Hot tub was not avaliable the pool was dirty the pool door was hard to get open using the room card didn't work easily. The shower walls where dirty the rooms could do with an up date. The windows in the pool area are cracked and the pool ladder isn't very safe.

Good place to stay for a night when visiting. Pool was a little cold for comfort, and the hot tub was lukewarm. Other than that, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable!

Room was clean and large. The breakfast area for some reason is freezing cold. Breakfast was on the lower end of the spectrum. The pool was incredibly cold. So cold that the kids didn’t want to go in it. I’d probably say it’s a good 68 degrees.

The room was clean and smelled good. For an older hotel its well maintained. Everything was as expected from the pictures. the bed was comfortable with nice pillows and the airconditioning worked well. It was very quiet and the breakfast was decent. The staff were friendly.

We have stayed in a number of hotels in north bay for work. For the price this one has the most comfortable beds and pillows. Smells clean, sheets are clean. Lots of sun light. Older and outdated. Breakfast was alright, waffles were sour.

Front desk staff was nice. Cleanliness of entire hotel was poor(walls/baseboards/ceilings,doors ect) in room were very dirty, surface areas were clean(i hope). Pool and hot tub area were GROSS- panty liners and used eyelashes, foamy- visible mold and walls all peeling and falling apart - in serious need of repair. Our room was freeezing, the entire inside of sliding doors were iced on the inside(i forgot to take a pic until the sun started melting it). Breakfast was nice and so were the staff working it. Ask for 5 extra blankets and stear clear of the pool area!

Patio door did not lock except for a stop bar which was concerning, light fixture shorting when turned on, cobwebs in room and halls where ceiling meets wall, previous guests socks in room, patio door curtain filthy, hot tub not - luke warm at best, pool filthy, general lack of cleaning and obvious neglect. Nice breakfast spread.

The bathroom had mold and pink Mildew. Staff did try to help and showed they could wipe off a section of mildew with cleaner they gave me. I ended up buying bleach to clean. Tub was full of scum. Fridge had pop in it. Stairs were worn and dirty. Floor was dirty in room. Staff were pleasant but busy so limited help.

There was no parking available so we had to drive all over the hotel. People were drinking outside the hotel and it was very loud. The walls were paper thin so we could hear everything. People were loud and drunk in the next rooms and down the hall. Also, kids were loud and screaming early in the morning.

This building is old. The tv had about 3 channels but the remote doesn’t work. When we mentioned that to the front desk they said that one one tv in the entire hotel works properly. Walls were paper this. I won’t stay here again

The room was clean, we had more than enough towels, there was a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. There were plenty of pillows and the beds were comfortable. I could have used an extra blanket on the bed. Bring earplugs, the traffic is loud on the road just beside the rooms, especially big trucks.

Older hotel, but it’s the smell of old smoking rooms and those that smoke right outside the building that makes it not smell clean. The pool isn’t heated and the lack of an elevator is a challenge. 2 of the 3 lights in room 228 don’t work. The service desk was quick and mono toned. No warm welcome or check out.

Check in was very good. The clerk (Hannah) was very nice and polite. When you first walk in, it is clean but it still has a faint smell of old cigarettes (probably from when they had smoking rooms). The room was clean but we had some issues with the electrical in the room. When trying to charge our phones, it wasn't a strong connection and often took a long time to charge. Plugs also kept falling out of the outlet. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom very clean. We were on the first floor which had a patio door so we were able to park outside our room which was very convenient but there were alot of cigarette butts on the ground. We also found that the security of the room was not up to par. It does have a security bar to keep the patio door from opening if put in place but the actual lock on the patio door did not work. The heated pool and hot tub was nice. Breakfast was ok. The scrambled eggs were those dehydrated or powdered type eggs instead of fresh eggs. Overall there wasn't a big variety for the breakfast choices. Overall, it was a nice stay with just a few negatives.

The hotel needs improvement in its sound proofing. We could hear every conversation, every door close, traffic from outside as well as showers in other rooms. It made sleeping impossible. Also our room never received any housekeeping or any explanation as to why it didn’t happen. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Would not recommend. Another guest was at front desk complaining about kids running and screaming, slamming doors when we checked in. It continued throughout the night and early morning. Staff was not professional or friendly. The lady at the overcrowded breakfast station bit my head off for using the wrong cutlery while trying to rush to get out of the way. They have “trees” growing out of the eavestroughs making it impossible to step out without the overflow of water soaking you

Property is clean and conveniently located. Pool is small and shallow so not great for those who like to “actively “ swim. Staff is nice but I waited 1.5 hours for them to solve another guests issue before helping me with mine so that wasn’t great. The surrounding area isn’t nice if you want to take a walk or go outdoors, but for an overnight stay, it’s fine.

Very convenient location just off the highway. Staff member who checked us in was amazing, person working front desk the next morning wasn’t as great but not that bad either. Breakfast was quite decent. Really cannot beat the rates!

2nd time staying here. Daughter is at Nippissing University and hotel is well priced and not far from University. Breakfast bar is awesome. I think I’ve found my go to hotel while in North Bay

We had been discouraged from staying here due to some negative reviews about the cleanliness of rooms. We found that the room was very clean and that the breakfast was satisfactory. Water pressure and temperature in the shower were excellent. The television was a little difficult to figure out but, otherwise, everything was fine.

The stay overall was good. The hotel was very clean. Everything was fine in room. The part we noticed was that you could hear the person next to you pretty clearly, tv flushing of toilets etc and kids running up and down the hallways. The breakfast was fine but the line ups were long and found no where to sit. Went to room to eat.
