The breakfast buffet was quite good. The location was safe and had a lot of dining options. There were a few renovations going on in the hotel that time. Despite this, our hotel stay was still quite comfortable.

Wet good place to stay. They were presently undergoing much-needed updates to an older hotel, but the updates will make a difference to the hotel appearance and quality. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was good.

We only stayed one night, and i would stay again in a heartbeat. The rooms were totally refurbished, clean and sleek. The bed was comfortable. The entire property was spotless and the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved that they had fresh coffee, tea and hot chocolate available all the time. We did not have the breakfast there, so I can't comment on that. Free parking was a plus and an Uber was about $7.00 one way to downtown Portsmouth. That was a deal considering parking in Portsmouth could cost more than that, and the hotels downtown Portsmouth charge an additional $40 to park per day. I'll be back for sure!

We picked this property specifically because they offered a shuttle in a 10 mile radius according to Expedia website. We intended to use this to get to the downtown area of Portsmouth. Upon check-in, we were told they no longer have a shuttle. When I went to the room, I discovered the king bed I paid for 8 months ago was instead two double beds with no couch. The front desk staff was very sweet and explained if booked on Expedia, there is no guarantee and that Marriott members have priority over room selection. 30 minutes later, they were able to put us in the room we booked. If I come back to the area, I’ll stay downtown since I will now have to pay for parking or an Uber to go there now.

The service was excellent and all attendants were polite and helpful. The location was convenient to travels we had to downtown and into Maine However, we found our room extremely damp and having dark spots on ceiling. The staff said it was the air conditioning overworking. Our clothes felt damp and paper products as well. If that did not happen, it would have an ideal spot. We were a first floor room.

The room I had on the 4th floor, 409 was very quiet. Renovated and clean. Comfortable firm bed and good pillows. I also liked that I could turn of the HVAC system and crack the window. The breakfast choices were also excellent.

One night get away.. check in was good, parking good. Room was nice at first look until we realize there was no phone and no alarm clock. When we inquired at the front desk, we were not given an answer until this morning when we were told there was a problem with the wiring in the room, which is why there was no phone and no alarm clock. So we asked why were they still using that room if it didn’t have all services and couldn’t be given an answer it was very uncomfortable with the fact that there was no phone to reach the front desk. You can reserve a room with 2 beds 14 weeks in advance and still find, after checking in, that it has only one. The clerk first blamed Expedia, then "the day people"; then, in great frustration aimed at me, he told me to see the manager in the morning. I think it was his responsibility to let the manager know--so that some kind of adjustment, like a partial refund, could be made. Otherwise, the motel is, well, meh.

I got here to check in and the person at the front desk was on the phone. Didn’t acknowledge that I was even here. Had to wait awhile before I asked if anyone could help me. Normally if someone is on the phone they should at least say something. At least I only am staying one night but disappointing service.

Area was convenient to downtown dining, shopping and wakable (slightly over a mile) from the hotel. Also, the complimentary breakfast was above our expectations . . . variety of hot and cold items. All of the staff members were friendly and very helpful.
