When we arrived, we were told the restaurant was fully booked and it would not be possible to have dinner on site. We were not given the option for room service either. After driving for 6 hours, we had to then go find food. The hotel advertises two restaurants, but neither were available. The next morning, there was no hot water for showers. We were not given an explanation or an apology. Some of the worst management I have ever seen.

Lidt en tidslomme, der bragte minder tilbage til busrejser i 90´erne. Trænger lidt til en update, men mere en hovedrengøring. Hygiejne i morgenbuffet kunne også opgraderes (f.eks klæde omkring det brød man selv skal skærer, håndsprit) Men tænker lidt at hotelles drives som man altid har gjort, og derfor ikke har tænkt så mange nye tiltag ind i det. Men alt i alt så var sengetøjet rent og vi var trætte efter en lang køretur, så derfor kun 4 ud af 5. Det ligger dejligt nemt i forhold til motorvej.

Eerst werden we in een kamer geplaatst waar het dakraam kapot was, de kamer was goor en niet schoongemaakt. Aan de receptie gevraagd voor een nieuwe kamer. Deze gekregen, deze was wat schoner maar ook super gedateerd. Luidruchtige kamer omgeving. Je hoort de trein voorbij komen en alle hangjongeren die rondom het Twente stadion staan. Nacht 2 is 3 keer onnodig het brandalarm afgegaan. Personeel wist niet wat ze moesten doen. Manager deed niks en het bedrijf van het alarm systeem wisten ook niet wat ze moesten doen. Mijn verloofde heeft NK atletiek dit weekend en daarom zijn wij hier, hij heeft zich nu moeten afmelden omdat wij vreselijke nachten hebben gehad. Je traint hier jaren voor en het wordt zo van je afgepakt. We moesten ook gewoon voor 11 uur de kamer uit. We mochten niet even bij slapen of iets. Boek hier niet!!!

Zimmer sollte dringend renoviert werden - besonders das Bad: Schimmel in der Dusche und schmutzige, schimmelige Fugen. Sessel gehört dringend ausgetauscht- Bezug total zerfetzt. Wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt!

Das Zimmer war nicht wie angegeben ausgestattet. Das zweite Doppelbett war eine ausklappbare Couch. Die Sockelleisten fielen schon von der Wand und die Wände sahen auch nicht sauber aus. Überall Verfärbungen, Spinnenweben und Krabbeltiere. Der Fußboden war dreckig und zum Teil lagen Essenreste unter dem Tisch. Im Bad waren schon Schimmelflecken zu erkennen. Zudem ist vor dem Hotel ein Teich, was an sich sehr schön ist, aber die Fenster haben keine Fliegengitter und somit war ein öffnen in der Nacht nicht möglich ohne das extrem viele Mücken und Fliegen hereinkommen. Bei Temperaturen über 25Grad mit 4 Personen in einem Raum macht es das schlafen unerträglich bzw. unmöglich. Bei Problemen in der Nacht (3x nacheinander Fehlalarm), wollte man mit dem Personal sprechen und wurde ignoriert und stattdessen wurde mit den Gästen gesprochen die die Landessprache sprechen. Das Frühstück haben wir dann gar nicht mehr ausprobiert.

Für den bezahlten Preis hätte ich wirklich was sauberes erwartet. Staubfäden in vielen Ecken. Eine Kaffeemaschine die nicht funktioniert. Ein Badezimmer das Mängel aufweist. … Ein Vorteil ist das es an dem besuchten Tag ein sehr ruhiges Zimmer war.

Ontvangst prima, ontbijtbuffet voldoende. Comfortkamer ruim, heerlijke bedden, alles was er. Alleen 2 ramen op zeer korte afstand van buren. De badkamer kan een update gebruiken: heel veel kalkaanslag en kranen daardoor moeilijk te bedienen.

Badkamer was duidelijk niet schoongemaakt (vieze vlek in bad en shampoo flesje van vorige gast lag nog in de douche), kreeg nieuwe kamer maar die kon ik ook zelf ontdoen van stof op nachtkastjes, bureau etc.

De Broeierd is a beautiful, large old farmhouse built into an interesting and very cozy hotel with a very good restaurant at one end and a lovely "bistro" at the other end. Large outdoor seating areas add to the comfort. The rooms (we had two-level rooms with balconies) are spacious and comfortable, beds very comfortable, but you should be able to climb the typically Dutch steep narrow stairs up to the sleeping area. Our rooms had a few minor glitches (door alarm started beeping intermittently for no reason, shower could have been cleaner), but all in all we loved our stay here (3 nights) and would definitely come back. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

Pro’s • Nice continental breakfast • Rooms are spacious, especially for longer travel periods Con’s • The bathroom doesn’t have any handsoap - when asking for handsoap I was initially asked if there was a dispenser next to the zink, meaning body and hair shampoo dispenser. There was no dispenser and Iwas giving hair shampoo and when I returned it the answer was, quote “ it is the only thing we got • Majority of receptionists (part from one very friendly and smiling young woman) were rude in their appearence and did not really seem to bother about giving any (good) service • Some of the beds are worn out, so you lay in u-shaped madrass • The brasserie is sold as a highend experience when the only highend and fresh is the potatoes. Service was pretty much non-existing and when it was there it was quite rushed. The fish was not fresh, but probably from freezer, the vegetables was deadly cooked, the salat came from a pre-chopped bag adm the only vanilla the vanilla icecresm had seen was a can of flavoured vanilla. Not to mention, when you order mixted ice cream, you expect different flavours, but I got 3 vanillas

La habitación era comoda. El personal amigable y cortes. La estacion de bus esta a 200 mts caminando muy conveniente. Se encuentra a 20 minutos caminando de la Universidad de Twente y del estadio de fútbol. El restaurante esta bien la cocina cierra a las 9:00pm y no hay nada cerca para comer, tienen poco personal por lo que hay que tener algo de peciencia. Las habitaciones no tienen aire acondicionado por lo tanto hay que tenerlo en cuenta para su viaje.
La habitación era comoda. El personal amigable y cortes. La estacion de bus esta a 200 mts caminando muy conveniente. Deze gekregen, deze was wat schoner maar ook super gedateerd. Luidruchtige kamer omgeving. Je hoort de trein voorbij komen en alle hangjongeren die rondom het Twente stadion staan. Nacht 2 is 3 keer onnodig het brandalarm afgegaan. Personeel wist niet wat ze moesten doen. Manager deed niks en het bedrijf van het alarm systeem wisten ook niet wat ze moesten doen. Pro’s • Nice continental breakfast • Rooms are spacious, especially for longer travel periods Con’s • The bathroom doesn’t have any handsoap - when asking for handsoap I was initially asked if there was a dispenser next to the zink, meaning body and hair shampoo dispenser. There was no dispenser and Iwas giving hair shampoo and when I returned it the answer was, quote “ it is the only thing we got • Majority of receptionists (part from one very friendly and smiling young woman) were rude in their appearence and did not really seem to bother about giving any (good) service • Some of the beds are worn out, so you lay in u-shaped madrass • The brasserie is sold as a highend experience when the only highend and fresh is the potatoes. Service was pretty much non-existing and when it was there it was quite rushed. The fish was not fresh, but probably from freezer, the vegetables was deadly cooked, the salat came from a pre-chopped bag adm the only vanilla the vanilla icecresm had seen was a can of flavoured vanilla. Not to mention, when you order mixted ice cream, you expect different flavours, but I got 3 vanillas

La habitación era comoda. El personal amigable y cortes. La estacion de bus esta a 200 mts caminando muy conveniente. Se encuentra a 20 minutos caminando de la Universidad de Twente y del estadio de fútbol. El restaurante esta bien la cocina cierra a las 9:00pm y no hay nada cerca para comer, tienen poco personal por lo que hay que tener algo de peciencia. Las habitaciones no tienen aire acondicionado por lo tanto hay que tenerlo en cuenta para su viaje.

Het personeel in de bediening van het restaurant slecht en onervaren. Het duurde ook ontzettend lang voordat we onze bestelling kregen. En dan ook nog niet het juiste krijgen. En er was heel veel niet aanwezig qua drankjes. Erg teleurstellend.

When we arrived, we were told the restaurant was fully booked and it would not be possible to have dinner on site. We were not given the option for room service either. After driving for 6 hours, we had to then go find food. The hotel advertises two restaurants, but neither were available. The next morning, there was no hot water for showers. We were not given an explanation or an apology. Some of the worst management I have ever seen.

Lidt en tidslomme, der bragte minder tilbage til busrejser i 90´erne. Trænger lidt til en update, men mere en hovedrengøring. Hygiejne i morgenbuffet kunne også opgraderes (f.eks klæde omkring det brød man selv skal skærer, håndsprit) Men tænker lidt at hotelles drives som man altid har gjort, og derfor ikke har tænkt så mange nye tiltag ind i det. Men alt i alt så var sengetøjet rent og vi var trætte efter en lang køretur, så derfor kun 4 ud af 5. Det ligger dejligt nemt i forhold til motorvej.

De Broeierd is a beautiful, large old farmhouse built into an interesting and very cozy hotel with a very good restaurant at one end and a lovely "bistro" at the other end. Large outdoor seating areas add to the comfort. The rooms (we had two-level rooms with balconies) are spacious and comfortable, beds very comfortable, but you should be able to climb the typically Dutch steep narrow stairs up to the sleeping area. Our rooms had a few minor glitches (door alarm started beeping intermittently for no reason, shower could have been cleaner), but all in all we loved our stay here (3 nights) and would definitely come back. Staff was very friendly and helpful as well.
