We were able to check-in early which was great after a very long day. We were in the second building and it was very quiet. Rooms are decent with no complaints. Gym was good with lots of weight options and some cardio equipment. We needed to print something and the staff were very wonderful and helpful from the moment we arrived. Location isn't right in town but not a far walk. Overall a nice quiet evening.

Stayed here 3 years ago- pool was out of service and had been for months, but they hid that until we checked in and unpacked. Stayed here again Saturday May 24th 2025. Called 2 days prior to make sure amenities would be working prior to arrival. Checked in, unpacked, went for dinner and went to spend the evening in the hot tub……but it’s all ripped apart and under repairs! Has been for some time. Still unclear why they lied prior to booking. They gave me a small discount on the nights booking but we booked here only to enjoy an evening in the hot tub relaxing after a day of rafting. Room was otherwise fine, but with kids and booking only to use amenities I will never stay at a Sandman again. I’m sure they didn’t need my money bad enough to ruin our evening plans. Not sure why it’s worth lying about when you can’t hide the broken pool and hot tub.

It was a good stay. The only disappointment was that the pool in the building we stayed in was closed. It made going to the pool a hassle. It wouldn't have been so bad in the summer but in winter it was a definite pain.

Yes it was clean but the whole property is sprawling and covers two buildings. The accessible parking is right beside the smoking area which is just wrong. Also the pool was drained and there was no mention of the pool closed. There may be a Denny’s on site but you have to access it from outside. Simply not worth the money.

Super convenient stop with a Denny’s next door. All ice machines have not worked the last few times there. No out of order signs on them. They have been told but seem to not bother getting them fixed.

Room was dated, building is old. The lack of an elevator was a minor inconvenience with heavy bags. There must have been an event as there was quite a bit of noise from other guests and their. The room was clean, it worked for the purpose - a place to rest between driving stints.

The hotel smells really bad; like a mixture of old cigarette smoke and dirty carpets. The room was very dark, with a window to the poorly illuminated, out of order, empty, pool. Location wise, it’s on the outskirts of the town, not within walking distance to the centre. Some sketchy people walking around. The guy at reception was great and deserves 5 stars for service and friendliness though.

Checked in, got to room, and promptly checked back out with a full refund. Balcony halls to upper floor rooms were FILTHY with sticky spills, the room itself smelled musty. Old fridge that no longer worked but built in to small stovetop kitchenette, that was probably older than I am, was not a good first look. Newer mini fridge next to closet, seemed fine. Spiders in multiple ceiling corners, spills from previous guest on floor by garbage can. Bathroom looked fairly updated, but kids were so freaked out by the spiders, and the questionable cleanliness even of baseboards was a hard NO. Front desk was apologetic. Thankfully, we were able to get a room at another nearby hotel. Pics on Google and expedia profile really NOT accurate. Sandman hotel, unfortunately more like a run down motel. Lobby was the nicest looking part.

The rooms were dirty amd full of black mold and pink mold on walls and bathtubs. There was pee still all over the bathroom floors and the carpets in the rooms were super dirty and black. You can find garbage wrappers all around and behind furniture. Doesnt seem like house keeping cleans properly. I dont think the general manger realizes or cares. We had to change our room twice during check in day. When explaining to the night manager she was nice about it and her reaction with dirty rooms seemed like they know they have an issue there that isnt being solved. I would not recommend this place ever nor should i recommend it on Expedia.

Front counter was very nice, stayed 3 nights and room wasnt cleaned before we got there. Table between beds had sticky rings and spills from cups, let my kid crawl around on carpet, then noticed his legs and knees were very dirty. A closer look at the carpet and you could tell it hasnt been vacuum or shampooed in a long time. Carpet smelt bad. Asked a guy that was cleaning if they could vacuum and clean room no staff came to room to replenish towels or toilet paper. Room

The bathroom had a used soap in the shower, floor had something brown that could have been wiped, and garbage on the floor. Room was freezing upon entering with a/c set to 16, set the temp to 18 and left the room. Back of the bathroom door was also quite dirty, looked like it just needed a good wipe. Makes you wonder what wasn’t cleaned that we can’t see. Told the desk about concerns at check out and she asked if we called to change rooms previous night, we did not, after driving 10 hours we went for dinner then back to our room to sleep……

The property was nicely situated for our requirements, but the furnishings and decor were quite worn. Torn curtains and just generally could use some updates. The bathroom was perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable and the place was pretty quiet.

The staff were really great and helpful! The room faced an inside courtyard with an empty pool. The bed needed replacing as it has a big valley in the middle. Otherwise it was clean. A bit expensive for what it is.

We loved that the hotel was pet friendly, but was extremely frustrated with where they decided to place our room. Knowing that we had two children and a dog, made us extremely upset we were put with a large group of young hockey boys. The hotel had lots of availability so the fact that we were put in between a large group with two kids

Considering the Inn was slammed with a large line of customers due to a highway closure the front desk staff was very pleasant to all. The Sandman Inn has a very nice bicycle lock up and even has tools if needed. This was greatly appreciated.

Checked in and the woman working was not friendly at all. Told us our room was in the next building but did not elaborate as to where or what door to enter or even where to park. Entered our room and found what looked to be crumbs on the bed but after 12 hours of driving we were too tired to walk around 2 buildings to complain. Left early the next morning and went to check out and was told the woman working could not access the computer to print out our receipt. Would not stay again

I was booked into a 2nd floor room with no elevators. I could not carry all my luggage, etc. up the stairs. Even though they were heavily booked, the reception found me a room on the main floor. I was very appreciative.

This was unfortunately one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. When I arrived at the hotel I discovered that one of the other front desk staff had checked in someone under my reservation. This meant that I did not get the room I had paid for, and extended the check in time considerably. Then, upon reaching my room, I found that I had been assigned an unclean room (beds were not made, food crumbs all over the table, etc). I was then subsequently moved to a different room, after a call with the front desk. While the staff were apologetic about both the 40 minute check-in disaster and the unclean room they originally switched me into: this does not negate the fact that this was the least impressed I have been with a hotel, especially given the price I paid.

The Sandman was all we needed for the night. Despite the rear building looking run down from the outside, the rooms in it were surprisingly big, well furnished, clean, nice bed, and nicely decorated. Not walkable to downtown, but only a 5 minute drive to restaurants, coffee, and cute shopping in a ski town. Its not glamourous, but we'd definitely stay again.

Misleading Advertising, Poor Value & Disappointing Amenities  We recently stayed at the Sandman Hotel in Revelstoke and were very disappointed. Their website advertised complimentary breakfast, which was a key reason we booked—but when we arrived, there was no breakfast at all. What they did offer were three empty coffee containers in the lobby, which they seemed to consider their “free breakfast.” It felt completely misleading and unacceptable. On top of that, the hotel is overpriced for what you get. The rooms are basic and not worth the rate they’re charging. To make matters worse, the pool doesn’t even open until 10:00 AM. That’s incredibly inconvenient for families or anyone hoping to enjoy a swim before check-out. Overall, we felt misled and overcharged. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel unless they correct their advertising and offer a level of service that matches the price.

Good overnight stop off when travelling through to the Rockies. Not close to town but if you’re up for a 30 minute walk your set. Denny’s is conveniently located for a hearty breakfast the next day.
