This property needs to update its key system- it's difficult to enter the rooms because the keycards do not work well. Staff _warned_ me keycards do not work well, I witnessed _other_ patrons having difficulty also, and when I stayed at this same property nearly a decade ago they did not work well either (actually required assistance to enter the room from staff). You must repeatedly insert and jostle the keycard for it to work. The light turning green is not enough, it has to stay green long enough to release the lock. I did not leave the property after getting all of my items into the room to get dinner for this reason. I had to get in twice as is, wasn't sure I'd be able to the second time. The rooms are clean and reasonable for the price; air conditioning works very well and the water pressure for showers is great. My room would have benefited from some repairs to architectural features, but was otherwise serviceable. One of the towels seemed less than clean. The bed was comfortable.

We had to continue to go to the office (4x) because our room key stopped working. Apparently, this is a common issue at this location because there were several others that were dealing with the same issue. The ice/vending machine room smelled so badly, almost as if the filter was about 150 years old or there was a dead animal inside of it. Watch out for the ginormous rat traps that are outside of every other hotel room door. Be sure to check out the dilapidated grill while you're there or the picnic tables that are chained to a tree.

The price was good for a 6 hour over night stay but it was run down and noisy. There was no front desk staff when we got there and had to call a cell phone. Waited 10 or 15 mins to check in. Check in was quick, we had a reservation.

TV didn’t work. After dinner and shopping came back to room to find a barely alive baby rat in the middle of the floor. Went to front desk and they offer me rat traps for my room. Unreal, ask for a refund and they tried to say no. Signed the refund slip and the next day at 11:30am they tried to charge my credit card fraudulently and unauthorized!! Please save yourself and stay away from here at all cost!!!

My room was musty smelling. The security latch was broken and couldn’t be used. Had to return my key to reprogrammed because it wouldn’t open the door. I will choose a different hotel chain in the future!

The room keys had to be reprogrammed 3 times until they finally worked. Manager was very helpful. Upon entering the room there was a very strong smell that seemed to be cleaning agents attempting to cover up smoke. Found an empty soda bottle and candy wrappers under the bed. Leather chair in the corner was grimy and sticky. Bathroom area was clean, but towels were very worn and need to be replaced. Air conditioning unit stayed cool, but was very loud. Overall, I didn't expect a luxurious experience for the price, but these are simple things that can be addressed.

Positive: It was next to a great Mexican restaurant. Negative: it took me two times to go back to the front desk because the door would not open. Seems like no big deal, but when tired from an all day tournament the last thing I wanted to do was battle the door. Finally, I asked the front desk to walk back with me on the third time to open my door. He had a hard time. Finally he opened it, and told me when I leave the room to close the handle a certain way because it was “broken “. I walked out of my room to see a friend, opened the door and there was a man in the room attempting to fix my door. I refused to stay in that room. They refunded me the next day. The rooms smell like smoke ( even though it’s no smoking). Never again!

Room smelled like cigarettes. Flies in the room. Bathtub had a large hole around the drain. I wonder where the water went? Electric outlets were covered up, therefore unusable. Outside the hotel very dirty. Liter everywhere.

Trash in the outside hallway, fried chicken bones and such, furniture in the room had holes in the seat materials and there was a dead bird on the sidewalk outside the rental office. I debated on cancelling and going elsewhere, but 2 nearby places we called were sold out. 2nd floor room was very hot when we arrived, but we ran the AC wide open and went for dinner and it was cooler when we returned. NOT VERY NICE.

It stunk when you walked in water from refrigerator leaking. Rolled wet towel in bottom of frig. Informed office, came in dried with towel. Left filthy towel on floor. Rugs were wet. Couldn’t walk in your stocking feet. Leaked again next day. Came back from funeral, wet all over floor again. Towels were thread bare. Rat traps outside between the rooms on the sidewalk. Went to check out early at 7:30 in morning a sign on the door saying they would open at 10:00 a.m. I made a complaint when we returned to cooperate. He returned 40.00 but then turned around and charged our card 100.00. Don’t know why unless it was out of spite. If I could rate this hotel a quarter star I would. I have stayed in many hotels and this is worst one I have EVER stayed in. Steer clear of this one!

Red Roof Inn in Aberdeen, MD is one place to avoid at all costs. The majority of rooms seem to be long term residents. Our first indication that this was not going to be a nice place to stay was the police car parked outside. There were childing wandering around without supervision (one with a BB gun shooting at light poles). Residents were playing loud music in their cars. Piles of trash were found all over the place. The room labeled non-smoking was clearly a smoking room at one time. The 2nd floor ceiling was poorly repaired where water probably damaged the ceiling. The absolute worst part that no one wants to experience is the cleanliness of the bed. All sheets were soiled and stained!! The bedding was clearly not washed before our stay! The sheets and pillows were riddled with holes. Bottom line, it was disgusting!! Do not stay here.

Front desk person was rude and unprofessional. The lobby smelled awful. The room had a an unpleasant mildew type odor that became worse when we turned on the AC. The bed sheets had stains and appeared to be unwashed. The walkways and stairs were dirty and unkept.

It was a small clean room. Bathroom very small but had nice shower. Fridge worked and even a safe in room. Only complaint was no in room coffee maker. Good for a night's stay during a long travel.

This property charged my credit card $100 after I had paid for my stay with Expedia. I even checked out before the next morning.. When I asked receptionist why the extra charges was taken out of my credit card, the answer was that the charges was for smoking.. I have never smoked in my entire life, so why not admit that you stole my money…. This happened after they made me sign a paper for no smoking the room and I told him I do not smoke and he said just sign it.

A surly Asian Indian (do they run ALL the low priced budget motels?) failed to greet my reserved arrival, challenging me to provide my credit card and ID. He as much threw the badly stained packet of key cards at me (the key cards only worked by sticking them in and out over and over again, some told me after I had to ask as if EVERYONE knows that). The room was tiny. As was the TV. There was a fly, but no fly swatter. There were only 2 electrical outlets, one that didn't work. The other I had to hunt for, beneath the compact refrigerator. There was no pad of paper or writing utensil. When I asked the manager fo borrow a pencil you would think I asked for gold. I will never ever stay at any Red Roof after this horrid experience and I urge no one reading this to go to this location in Aberdeen!!

First the heater didn’t work It spewed out cold air But the worst thing: at check in the clerk asked us to give the deposit in cash I had never had this before but my partner gave him the cash On the last morning we went to the office about 6:45 am to get our deposit back as we were leaving At first no one was there My partner yelled for service several times came out to tell me no one was there and then went in and yelled again I went in and suggested I call She went outside to see At that moment the clerk came out asking was that you yelling? I said yes No apology for not being at the desk he just made me feel like we were a pain Then we asked him for the 100 He said there was no record that we had left cash I suggest he call the clerk that was on when we checked in He kept sorting through things and finally found the record He never said he found it but we could see the paperwork in his hand He never apologized for the wait He told us to sit down My partner didn’t want to sit down he told her a few times to sit down I said maybe she doesn’t want to sit But she did sit down He said he would be right back my partner asked how long would it take because we were in a hurry He said you can leave right now! At that point I lost it and said you guys screwed up so you don’t have to have attitude He said I didn’t give any attitude I have to check the room and then said something about sitting down again (we were both sitting down)

The owner who was at the front desk was completely unprofessional and out of line in every way. The owner said he had every right to charge my card at 3pm on the dot instead of waiting til I got there. He was easy and quick to cancel my reservation as soon as I asked why my card was charged before I arrived. I still have not received my refund. I would never recommend ANYONE to stay at that hotel EVER!!!!!

When i observed the property from Travelocity's website, it appeared appetizing for the price. When i arrived , the hotel receptionist was actually presentable and respectable. But when i went to the room, there was hair in the sink , bugs in the room, and worst of all, a clogged toilet with feces in it. I contacted the front desk receptionist . He stated that someone would rectify the matter , however , no one arrived . I departed after an hour.

I stayed with my son for a Ripken tournament, so it wasn't a big deal, but if I had brought my wife--we would have been divorced. The room smelled of mothballs and mustiness. It was a super convenient location for Ripken--a short four minute drive. There were other hotels just as convenient, so next time I will look at those.

Convenient location right off the 95 interstate. Plenty of necessities around (food, gas, Target, supermarket, Walgreens). The room was small and basic but clean and cozy. The room came with a refrigerator and microwave (I didn't use/need the microwave, but the fridge came in handy for sodas and leftover food from a nearby restaurant). The property felt safe and there were cameras in the outside stairway area. It looked like people might live here fulltime, normally I avoid those types of hotels, but this one managed that well - people weren't hanging around outside, the parking lot was quiet and the area well lit and safe. I stayed here for 3-nights while the furnace in my house was replaced. I would definitely stay here again if the need should ever arise. For $60 a night (including tax), it was a total value.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was. The staff was very nice and filled my two requests while I was there. We were not in our room much as we were in town for an event that took up most of our two days. I will admit I did not particularly like the atmosphere outside of the hotel and became very "lively" at night but for the price the room served its purpose.
