We booked this hotel because it had a pool and when we got there found out that pool was closed because maintenance man was on holiday. So very disappointed about the pool. The room was lovely but the two telephones were not working and couldn't be fixed as the maintenance man was on holiday. The breakfast service is what you would expect from an inclusive buffet service. The toaster needs to be replaced as it struggled to even brown the toast. I guess the maintenance guy being on holiday effected lots of things. The staff were nice and responsive regarding the problems but were limited because the maintenance guy was on holiday.

Elevator not working properly, would drop a foot at times and very loud. Rooms not as depicted in pictures, very outdated. Plumbing/water lines so loud was waking people up. Very disappointing.

Checked in and pool was closed even those pictures appeared on website as if it was open…no big pool closed statement on website. In morning was told no hot breakfast due to staff shortage and new years holiday. Luckily for us the front desk lady was very nice and heated up some eggs and sausage for us. Would have picked another hotel with a pool if the drive wasn’t so exhausting due to daughter and I were doing last swim together before ACL surgery. We’d stayed here before however was very disappointed this trip.

Was on holidays and wanted a pool. Arrived and was told the pool was not open and was told Expedia had been notified of the pool being out of service. Had already paid and couldn’t go elsewhere, family was very upset.

The elevator was not accessible from the main floor. There did not appear to be any emergency in having it repaired. Although I was able to walk to the 3rd floor where my room was, there were others who could not do so. Other than this issue , I enjoyed my stay there.

Great place to stay and this Inn is pet friendly which makes a big difference compared to other accommodations. Walking distance from the lake, beautiful neighborhood, friendly and welcoming staff, very clean. We will come back for sure!

The rooms and the hotel are very clean. It did not smell like cleaner, it was just clean. The continental breakfast was hot and delicious with many options. Front desk was very hospital, friendly and many smiles. It was a great experience. I would recommend the Quality Inn and Suites to anyone looking to stay in Grimsby or the surrounding area. Thank you for your excellent hospitality.

The bath rub area was moldy. Black mold along the grout. No shampoo in the dispenser. The iron was broken. Kleenex was empty and the sheets and pillows need replacement. Breakfast was disappointing with stale muffins and a lack of juice, Very disappointing stay

Was fine for the most part, clean. Colour of the walls (mustard) was out of the 70’s and made the rooms too dark for my liking. Tiny bathroom, and there was no handle on the wall in the bathtub - dangerous!!!

We stayed on the 2nd floor. It was extremely loud from people hanging in the lobby for several hours because the floor is open. So definitely request to be on the 3rd or 4th floor. The guy working the front desk was not into his job at all. He didnt tell us about where and when breakfast is, where the elevator is, what the password for the wifi is... absolutely nothing! I dont even know how much the deposit was because he didnt say. We used the pool... it was filled with dead flies!! Seems like the staff just sitting around listening to music could have filled their time better by making sure it was clean prior to check in... absolutely filthy. Breakfast was so-so... eggs,sausage, toast... would be nice if they had some fruit available. No issues with the room... mattresses are definitely old but it wasnt the worst sleep. The tv channels are messed up... 300s to 800s, and no channel guide available so i don't know what kind of shady cable theyre using but it was weird. For 180 a night, it was definitely too much. I feel like i should be given a refund for the obnoxious group in the lobby that kept my infant up until after 11pm.

Everthing was good, except tha, on arrival, I requested a late checkout and was told no problem, just to mention it when I come down for breakfast. So on the checkout day, I did, and was told I eould need to pay half a day! So, instead of a 5-hour delayed checkout, I reduced it to 2 hrs. All they gave me was 1 hour. Then they phoned before the hour was even up. They should have been more flexible and accommodating.

Man was very friendly at late check in. Then, got a room on 2nd floor, but didn’t like the smell, so front desk gentleman was very polite and accommodating. He immediately switched us to a room on the 1st floor which was great. The Breakfast lady was extremely polite and friendly. Those 2 staff were great, good location, hotel as expected and did what we needed it to do.

Initial impression was not good at all. Front desk not able to answer our question about restaurants in the area which I would expect they should be able to do that. However the worst part was what we saw in our room we were given. When we entered the room it was very cold, smelly and the bed had a huge stain on it. Picture included. We immediately left the room and headed back to the front desk where we were given another room. The 2nd room was good and seemed clean but unfortunately that first impression really turned us off. I stayed at a Quality Inn last year in Victoria,BC and had an awful experience there as well. However, it looked like the reviews for this one were quite good so I took another chance but never again. The experience here made my skin crawl- i don’t know how it is possible to leave a room looking like that for guests arriving!

Person checking me in never stopped texting on his phone during checkin which is a little uncomfortable when he has your credit card in his hand. Went to use elevator to go to third floor and it never came to first floor , asked if it was broken and the guy said no you just have to walk up to the second floor and bring it down to the first then you could use it, I think that constitutes it being broken. Noisiest room I have ever been in due to traffic on the QEW and the a/c unit in the bedroom that never shut off. On the second night we had to unplug it in order to get some sleep. Bathroom is so small the sink had to be in the living area of the suite.If you were sitting on the toilet and someone opened the door it would have broken your knee caps. The entire suite was very tiny as it appears to be a regular room that they put a wall up in to seperate it into two small spaces. Needless to say I will not be returning to this hotel

Perfect location to avoid major traffic areas around Toronto and Hamilton with LOTS of food options nearby. A pleasant surprise to find a new restaurant doing a soft opening just around the corner. The property was clean and easy to find. Quiet location just off the highway exit was very convenient for a one night stay after returning from an international flight.
