Bay Front Inn

Comfortable beds, pool is heated, towels were not the most absorbent, but we're new, tv and cable worked great, shower stall was extremely small, nice shampoo/conditioner, larger size refrigerator, microwave and a keurig, lampshade had stains, room was a little noisy with street traffic on the backside but overall a nice stay. We were amazed at how close the wharf and boardwalk was! It's like a 6 minute walk, closer than you'd think! There's no breakfast served here but there is a cash only market across the street that has several breakfast burritos and we got the banana packets. Large portions! You can order on door dash and pick up if you don't have cash. Our biggest concern is that the parking is non existent. There's like 140 rooms and 40 spaces. Bring quarters for the pay meters or you can park in limited day use, 8M to 8pm pay parking. Between 8pm and 8am, it's free.

The room was located in a dirty back hallway of the hotel. Inside the room there was an open wall outlet box with no cover, the table lamp was unplugged and had no light bulb in it nor did the power in the wall outlet work (probably why the lamp was not plugged in). The blinds on the window were broken and you could not open them. The flooring in the closet was unfinished and there was a close shelf leaned up against the wall. The door to the bathroom was falling off the hinges and dragging along the floor when you opened it. The wall in the bathroom next to the sink also had holes in it. I got my kids ready to take to the swimming pool and when we got there the pool was extremely dirty with debris, bird feathers and the inside pool walls were covered in some sort of algae. There was also insufficient parking spaces for this hotel, I was forced to pay for parking on the street or drive to a nearby paid parking lot when this hotel states that it has parking included. For specifying that I would be staying in this room with my wife and two small children I felt very unsafe for them to be in this room, not to mention the costly price for staying at this hotel on a normal summer weekend.

Parking is a huge hassle because there aren’t enough spaces. Luckily most things are walkable if you are able to park in the lot, otherwise everything is paid or metered on the street.

Parking is always full, barhroom door and front foor hard to open

Only one working plug in the room (the one on the lamp doesn’t work and is loose), only one small roll of toilet paper, and worse is limited parking. You are not guaranteed a spot, which I didn’t know so when I arrived and was told, I had to change my plans to not leave or lose my spot. My son came late at night and luckily found a street spot two blocks away. Parking around hotel is limited, a lot of restrictions. Curtain in the room does not close completely in the center so you are hit with the parking lights all night. One pillow case had a yellow stain on it.

Checked late, no parking available. Park the car across the parking park and got a ticket. Will not return.

Need more parking spot

The check in was easy, not far from the beach. This is a hotel that let's you bring your pets, that is why we stayed here..

Location was perfect. Room was clean. Parking was an issue. Very few spots but they did tell me street parking was free overnight.

There’s a VERY LIMITED parking by this hotel. If you’re considering booking a room here, keep in mind that MOST LIKELY they won’t have a spot for your car. Be prepared to drive around for up to an hour looking for street parking in a very busy area and pay for it, which means that even if you find a spot, you won’t be able to move your car anymore because someone else will park there right away.

The shower wall had mold and on one side of the room it smelled like dead rat

I would not stay here again. The room was very dirty and my kids feet were black from walking barefoot on the floors. The worst part of all was that the bathroom smelled like sewage and the toilet wouldn’t flush and when it did the toilet would just keep running. The door to the room didn’t have any extra security locks and the blinds didn’t stop any light from coming in. It looked like daylight in the room in the middle of the night because of the lights outside.

Beds looked clean but the rest of the room wasnt. I spilled somethung on the floor so i wiped it up with a damp cloth and it came BLACK. I dont know when the last time the floors were mopped. I stood on towel in shower. Only 1 outlet to charge my phone in entire room under a desk. The other outlet didnt work. Parking sucks

Clean room, 5 minutes walk to the beach.

This Inn was great until my family and I saw cockroaches on the coffee tray and by the mirror. It made us uncomfortable to sleep through the night.

Really clean and quiet

We came here about a year ago and had really good service and the rooms were fine but outdated. Yet, this year cleanliness was a problem. Unfortunately, our room had cockroaches. Marie was nice and moved us to another room. Then we saw stained sheets. The walls in the rooms were also poorly maintained with dirt splatters. Light switches unclean and vents etc.. molding in bathrooms etc... We will not be returning.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience. I booked 2 rooms. One room the ac didnt work the room was dirty (hair from other guest on bed and pillows, the floors had debris) and one of the keycards stoped working. 2nd room was worse. Window screen and outlet broken and saw roaches by the fridge and microwave.

My room had cockroaches! And they were crawling on the bed! Had to sleep with the lights on!

Family room is spacious and clean

In a convenient location close to the wharf and boardwalk, everything is within walking distance. Bed was very comfortable, good linens, and clean. However our door didn’t feel secure, kinda had a gap in it and even though it laches & locked it almost didn’t feel completely shut. The room was bottom floor and near the stairs so you heard and felt every time they were used/walked on. The room above us had a kid practicing gymnastics off the beds till 11pm and was up bright and early. The room had a shower bathtub combo but couldn’t use the bath part because the latch that closes the drain was broken. And the parking lot is EXTREMELY SMALL, by the time we got there in the evening (5:30pm) the lot was full and we had to pay metered parking on the street.

It’s an older property. The AC in one of the rooms did not work

Our room was given to us right next to the pool pump. If not for the air-conditioning giving us background noise...Also, the Wi-fi was the worst I have ever experienced..I had to walk over to the office or sit in my vehicle near the office to get reception..

Perfect location. Just stayed here 1 night while on business. Parking was terrible, but they have a small lot. For the price, I feel it was worth it. The room was well cleaned and very nicely decorated.

Very walkable location, but room needs a significant makeover. Keycard system is very flakey and parking is a pain.

Loved the two bedrooms and convenience to the boardwalk!

Didn’t like how the keys never worked the noise at night and the place in general

I checked in at my assigned check in time 3:00 p.m., my room was not ready. Staff said it would be ready in a few minutes, waited in the parking lot 45 minutes before my room was available to me.

THEY say they offer breakfast on there site and when i booked the room it said it as well there was no breakfast at all office was not open until 10am, first empression on the property, lady in the office was extremely rude while i was checking in, no hospitality asked about the area and what there is to do and she basically blew me off amd said theres some brosures right there if you want to know whats around here, was not a very pleasant interaction at all. front door to the room to start with had issues closing the handle is basicaly broken had to lock the dead bold inorder to get the door striker to reengage, the room bedding was dirty luckly i brought my own blankets, there was a roach crawling around on the head borad of the bed and in the bathroom, the bedroom cause i got a 3 bet room had no heat at all was freezing in there my whole family ended up all sleeping on 2 beds. the room was very spacious and the area was nice 10 minute walking distance from the board walk thats the only good thing i can say.

Booked room same day for stay that evening. Drove over the mountain to hotel. Was told by front desk that they were sold out. Was informed that 26 other people that used hotels.com were told the same. Hotel desk gave me an 800 number to call hotels.com to ask for refund. Called the number and was put on hold several times and tranfered twice to different agents. Was offered to stay at less desireable hotel at a higher rate and thati would have to pay the difference. Finally was able to get a refund processed (2-3 business days]). Then drove back over the mountains to head back home. Hotel said it was hotels.com fault. Hotels.com said it was hotel's fault. Don’t know who to believe. Just know that i would be very reluctant to use either one of these businesses again. 1st time there bad, 2cnd time my bad. Safer and worth paying a little extra to book direct with hotel than trust an app.

Terrible communication from motel, called and texted multiple times we were running late when we got there no one was there no parking at all people illegally parked, couldn't even check in had to go elsewhere, very unresponsive

The room was technically clean. But it's rundown. The walls are dirty, like stains and actual dust/dirt and overall the place needs some TLC. There is no one after 9 pm and from 12 pm - 3 pm there is no one at the reception. The pool also needs some repairs. I guess for the price, the convenience of the 3 beds, and the location I would probably stay there again, but would not be looking forward to it. Sucks to settle down based on the price, but that's how it is.

My husband got locked out outside coz the key don't work but nobody on front desk or security to ask . He called the phone number many times but the lady show up after hes frustrated already...

You are unable to reach this hotel by phone or fax. I tried for several days and the call is cut off and you can’t leave a message. I also tried faxing and the fax is off.

I knew I wouldn’t be getting in till late. The office was closed but I called the phone number left on the office door and immediately, after speaking with the manager, given a lock box number that had my envelope with key and car pass.

Didnt like the shady people in parking lot and lack of parking. Didnt like the front desk not being available for questions and issues such as my coffee keurig did not work but the cleaning staff did assist me and was super nice. Cant say as much for the front desk. Definately did not like last minute notice of 100 deposit required affter i paid for my room.

They said they close the lobby at 9pm. We came at 830pm. Took a time date stamped video and photo to prove we were there early. Nobody was there. Door was locked. Could not get in called the posted after hours number and the front desk number. Nobody picked up. We had to sleep in our car. Horrible.

The biggest problem for my family was the chain-smoking of Tabacco and green outside. Facility was worn. No parking as stated. Homeless walked the sidewalk looking into guest cars.

Loved the location. There’s a great cafe within walking distance! Very clean, and great price.

Great location in walking distance to downtown, Wharf and Boardwalk. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Old but so don’t expect perfection, but price is great off/on season.

It was a decent room at a good price and great location. Room was clean, bed was comfy and shower was hot. Pretty much everything we needed.

Hotel overall is okay. Rooms are in decent condition. sheets and towels were clean and the rooms smelled clean. great location. downtown and boardwalk/pier are walkable. great deli across the street. staff was very pleasant and helpful with any inquiries. towels were way too small and parking is awful. they have “complimentary” parking but they have way more rooms than parking spots. otherwise you have to find metered parking on the street. you have to get lucky to get a spot in the parking lot.

I was charged a much greater rate than I made the reservation for. The room wasn’t really clean, I saw hair in the shower and sticky stuff in the fridge. To top it off I woke up to take a cold shower. There was no breakfast as was stated when I read online.

No useable internet. Bathroom fixtures old and in need of replacing. Chipped bathtub. Coffee maker did not work.

THEY NO LONGER OFFER BREAKFAST ( IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR), EVERYTHING FROM THE WALLS TO THE FLOOR WERE COVERED WITH DIRT. THE BATHROOM HAD HAIR ALL OVER INCLUDING THE TOILET. THE DOOR HANDLE WAS SAGGING WHEN WE FIRST GOT THERE LIKE SOMEONE TRIED TO BREAK IN. I DON'T RECOMMEND.

You get what you pay for. This was a reasonably priced hotel room with very kind and helpful staff. The parking lot is too small and they let us park in a space that was not a parking spot because they were all filled. We walked into a clean room where there was a hole in the wall, the bathroom door did not lock and the coffee machine was not working. We also lost power for a couple minutes twice the second night and both the key cards didn’t work by the last day. Amazing location, clean beds. Will not be staying here again

Do not come here. The only good thing about this property is that is close to the ocean. No guaranteed parking street. Parking is dangerous on street. No coffee pods for coffee machine. (They refused to give them other than first day of stay). Sand on the floor. Other issues…

Check in is at 3pm...everything was pretty quick in the lobby. They have a pool, and you can sign out certain things to play in the pool that was fun for the kids. Our coffee pot, it wasn't working and service. The maid service man, they were awesome. She was awesome. She immediately tried to fix the situation, cleaned it up. Couldn't fix it. So she got another coffee pot. I mean, she really was very sweet, limited english.But you could understand that she was trying her best and her best was great. The motel is very close 2, the boardwalk, which made it even better. You didn't have to drive your car. You could just walk literally less than 5 minutes to the arcade area for kids. Had a good time and the motel made it easy. Just as quick to walk to a sit down, breakfast had a great time. Thank you so much

The rooms were clean, but my coffee maker was broken, the refrigerator didn't cool and it was broken, the dryer, it barely worked, the location was perfect but they have very old things and they don't change them.

The entrance to the room was very uninviting and scary, the Krups machine didn’t work, the TV remote didn’t work, the microwave was dirty/stained, no house keeping, blow dryer not attached to wall and left sitting next to sink, shower head didn’t work properly, window adjacent to bed headboard let the morning sun brightly shine in, no place to park. Woman at front desk was nice but unable to do anything.
