Three Valley Lake Chateau

Quite a unique property, outdoor garden not maintained, enjoyed the recreation area, lake is beautiful, we would stay here again.

I loved how unique this place is. And all the fun stuff to enjoy like the beach, pool, ghost town, indoor and outdoor gardens, and games areas. Will definitely stay again.

Dinning room has gluten-free options. Beautiful gardens to walk around in, a lake with kayak rental. The ghost town on the property is great to tour and the train roundhouse with the vintage cars offers a great experience.

Quirky, great looking building. It's location is fabulous, right on the lake where you can rent kayaks or paddle boards or laze on the small beach, or grass areas. Next to the highway and train line there is noise at night, but you do get use to it. There is a pool and hot tub and table games. The room was clean (hairdryer/sink area a bit dusty). Lots of towels. Beds clean and comfy. Restaurant next door plus small shop. There is also a ghost town tour. Great place to stay, especially for the price.

What an amazing place to stay. So much history and culture. The pool and hot tub were great and we had fun in the rec room. Indoor and outdoor gardens were well kept. Room was clean and staff were friendly. Check in was simple and quick.

It was such a cool experience! My kids loved the indoor gardens and the pool and the play area by the pool. There’s so much to explore it’s amazing! Would definitely stay again!

Had a great view . Ghost town was great, i loved that there was something to do during our stay. Also ping pong tables were great to. The pool temperature was a little to warm and lots of floating hair. But everything else was good

The hotel, the lake view is beautiful. So many things to do there to enjoy the vacation like canoeing, TT, pool or just seat on the lakeshore or roam ghost town. Dining facilities are also available and downtown is just 10mnts drive.

Older motel but unique, historical. Rooms dated but clean. Enjoyed the private beach and proximity of restaurant. Food was average, but reasonably priced.

Very run down rooms/old building. If it were anywhere else I would have left immediately. Unclean. Waited 2 hours for small town diner level food. Room was dirty and had multiple spiders in it since balcony door left open. Smelt musty throughout building with stained floors and walls. No a/c which we knew, but poor ventilation made it worse. Furniture exceptionally old and not in a vintage way. Only redeeming quality was the main entrance and museum. Stunning location. Wouldn’t stay ever again.

The property itself is gorgeous and the rooms have stunning views. However, the beds are horribly uncomfortable and because they have no a/c the rooms get very hot. The only way to cool the room down is to sleep with the balcony door open, but, as the hotel is right along a busy highway, you’re then stuck listening to semis driving by all night long. There is a games room attached to the pool area that was quite fun, including table tennis and indoor hopscotch. The pool itself is in much need of attention. There is a layer of grime on the tiles around the pool, and there are a handful of tiles missing from a section of the pool. The ghost town was by far our favourite thing about the property. With so much to explore and read about, you could easily spend a few hours walking the town. The restaurant has something for everyone and the food was pretty good. Overall, we are glad we stayed a night to give the impressive-looking hotel a try; although, we would not be quick to stay again due to the uncomfortable beds, hot or loud rooms, and the cleanliness really needs work.

The bathroom smelled like urine, badly. Pretty sure no one had cleaned the bathroom floor in a long time. When checking in the fellow beside me had the same room and his cost was $220.07, mine was $288.xx I asked the front attendant why, they said it was cause I used Expedia. I asked if they would match as it's $68.00 difference, got a solid nope. Then was manplained why Expedia wasn't good, and that all the cable channels suck.

The hotel and our room had an absolutely stunning view of the lake and the mountains. It is really one of the most beautiful pieces of scenery one can see. The balcony was a lovely place to sit and just simply look out. It made for a very tranquil morning coffee. The hotel itself is generally very well-maintained, but there are several areas that are showing definite signs of aging. The paint on parts of our balcony was flaking away and looked very splintery. I felt the need to be cautious around it when maneuvering around. This looked to be consistent across the entirety of the property. The TV in our room seemed to have continuous trouble connecting to channels and the picture quality was always a bit blurred. The entryway to the elevator by the indoor gardens had quite a few spiders that had taken over a significant area of the doorway and throughout the property there were a few lights in the hallways that were burned out or dimmed. While none of these things are anything I would consider major issues that would stop me from returning, they all do contribute to a feeling of the property being a bit "run down". The staff were excellent and took pleasure in helping. I can only say nice things about them. The room was comfortable and was well-laid out. The room and linens were clean and nothing was out of place. I am satisfied with my stay and I will absolutely come back, but I think the property could use a bit of love and care to really make it outstanding.

Spotted a spider in the washroom. Bathtub was chipped. The pics uploaded on the app of the room do not match. I would never recommend this property to anyone.

Rooms did not have A/C. Did not like the cleanliness of rooms and bathroom.

Staff was very friendly on check in and checkout and anytime i ran into them in the hotel. Room while a little dated was very clean and had everything i needed. Didn't notice the lack of ac as the provided fan was moremthan adequate. The only downside to my stay was that the people in rooms above me were very loud and i was near the stairs and could hear people clomping up and down them.

A very clean room that fully met our needs.

Expensive for what it was. Beds you could feel the springs, wasn't quite what was pictured online and the pool was filthy. Shower could not maintain a temperature and not much water. The rooms were clean though and the location was good.

It is very fancy, even if, as noted in other reviews, quite dated. Very clean though. Beds were comfy and we loved the balcony to finish the evening and then coffee in the morning. The only downside - you're right on the Trans Canada Highway, so if you have your window open (due to no air conditioning), you will hear the traffic all night long.

Be Prepared – the Walls Are Extremely Thin We stayed for two nights and, unfortunately, both nights we were placed next to young families. This led to two main issues: Noise Levels – Parents should be mindful and teach their children appropriate behavior, especially in shared spaces like hotels. Excessive noise early in the morning (5:30 am) made it difficult to relax or sleep. Outdated Facilities – The hotel is in serious need of renovations. The rooms feel stuck in the 1950s, and for a rate of $200 per night, guests should expect a more modern, comfortable, and soundproof environment. Overall, the stay was not as restful as it should have been.

The parking area was safe but a bit of a walk if you dont get in early. Snd the virw from our room was fantastic. No ac but the breeze off the lake was enough to keep the room cool there is ac in the halways though. Kids loved it here and so did we.

No AC or Wi-Fiz but great

Beautifully landscaped, clean, very pleasant and professional staff. No AC was a big no no as the temperature outside was hot and close proximity to the highway and train tracks. No AC, open windows to keep you cool, you know the rest. Outdated but very nice.

We loved our one night stay however for the price the amenities in the hotel is none to start no ac in room ( they had a table fan if needed) or not even a microwave so if u are staying for few days and have kids it’s hard to keep buying from one family diner they have. Else u have to go to the town everytime so pack well. The ventilation was bad in the bathrooms no exhaust fan and the door didn’t close was jammed.The bedding was clean but can refresh them for sure . It’s a comfortable stay for a night or 2 . Book in advance to get cheaper price I guess and pack well if with kids for food. Overall we will stay again but will book in advance so don’t have to pay 260$- 300$ for a night. Staff was amazing and ghost was a bonus . My kids enjoyed the lake and plus point is the balcony with every room.

This is a beautiful place, family friendly, with great staff, delicious food on site. No wi-fi (except im common areas) or clear tv, but with all there is to do, you wont miss it. I will definitely stay here again.

The lack of service in the restaurant . We went there at 5:45 pm and received a table right away but never received any service. The woman server was very rude and obviously overwhelmed. At 6:25 pm we left and drove to Revelstoke for a meal as we still had not even been acknowledged by our server( who walked by at least 50 times ) . Won’t be back for that reason .

That was a very interesting and beautiful property. Our room was lovely. Of course I’m sure you’ve heard many times that situated exactly next to the freeway is not the nicest way to sit by by the beach or relax on the balcony. We absolutely loved the Ghost Town. It was over the top highly recommend people staying there although the noise from the traffic is just something you have to expect and accept.

Three Valley Lake Chateau really surprised us for our first stay there. Driving past it most years we had finally decided to stay there as we had planned to hike in the area. Headed to it we were stuck in an accident delay and we were scared that we might not make it. I got a phone call from the front desk informing us that their restaurant was closed, and that with the delay they recommended grabbing food in Revy. Right there they had already won me over with a single call. We went with the loft room which was quite hot when we entered (30+) but cooled down as we left the windows and balcony door open to the fresh air. As they mentioned there is no Air conditioning but they did provide two fans. It makes sense since it's a seasonal hotel and that their electricity is generated through a hydro dam further up stream. The building has a lot of charm and history to it although there are a lot of upgrades that could be mentioned. (AC, WIFI etc.). There is also a highway and a train that can be heard. I doubt this is of issue to most people that want to escape the mountains to disconnect. There was a hole in the wall of our shower by the handle but the room was clean for the most part. Restaurant had good service but isn't anything to be wow'd by from my experience. I would definitely stay here again and explore the Ghost Town beside. It easily took us 5+ hours to walk through everything throughly at the town. Looking forward to getting out onto their lake for our next stay!

They tried to change the type of room I booked to a cheaper style room but still charge me the price of the room booked. When I asked for the type of room I booked and showed the confirmation the desk person but me in the worst room she had, in front of the stairs with two of the three walls next to the noisy halls. Its a beautiful hotel and space but I did not appreciate them trying to pull a fast one on me. My toddler was tired and having a hard time at the restaurant but with the limited hours we had to go eat and try to deal with him or not eat at all. Two separate waitresses were all over him, before we could. One threatened not to give him his food if he didn't sit down. Did not appreciate them not letting us deal with the situation. Having complete strangers scold him was not called for and it did not help the situation. Supper was expensive and not worth it, breakfast was good.

The staff were super friendly and attentive. Great service!

We liked our room and the view, appreciated the fan provided to offset the heat. When we went for dinner at 6 pm, we were told that, due to staff shortage, we’d have to wait 1/2 hour, but then take the chance that there would be room. They would not take our names to assure us seats if we returned, so that others who came after us, and chose to stand there, would be given preference. We do not consider this a fair service to hotel guests.

Safe -parking area. Beautiful scenery, fantastic lake view. Extremely friendly and obliging staff.

The setting is spectacular, it’s a bit “out of the way” but the views are glorious.

It’s right on lake have beach service good ghost town attached to hotel interesting to walk around right on hyw1 so quite noisy if you leave room window open

Ideal distance for an overnight stay enroute to Calgary from Vancouver. Iconic building on a quiet lake.

For one night stay it was great. It was along the highway and you can hear the noise from outside when you keep your balcony door open. There was no air-conditioning in the room so you'll have to open the back door but you'll hear the highway noise. The room was tight but good if you're just sleeping in. The view was great, mountain and lake view.

Beautiful spot, restaurant was a bit iffy

Meals were certainly not up to expectations, breakfasts cost $54. And the eggs were poorly cooked, hash browns undercooked, white toast had gobs of butter, looked like it was put on cold bread, pancakes hard to cut. Nope, certainly not served hot either.

We loved our stay, it was quaint, beautiful grounds, fun ghost town!, and soooo clean. There is no air conditioning but the room cooled perfectly at night and we didn't miss wifi at all. The only downside to the experience was the restaurant, the food was terrible - and you are a captive audience as it's the only place to eat for miles. They are really missing an opportunity to make that restaurant something special, and add to the experience - we would go back again to stay but wouldn't dine there.

Fantastic midstop Calgary- Osoyoos. As cool as it is, I wouldn't bother with the eatery.. Awesome old Ghost town museum is a bonus! Splendid back yard garden!

The location is the best thing here. The restaurant serves good, tasty food.

We had a great time overnighting at Three Valley. We stop in every time we travel by. We tour the museum every couple of years, but this was the first time we have ever spent the night. Front desk was great. Food was good however hours are a bit limited. We adjusted times to make sure we made it before they closed. We spent time enjoying the lake and the gardens. Nice landscaping and flowers. Very relaxing. Will definitely stay again.

Everything thing is good about this hotel. However the monashee restaurant, their food is not very tasty, and very expensive. The quality of the food ( salmon and the steak) which we tried does not worth the cost we paid. Other than this we loved the property and I can see much more improvement since the last time I was in.
