Front desk staff great. Accommodated guests who had early flights to catch. Provided a grab and go breakfast as we were too early for included buffet breakfast. Room was large and comfortable. Pub had wide variety on menu. Very close to airport. Reasonable rate.

Convenient pub dining on site with connection to beer and wine store from inside. Quiet. Clean room.Lobby smells nice. Near convenience stores for snacks and across from McDonald's should you want that. Pub food was excellent. Best fries ever! Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Very friendly staff, they welcomed our dogs and offered a really good service. The room is spacious and clean and the breakfast included in the price is really good. The pub attached to the hotel offers good food at fair prices and our dogs were also welcome in the patio. Recommended for families with dogs visiting Vancouver Island

Waddling dog was the epitome of old school charm. If you like old hunting lodges and European history, this place is for you. The staff were all lovely, waffles at breakfast and plenty of parking. The only small inconvenience was the slow elevator.

Room was nice. Food good in the pub. nice to have a beer and wine store on site. My only request would be the inside doors not be locked. I have an leg brace and had to navagate outside to find my way back in. Was not late so thought it was a bit strange

Or overall experience is excellent. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are so spacious and comfortable. Very close to a convenience store and gasoline station, just right at the side of the hotel less than a minute's walk. Very close to McDonald, just in front of the hotel. Also, the airport, waterport, and buchart gardens are both less than 10 minutes drive which is awesome. Their free breakfast was great. They have also a pub on the main floor for those who want to drink beer and wine before bead time. They don't have a swimming pool though.

The staff were great. The hotel itself is overpriced for a basic hotel, the breakfast was cold. It’s a great location for the airport or ferry and I think that’s why the price is so high. The attached restaurant is convenient, good but not great and also a little pricey compared to others we ate at on Vancouver island. A shuttle to the airport would have be an appreciated inclusion.

There is alwasy sketchy people yelling outside this hotel. They have updated the rooms, I enjoyed my room, BUT the rest of the hotel is not that nice, they only have ONE luggage cart for a 3 floor large hotel, and I told the lady I had an injury and if she can put me on bottom floor close to exit and she said no, put me third floor furthest room possible. The curly haired staff lady was unpleasant, when I asked about the luggage cart as it was a struggle to carry my things she just said if it's not there guess someone has it...... They should update a little more than just the rooms.

It was an average stay. Clean rooms The halls and lobby has a smelly odor permeating throughout ! Musty perhaps but nasty. Coffee in the lobby was weak. I would give it an overall score of 7.

The rooms are clean, but they only change bed sheets and made beds probably when you leave for good. During my stay they only changed toiletries if needed. No bed was made. Also, there is no sing or picther to get water, although the bathroom water tap has drinking water, it's a toilet room and salmonela could fly and thrive on the faucet, even at home. Not good. If they cannot install a sink, Im fine with a pitcher I can go and fill at the only water fountain by the reception. Or they could install other ones on each floor. The food is a 3 from 1 to 10. Other than that, no complains. Nice people and safe there.

Pleasantly surprised by this place. Large rooms, clean, quiet, strong and stable WiFi and more amenities. The bedding was spotless and very comfortable with lots of pillows to choose from. The front desk staff was very helpful and having a free breakfast was a plus. We will definitely be staying here again. The attached Pub had good food and drinks as well. Thank you for a great experience.

A cozy older hotel that was clean, quiet and comfortable. The wing back chairs were a treat to sit in, as most hotels have uncomfortable cheap seating in the room if there is any at all. I felt the price was a bit much, but it was close to Buchart Gardens where we were headed.

hotel was nice, clean and newly redone. Breakfast was good for a continental breakfast. Unfortunately it was really loud from 11:30 am until about 1 am. That was unfortunate. We talked to neighbours and then told front desk. It got a little bit better but still not great.

We arrived there one hour prior to check in time. The room we had reserved was ready so we were given the keys; we were immensely appreciative of that. Two nice neighborhood beach parks are 5-10 minutes walk away. My sister tripped and got injured during one of our outings and the front desk attendant was super nice in providing all the first aid supply we could have possibly needed. 10 minutes drive from Butchart Gardens. 3 minutes drive from a really cool farm stand and an additional couple minutes to island view park. 5 minutes drive from Sidney beach walk way. 15 minutes drive from Moses Point, a beach you will more than likely have all to yourself. 20 minutes drive from downtown Victoria.

Cool place, great rooms. Unfortunately the front desk clerk was rude and seemed miserable. Seemed like maybe she had had enough of bad customers over the years so now she's taking it out on the good customers.

We had a room booked and they double booked. Arrived to check in and were told that we didn’t have a room at 8:00 pm. All the hotels in Victoria were booked. No one bothered to phone us. It was an absolute disaster. The Waddling Dog was not helpful at all!

we chose this Inn because it was close to the ferry terminal, but were surprised with how nice it actually was. super cute and welcoming Inn. we were travelling with many suitcases so it was nice to have an elevator. the room we got looked remodelled, and everything just looked clean and well-maintained. the complimentary breakfast was a lovely bonus, and the food was pretty delicious. all in all, a lovely stay. we only stayed one night and were regretting not staying for longer.

I loved my stay here. The property was beautiful and you can tell they put effort in the smallest detail. Our room was clean and well air-conditioned. The hotel staff working the front desk were AMAZING. Super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was complimentary and they had a nice selection. The only uncomfortable moment was the woman working to maintain the breakfast area. She was rude to the gentleman working in the kitchen (my assumption). She then proceeded to be rude to myself and other guests making us feel like an inconvenience. BUT! With that being said it was truly worth the stay and I would book again.

Newly updated quiet room. Breakfast was great with lots of options. Enjoyed our stay. Only complaint was the restaurant attached was filthy and we sat in our booth for a very long time and no one served us at all in fact we came in and waited and then left without any staff even acknowledging us. So that was unfortunate otherwise over all the hotel stay was great!

Breakfast was excellent; Staff are kind and considerate; Room is clean and heater/AC is quiet. Only one tiny drawback, parking spaces in tge front. Just not enough. Otherwise, everything was a 5 star rating. Thank you.
