Beautiful location on Kootenay Lake. There are lots of amenities including a marina. The property has eating and drinking options. Only a 15 minute walk from the property to downtown Nelson. The room was comfortable with a great AC unit keeping the room temperature comfortable. The bathroom has a sliding barn-style door that I would recommend the property re-think.

Only negative is that they don't have smart TVs so that you can access your streaming services. Overall had a very nice stay. We enjoyed walking down the strip to the park and to the beach.

Great amenities! Besides a comfortable room and bed, they had free e-bikes, free one-hour kayaks, free coffee & tea bar, and the trolley just outside. Plus a lovely restaurant on the water. A slice of paradise.

Right from check-in the staff was courteous and friendly. The hotel is very clean, and modern, bright. We had a lakefront room with lounge chairs in the front to enjoy the waterfront. The hotel restaurant was excellent for the two meals we had. It was very nice to have the option of a free bike rentals and kayak at the resort all within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.

This was our 5th time staying at the Prestige Lakeside in Nelson. The staff are always amazing and the property is flawless when it comes to cleanliness and maintenance. The pools are great too. The Kids love it there. We will 1000% be back again.

The lake,water activities, dining options, coffee shop, it was all there on this fun summer trip. We were pleasantly surprised by Prestige Resort. The room was clean, stylish, and comfortable. The lakeside rooms are certainly better views than the city side. Nelson is situated in a valley surrounded by breathtaking mountains, all around. The hotel is at the bottom of the elevated streets where the shops and restaurants are located, so you will be walking 15-20 minutes uphill to get into the heart of the famous Baker Street area. My husband and I liked being closer to nature and a bit removed but if you really like the bustle more or want to park and forget your car while in the town you may want to stay a few blocks up. Prestige Resorts is what made a fun summer getaway. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a nice walking and bike path that runs between the lake and hotel that is great for exercise and following the west arm of the lake. The marina in front of the hotel offers kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding. The dock is available for swimming but there is no beach area by the hotel. That would be a nice addition for guests. The inside pool is nice but chilly. The hot tub worked great. Overall a nice pleasant hotel for a small town.

Lobby was under construction; the smell of paint was horrible, the sheets had old blood stain on them. Outrageous price to be put facing the parking lot beside a door and garbage bins.

We had some issues..we had booked the beach suite.The floors where black..upon the first night my feet became very dirty an hour after checking in. My husband took a towel to the floors..towel turned black.These floors had not been cleaned in awhile.Front desk documented our concerns it was a late check in at 9:30pm. We figured at 480$ a night this would be taken care of the next day,unfortunately it was not and they resent the cleaners to do it. They left crumbs and the floors still black. .Monday the manager was in I showed him the video of floors and he claimed we scrubbed to hard with a white towel..strange..I said I wanted clean floors he said they could manage that..We had one day left and room became clean.I told manager I would book another night (Tues) if he came to a fair resolution..THESE FLOORS where over the top dirty..not just a skiff of dust keep that in mind..He said he felt comfortable discounting 50 percent of 1 night of the 3…that didn’t work for me as I wanted to book another night and he could comp 1 as we lived with the dirty feet and grime of others for 2 nights..anyway less then stellar customer service & we where advised that they do room checks but the floors aren’t checked & basically it was to hard of a scrub on an easy clean vinyl plank floor that my husband did..Hence the reason the towel was “Black” after.This was thru the whole room! ..Seldom cleaned floors.Yikes!We expect more all around.

The Bed was then worst. Very cheep bed. Had no support, my back has hurt for days after sleeping on it.. I complained and they had no answers for me. Will not come back to this location

Booked on Expedia showed up at 1 am after driving all night and couldn’t even stay since not have a credit card . Already paid for the room $544.96… paid through Expedia …. girl at the desk needed a credit card for a deposit I don’t use credit cards but have already paid for the room using my debit visa she then told me to ask the people in front of us that just checked in to use their credit card… obviously don’t feel comfortable asking somebody to use their credit card that I don’t even know ….ended up leaving and staying at Hume hotel no problems …. Have tried to communicate with hotel over this issue as I have been fully charged and have been given the run around with hotel clerk Baljeet. Very disappointing and out almost 600 dollars over it.

Perfect location, lakeview rooms have a truly fantastic view. Walkable, close to town, shopping, restaurants and breweries. Torchlight brewery is a must ! You can also rent kayaks at the marina and e-bikes at the resort. Inquire, it might be included in your room rate. Very impressed with Nelson and surroundings, great vacation, we will return.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort. The facilities were great, and the check-in and checkout process was easy. The location was fantastic. We could easily walked up to Baker Street and we loved taking the tram to the Lakeside park. We definitely would love to come back!

Best place for a romantic getaway! We brought our dog and we're able to stay in a suite. The hotel is just beside downtown, walkable, but the view of the lake each morning was well worth it!

I would recommend staying at the Prestige Lakeside Resort. Check in was fast and easy. Rooms are large and well set up. We stayed on the Lakeside which was lovely watching the boats in the marina and people out on the lake. Both restaurants are great. They have Empire coffee shop on site. Short walk to Baker Street.
