The room was comfortable and clean. You can only get into the parking lot from one direction as there is only one entrance/exit. If you miss it, it’ll take you a few minutes driving to get back around again. It’ll include a few u-turns

We used the washer and dryer this trip, and had to run the dryer twice to get clothes dry. The next day the maintenance cleaned the lent tub that he said was clogged and returned the money for the cost of running it twice!

Nice room, nice staff , free popcorn and cookies& mints& coffee in lobby. Nice free breakfast and nice but small pool.Close to grocery store, gas station and fast food. About 20 minutes to beaches .Pet friendly areas out back. Good lighting at night in parking lot. Will stay there with my family again.

This Comfort Suites is great about being pet-friendly! They even had a goody bag for our dog. The floors aren't carpeted, which is great for a dog and for cleanliness. Very friendly staff.

I stayed at the property and they have bed bugs when I got bit and reported it to 3rd shift she was sort of dismissive as if they were use to getting bed bug calls. Then told me they could not do anything until theperson that comes in to treat bed bugs finds one luckily I added it in a cup to show proof I was irritated. Management the next day did help out by giving me a free stay in a different room. But beware of the bed bugs

We had stayed at this lication several times before. This time was not so great. They allow dogs which is great. The bathroom smelled of wet dog upon arrival. There was a bar of soap left on top of the shower doo from the previous guest.

Plus: Cozy hotel (in November), clean rooms, good hot breakfast, comfortable bed, good shower, nice and helpful staff, perfect value for money. Minus: The TV remote did not work properly, the toilet did not always stop running the water, a dead cockroach was found in our bathroom.

Blanket had stains, shower was gross and clogged. Building looked relatively new on the outside, but not so much inside. Just not a clean place to stay unless in a pinch. Staff was very nice!

The room was clean and the staff was nice. The breakfast left alpt to be desired but the waffles were great! The remote to our tv did not work, which was aggravating.The street lights shined in our window all night making it very hard to get a good nights sleep. The pool is very small for the size of the hotel and they closed it at 8pm nightly. It isn't even dark then. I was not aware of the construction to the parking lot and building when making the reservations. I would not book here again.

Really nice staff. We were given a great room, but then the lights in the bathroom didn't work. The room we were moved to was bigger, but outdated in comparison. Had a stale smell and the shower water pressure was terrible. Also could have been cleaner. Again, I think this room just hadn't been updated yet, and the staff had no problem letting us switch rooms. With more updates this location could be much better. The location is pretty good too--there's restaurants and grocery stores close by. About 10-15 minutes to Oak Island beaches.

We had a room on the 3rd floor with a king bed. Room was very comfortable and roomy. Nice big shower in bathroom. We liked having an extra sink with mirror outside the bathroom. It was very quite and people at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. If we're in Southport again we'll be sure and stay here!

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was at a very convenient location, close to restaurants and shopping centers. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty big and the bed was very comfortable. No complaints at all. I definitely recommend this property for anyone staying in the area.

Wonderful news, clean hotel, exceptional service. One huge drawback which I have to mention is the lack of blackout curtains, combined with what looks like stadium lighting outside. Totally bewildering why this is like this. Otherwise a very nice place.

Walls very thin, you hear everything right outside the entrance door and your window. I'm on first floor so I'm sure higher you go quiet it is. Sketch crowd from Myrtle Beach area will attempt to stay and drug deals occasionally happen outside the window again on 1st floor.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Staff is always friendly, hotel is clean, and breakfast has a great selection. The only negative is the curtains in the room. The lights from outside shine in, making sleep difficult, and shines on the tv which makes it hard to see. Overall, we love staying here.

We have a registered Emotional Support Dog with the US Service Dog Association. I presented our registration certificate, our dogs ID card, and letter from my Doctor of Psychiatry supporting use of our dog to help with my PTSD. The front desk did not accept this information and charged us an additional $30.00 a night for a fog that meets all the requirements of a service dog. We will never stay at this hotel again. Shame on you.

Day shift staff was excellent, as was the evening shift. Every time I looked for someone on the midnight shift, all I could find was a pair of glasses on the counter. Everyone else was above and beyond nice and helpful.

The only reason we have this a 4 star was because after informing the front desk multiple times about not getting hot water in our shower the issue was still not resolved. We stayed for 6 nights and the only way we could get hot water to the shower was if someone continually flushed the toilet. We had hot water to the sinks but cold water to the shower. So while one person showered another one had to sit and keep flushing the toilet so we could have hot water, it was quite the site. Besides that everything else was amazing. The staff were all wonderful, they offer complimentary cookies and popcorn in the late afternoons and my kids loved that! The pool was great we utilized it anytime we could between the rain. Breakfast was great with multiple options throughout the days. Egg muffin quiches, waffles (original and other flavors each day like strawberry, blueberry, cinnamon roll etc). Eggs, sausage, bagels, ham, cereal, muffins, cinnamon rolls, donuts, honey buns and more. The location was nice and central and the room was great! The couch and 2 beds were plenty of room for all of us. Came town a microwave, mini fridge and a mini sink and storage as well. It was a great stay besides the hot water, but we enjoyed everything else!

The front desk person took 20 minutes to get logged into the computer to check me in. She did not charge the pet fee at check in, but ran it later that evening. I assumed the fee was going to be waived due to the inconvenience of waiting 20 to be checked in.

We had to book a different hotel the same night last minute (a lot more expensive), since they did not tell us beforehand they were out of non-smoking rooms. They expected us to stay in a room that reeked of smoke, the last room available supposedly. When we canceled at the front desk they told us our refund had been processed and it would take a few days to show up. One week later our canceled booking at Hotels.com did not show a hint of a refund, and we had to request it again two times until it was processed.

This hotel was awesome! Everyone who worked there was accommodating. The breakfast was great fresh fruits, waffles, eggs, quiche, cereal all the breads you would need for a good meal. Only a 6 minute drive to the public beach access.

Amazing staff, front desk staff very personable; even housekeeping was very kind when I left something behind. Clean rooms, perfect accommodations, great layout, cool pool!! Only thing I was sad about is breakfast ended at 9. I feel if you're truly comfortable there, it's a good thing to rest in. Will stay again!

My stay at Comfort Suites was awesome! Large spacious room, very clean. Bathroom shower was the best. Lots of water pressure from the shower head which is very relaxing. Bed was very comfortable as well. Complementary fresh popcorn and cookies were offered to the guests. Both were delicious. The free breakfast offered to guests has lots of choices. I will definitely stay there again if the opportunity arises. Recommend this hotel 100%.

Stay was great. Loved the amenities that the hotel provided, like popcorn and cookies every afternoon and a pretty lounge with constant coffee/tea station. Hot breakfast every morning was also great. Room and bed were comfortable and bathroom clean and well stocked.

As soon as you walk in the door you smell the aroma of fresh popcorn. The lady at the desk was very friendly. Check in was very fast and easy.When we got to the room the room was clean bed very comfortable. Breakfast was 10 / 10 oh I can't forget the chocolate chip cookies and the mints candy throughout the hotel. Overall great hotel experience

Reservation was wrong, they didn't have both rooms. Coffee was terrible, absolutely undrinkable. Breakfast was meh. Staff was very friendly and nice though.
