Hampton Inn & Suites Munster

Elevator was in operable one nite. But still stayed. Elevator tech repaired elevator next day !

We always stay at Hilton/Hampton properties, they are always consitant in quaility. They hotel was clean and quiet, with a good location and free parking.

Loved the pool and hot tub!

We stayed 4 nights and chose this hotel because of the breakfast, pool, and hot tub. The hot tub was closed for our last 2 days. Very disappointed.

It was a great stay overall. It was an easy drive into Chicago and took us less than an hour to get there. The elevator made some funny noises, which was a little worrisome, but overall was good. The rooms were clean. The staff was nice. The breakfast was okay. The pool and hot tub were relaxing. There was a dirty diaper on the pool deck and lacked pool towels the first night of our stay. I blame the guest who left the diaper there. I would stay again.

No towels in pool area sucks

Everything was perfect. I started 2 nights my room was very clean, bed was comfortable. I had the king suite and was very roomy. I took advantage of the whirlpool and pool doing my stay. The breakfast was a great addition to all the many amenities Hampton Inn offer. I would definitely visit again real soon

The hotel is clean, comfortable and located close to stores and restaurants if you need either. The room was comfortable, as were the beds and pillows. Nice hot shower and bath. Second day shower was later and didn’t have as good a stream from the shower head but still warm and felt good. Loved the grab bar in the shower! My wife is a bit clumsy and it helps to prevent any accidents. We were visiting family for the holiday, so we didn’t really use the pool or hot tub. The pool looked nice and several Families did use it during our stay. We used the gym which looked out on the pool area. Nice gym, two bikes, elliptical, treadmill, weights and a mat plus ball. The treadmill was out of service. The hot tub looked cloudy, not sure if the jets worked. Personnel were very nice from check in to housekeeping and kitchen staff. Breakfast was fine, the usual tasted good. Would stay again! The area felt safe.

Hot tub was not working properly. The Jets were extremely poor no bubbles. The water was warm and it was clean, but I hope they fix the pumps for the hot tub. I plan to be a return customer!

This hotel was not a good choice. Didn’t even get to see the room or anything past the front desk because their pool was closed. There was nothing on the site to state that or i would never have booked that hotel. Got to the place just to find out AFTER CHECKING IN the pool was closed. I cancelled my reservation and requested a refund immediately because that was the whole purpose of my stay!

Room smelled like old smoke and whatever was used to cover it up. Fridge was so loud we had to unplug it to sleep. People were nice. Breakfast was good.

The location was convenient for being out of town. The room itself had a horrible smell and simply looking at the sheets once the top cover was changed on the bed one would see the multiple stains, which was disgusting.

I am not hard on hotels but when I get there the first night and see a dried moth on the wall, my sheets were stained and I killed some bugs crawling by my bed that is not a good start. I tried to remove the moth, advised the front desk about the sheets and bugs. They changed the sheets, never came to remove the dead moth or did a thing about the bugs. I had to be there 5 days so I was like ok. Next day my mother goes to make her coffee in the room and behold another bug in her coffee. I told someone else at the frint desk and she seemed so concerned and said someone would talk to me...never happened. It is sad when I pay for a room for 5 nights, have the ussues I had and no one addressed it as I was advised they would. I will be filing a complaint . It is sad because I had a lot of family that I had book over the Thanksgiving weekend so yes we spent a nice amount of money, but after this episode when we do decide to meet up for the next family affair, it will not be with a Hampton Inn. Very disappointed, but thanks to the one hiusekeeper who came and changed the stained sheets she was quick and efficient.

My stay was good! But I moved the couch and it was crumbs all behind there. Other than that it was nice

Moldy shower curtain, shower drain did not flow. Water in tub during shower, noisy tub floor while taking shower and rooms were not ready even after checking in after designated check in time period.

Very clean and loved the breakfast!

I will not be returning to this hotel. I discovered a bed bug the next morning crawling off the top of my covers. I begin itching and now I have multiple bites on my arms. Better me then my son but I will not be returning

Nice place! Clean and comfortable!

We chose this hotel for the pool and hot tub and it did not disappoint in those areas! The pool goes from 3ft to 5ft which was great since we have children who are aged 6-17. The hot tub was the perfect temp and was a nice size with a 8 person max capacity although we had 8 in it with plenty of room to spare. There weren’t any pool towels in the area but it wasn’t a big deal to go to the desk and ask for some. We booked 2 queen suites and upon checkin at 3:30, they only had rooms available for us on 2 separate floors. Inconvenient but again, not a big deal. The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was from 6am-10am and had waffles (self made), cereal, Oranges, bananas, apples, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, bagels topped with eggs cheese and bacon, muffins, bagels, toast, and juice. Basically a little something for everyone. It wasn’t the best hotel breakfast but it wasn’t the worst. Now to the reasoning behind the mid review. The only thing that I would say was negative about this stay were the beds, which is a big deal since you’re essentially paying to sleep there. The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. The wooden frames that the mattresses sit on squeaked and rattled with every little move made so it was hard for my husband and I to sleep but the kids slept just fine.

I stayed in room 128. The mattress is shot, very uncomfortable.lIt has a very big bowin the middle. The pillows were also worn out need replacement. The handle in the shower that changes the water from the showerhead to the handheld showerhead was broken did not work. I had to take a shower with both of them going at the same time water all over the floor. The entire staff were impeccable, friendly, respectful, .3 am I had a craving for milk. Went to the front desk and they went in the back and gave me a cup of milk. I would’ve given this review five stars the Matress I couldn’t sleep at all hurt my back pillows were completely worn out horrible sleeping experience in the bed. The staff was impeccable every single staff member I met from the building engineer to morning afternoon And Night staff fantastic so friendly.

Property was good, clean but the rooms were noisy. You could hear everything in the hallway and in the rooms next door and above.

We had a quick overnight stay at this hotel. It was an easy check in process and the room was nice and spacious. The breakfast was amazing. The only complaint was the bed uncomfortable.

Overall it was a good stay. I usually don't have issues with this Hampton Inn location. The digital key was working. There are locations that I go to and they don't even work at all. The front desk was very friendly and check in was very smooth. The only issue that I had was that the mirror on the sliding glass door in our suite was broken at the bottom. I did notify the front and desk through the text message that they sent to check in. Wasn't sure about the housekeeping schedule so I opted just to put the tag out for the whole weekend. But overall I'll continue to come back to this location

No microwave in the room

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept in.

There were no glasses or cups in the room. There wasn't a hair dryer in the room. I usually bring my own but there is always one in every other hotel we stay in so this time I left mine home. Mistake! The faucet in the bathroom was loose and difficult to turn off and on. Otherwise we like the Hampton and have stayed in this particular one a number of times.

Slow sink drain. Issue with Tv , but was resolved. My Room was near elevator and was noisy.

Rooms were not ready at check in time. Waited an hour for one room and the other wasn’t ready until after we came back from dinner. Staff was helpful and apologetic but too few to ready all the rooms. Ownership and management should review their plans.

Don’t like that they do room service every other day. Something was spilled in the elevator and they just put a wet sign and left it there for hours. Took forever to check in because nobody was at the desk.

After a long drive to IN from AZ, we were tired. The desk staff checked us in - were exceptionally friendly and helpful and helped us to try and straighten out a computer PROBLEM created through HOTELS.COM website repeated crashing when registering..They (Munster Hampton Inn staff) have been gracious and informative. I wish all hotels and motels were as well run and clean as this one. Now if only Hotels.com gets their act together. If you are in this area ... STAY HERE!!!

My stay here was very nice and comfortable. For starters, the manager (Joseph) allowed me an early check in at no cost which was amazing! There was an issue with the lock on my room door, so I called the desk and Joseph came down right away to fix it. I also witnessed him go above and beyond for a disabled customer and I thought that showed great character in him. He seems like a nice down to earth guy. All the staff I encountered was nice and very attentive. The room was nice and clean, and I loved the shower head! Very quiet at night which allowed for a peaceful stay. The vicinity seemed safe when I went out to my car at night as well. I would book here again!

The service was less than desirable, and breakfast was not ready until almost 7AM despite a 6AM start and the breakfast was very cold. The attendant was unkept and did not have her hair away from the food, as it appeared very unbrushed and not pulled back. Housekeeping knocked on our door 3x before 945AM and checkout was not until 11AM. I had to continue to answer the door despite being undressed and not ready. We were only in town overnight for a funeral so we did not have to stay and we did not speak to our concerns. This hotel is great but the staff could use a good uptraining on best practices.

First of all O called for an early check in it was geanted for 1-2 Awesome got there 2:30. Waited for my husband because I had wrong card for incidentals 10 mins. He comes she gives key to room 307 I opened room someone else's room I ho back downstairs to desk looks at me and say something wrong. I tell her she automatically gets on radio. Gives me ieys to 312 okay. I get in last night at midnight my husband calls for late checkout for 1 granted at 10 am someone bang8ng on door yelling housekeeping my husband says late checkout. But th3 problem I have even if we didn't have a late checkout why would anyone be banging on door checkout is 11am. Then she comes back after 46 mins when I opened door sge said sorry sorry again

My husband left a shirt hanging in the closet. The staff called me within 2 hours of check-out telling me about the item. It was kept for me and I had a family member pick it up the next day. Not all hotels would do that. I really appreciated their extra efforts to connect me with the lost item. I will remember that next time I need to make over-night arrangements.

My family stayed here for New Year’s Eve and had no complaints. Everything was on point cleanliness, quiet, conveniently near a variety of shopping centers and restaurants.

I've stayed at this hotel before. I had no problems checking in. Able to use digital key. Breakfast is included and it's reasonable. The hotel is near highway entrance. Targets, Walgreens, Jewell stores are nearby. Plenty of near restaurants to choose from.

Amanda was amazing and my check-in was great. The housekeepers were very friendly only issue was breakfast lady. She stared at us like we was a problem and was rude to my children. We checked out and the lady that checked us out called me cause one of my twins left headphones in the room. I came back to get them. Our stay was great but the breakfast lady.

It’s one of the best we have stayed at 😊 Breakfast was delicious and front desk clerks were very helpful with our needs.

The free breakfast was totally unsatisfactory due to a cold egg omelet which I had to wait for. There was no decaf coffee. They could do much better!!

Wonderful experience at the charming Hampton Inn. Everything was very clean and well taken of. The breakfast had tons of delicious and healthy options!

This hotel was good nothing too much spectacular about it. The breakfast was okay not many choices. The staff were friendly. I’ve been too way better with better amenities but again it wasn’t too bad..7/10..
