake Ontario is within walking distance, as are several food options.

It was very hot in the rooms. Front desk said the A/C had not yet been turned on for the season. I opened the curtains to see if the window would open, it didn’t wand the sills were covered in dead bugs. Entire room and bathroom were very outdated. Grout around shower was black with mildew.

The first night the room was damp and smelled of mold. The carpet was actually damp on bare feet. The tub stopper wouldn’t work. The staff kindly moved me to a different room for the second night which was fine.

Terrible smell in the hallways and inside the rooms, old and dirty carpet, old dated hotel. Old bathrooms. Damp carpet, extremely overpriced. It was the worst part of my family trip. I didn’t dreaded going back to the hotel, tried to stay out as long as possible.

Basic hotel. Room cleaning is only carried out every 3 days but I think fresh towels will be offered if requested. Close to a Tesla supercharger.

The room is not cleaned on a daily basis but only every three days, which means that we even had to ask for towels because we were not told about this when we registered. It is the first hotel where I have seen this happen. I find it pretty unacceptable.

You need to start renovating! Toilet etc was yuck. Tv didnt work properly either will not be back till you fix

The staff was very friendly. The room was very warm, and we could not control the temperature. It's a bit dated but overall clean.

This hotel used to be really nice and it's restaurant very good. While the staff was pleasant and the room clean, it's obvious things have changed. TV streaming was impossible the Internet is so bad.

Very comfortable room with a very comfortable bed and great pillows. Those are always my main two concerns when staying in a hotel. Id definitely stay here again!

Very large and comfortable room.

Husband and I booked a stay just for the eclipse. First impressions walking in the door - a showstopper of a staircase. Check-in was friendly, informative and efficient. Exiting the elevator the first thing I noticed was a musty, old smell. The ice machine room reeked badly of mold, no way I was using any ice. Fortunately the room smelled cleaner. Unfortunately, the room was uncomfortably hot as management hadn't switched over to AC for the season yet. Windows do not open. We were fortunate enough to secure a fan from the front desk and were somewhat able to sleep - it was still too hot in the room even for a sheet. Beds weren't terrible but also weren't great. Bathroom had an ancient jacuzzi with green corrosion visible on the jet nozzles (ew!), and an awkwardly tiny triangular shower stall. Room decor was dated and shabby. Desperately needs updating; quite obvious owners are just riding it out until demolition, judging by the zoning variance sign. Restaurant was just ok. Service was great; food not so much - wings tasted frozen & microwave defrosted. Nacho special was carefully prepared but unfortunately oversalted. The wifi was beyond terrible & dropped frequently. Best download speedtest was 6.44 mbps and worst was 1.51. Pretty much unusable and my LTE didn't work inside the room. Hotel also ran out of hot water on Monday morning. TV selection was basic cable, no option for any streaming.

Great service and location. We found the air in our room to be stagnant even with the HVAC system on. Housekeeping kindly provided a fan when we asked.

The Front desk Employees were professional ,friendly and I would recommend the hotel to people visiting in the future.

The propery was nice and clean but the house cleaning only cane every three days and we were asked to take the garbage out for myself. Teo of the managers and one front desk staff were very uppity and not helpful at all.

I went to leave my room and the door lock did not work and I could not secure my room. Front desk staff gave me another room (upgrade) immediately. The location is wonderful, stayed with my dog, went for a beautiful walk at lake front, visiting stores on main road. Beautiful.

One receptionist with blonde hair & glasses was very welcoming and friendly. The receptionist when we left was younger with brown hair and glasses and was not very friendly.

From the moment I got there the sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain. Front desk couldn’t care less. They absolutely knew there was an issue. I got into the room to wash my hands. The sink never was empty after that. By the next morning, it was at max capacity, you couldn’t wash your hands or face or anything. Front desk said “ok, thanks for letting us know”. Spoiled my stay. Couldn’t wash your hands properly afraid the sink would overflow. They totally knew there was a problem but didn’t care. Didn’t offer any solution.

Mark at the front desk was polite, friendly, went over and above good service!

Floor #3 smelled like old cigarette smoke & so did my room (my friend was in a different room). In addition my room was FREEZING and I was told it was an old hotel and the heat wasn't on anywhere in the building yet. She let me try another room but it was just as cold so I kept my original room. The hotel itself is in a great location by the lake which was nice. We didn't have time to try out the pool so can't comment on that. Be aware that there aren't a lot of restaurants right near the hotel - we drove to downtown where there was better selection.

Casablanca was clean! Pet friendly. Staff was pleasant and accomodating.. We loved the 5 min walk to the lake. People in this area were polite and friendly.

Very convenient location and access to activities in the Niagara region.

Only there for one night. Check in was easy and parking was in front of the hotel. It’s close to major routes.

Beautiful hotel, the room was nice. The restaurant food was not so great. Not many options to choose from and everything seemed under cooked. I would stay here again for the convenient location.I just wouldn't eat at the restaurant. Tim Hortons is just across the road so it was nice for coffee in the morning and a quick breakfast. We also asked for extra towels after having a bath the night before and we never received any any which kinda sucked for the morning showers.

The Casablanca is a beautiful hotel, starting with the Scarlet Ohara stair case and the lovely lobby. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were large. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The restaurant was also very good.

Our king room was lovely. It was bright, comfortable and very quiet. The biggest disappointment was the restaurant. For supper the wings were undercooked and had to be redone. Breakfast the following day had eggs that were supposed to be over easy but instead were slimy on top with the yolk almost dry. Sausages tasted odd. The cheddar omelette was slimy like it was egg substitute undercooked and came covered in onion. The wait time for our breakfast was ridiculous and it wasn’t even busy.

The hotel is convenient along the highway. Clean and comfortable. No dining on the premises on Mondays.

No continental breakfast, no open restaurant onsite

An older hotel but in a decent area. Bedding was good. Heating system didn’t work. Avoid the restaurant; misleading prices ($15 nachos suddenly became $30. To add chicken was an additional $9 and it was barely there. It tasted bad and wasnt worth it at the end. It certainly dampered our experience.
