The Senator Hotel is the best place to stay in Timmins, i’ve been staying at Senator Hotel many times the rooms is always clean and the staff are very friendly welcoming plus I like the parking underneath the east swing side also it has a gate to enter to the parking lot which is good and my truck is always secured and safe and the breakfast is good so I am definitely gonna stay at Senator next time again.

Would not stay here again- you have to park in an open lot down the street passing people on drugs- very scary especially for a woman walking alone.

There was a bit of a language barrier, when I signed in. The desk attendant seemed to be very surprised that I had a dog. Initially, she seemed to be saying that they did not allow dogs at all, even though the search on Hotels.Com said that they were pet friendly and that service animals were exempt from fees. Our Small Dog.(a cockapoo.) is a registered service dog. She checked with her supervisor and finally allowed the dog. There was puke in the elevator and had been tracked down the hallway on the second floor, where our room was. It smelled and stunk terribly. I went back downstairs and told the lady behind the desk. She said that she would have it taken care of right away. It was still there in the morning when I took my dog out for a walk. They were footprints on the carpet, going down the hallway, that were obviously right from the puke in the elevator.

Older hotel that seems to be undergoing renovation, but seems there is way to go. The parking is inconvenient, but the staff are very helpful and there was a fairly decent breakfast.
