Hampton Inn & Suites Southport

Property was convenient to where we wanted to visit. Morning breakfast was excellent. Small pool for the size of the property. Pool was taken over by kids in the evening.

Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate station available all day. There was a large selection for breakfast. Kids really enjoyed it. Quick and easy drive to the beach. Staff were friendly. We would definitely stay again.

It was amazing. LITERALLY down the street from the beach, not even 5 minutes! Breakfast is the best i’ve had in a while from a hotel. Shout out to Becky & John for being amazing. There is also a great massage spot next door !!! I will say the pool wasnt as clean but it was due to all the wind in the area.

The pool was right out the back door of the motel, room was very clean, and the bed slept better than my bed at home.

First off, the staff here is lovely. They are attentive, knowledgeable, and pleasant. The rooms have a microwave and a fridge that actually keeps things cold (you know what I'm talking about) in each room. Downstairs, they sell microwave meals and snacks at a reasonable price. The sheets were extremely soft, the mattress didn't hurt my back, and there were various types of pillows. I found the perfect pillow to meet my preference. They had Neutrogena products! The thermostat worked perfectly! The free breakfast was above and beyond expectations and, once again, the man in charge of the buffet was incredibly helpful and pleasant. They had options that were gluten free, nut allergy free and for diabetics. Heck, they even had smart balance to lower your cholesterol if you wanted! The room and is extremely clean and safe. Even upon check out, the staff was super sweet to my 10 year old daughter. Stay here!!!!!

We liked the size of our room, Though we paid for the upgrade, so it was at our choice. The area was quiet which was nice, however cleanliness was far below average. There were women's hairs in our bathroom and and we are two guys with very short hair. There were fingerprints and handprints smeared on the windows, like nobody even tried to clean them before we came in.. how come we can have a physical Bible, But no physical channel guide or any other things that I have to scan the qr code for. Why are you catering to the religious people and not towards the general customer base? Efficiency was below average for the hotel. We booked through expedia, where all of our information was provided to the hotel and entered correctly. When we get to the hotel they again wanted my phone number, My physical address, my name, a card for incidentals, which they did not disclose ahead of time. Nor did staff disclose why this was needed again.. I do not appreciate being texted when i'm trying to sleep. If that was the purpose of the phone number, I will never be providing my phone number to staff on site again. You do not text me less than an hour after I arrive at the hotel asking how we're doing. we just got here, how about give us a chance to get settled?? And if you're going to push keyless entry with the phones, then maybe in the message from the hotel state that you're part of the hilton brand and oh check in with hilton honors because I booked my hotel with hampton.

The hotel was clean, modern and well-kept. It was decorated for Christmas, with decorations inside and out, plus on each floor as you exited the elevator. They had a kid section set up with letters for Santa, envelopes and a little mailbox to drop off letters. There were also holiday coloring books and colored pencils. The lobby area had coffee, hot water for tea and cocoa, plus lots of creamers and sweeteners. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with items constantly restocked and lots of hot and cold options. Beds were comfy and there were fresh blankets in the closet for extra warmth. There was a barking dog staying at the other end of the hall but we couldnt hear it in our room at all, just in the hallway. Upon check in, we asked about restaurants for that evening that would be open, as it was Christmas Eve. There was not only a list, but when I inquired about an option that was missing from the list, the nice man at the desk called the restaurant to get details for me even though I said I'd make the call myself. When we came downstairs on Christmas morning, the staff were exchanging gifts, which was so sweet to see that they truly get along and care about one another.

We arrived about 6 pm and left early the next morning after breakfast. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfy and the TV worked. A wide assortment of breakfast goodies was available, including waffles, eggs, hash browns, sausage and cereal. All in all, it was a good brief stay.

Very clean and well kept property. I was impressed.

The check in process was good. When I got to the room I noticed my sheets looked like someone slept in the bed. I looked closer and found hair on the sheets. I asked for the linens to be changed and it was done. I am not happy knowing the linens were used by the previous person.

The facility was new & the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the beds were very hard & uncomfortable, and we both woke up in pain.

Nice decor. Our shower was not very warm and the water pressure was not very good. A detachable faucet head would have been nice. Our room's mini fridge barely cooled at all except right at the back and we were nervous about our son's milk being cool enough.

Super quiet, very clean place to stay. The only negative was the beds were a bit hard for our liking. But everything else was incredible.

I traditionally stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, but made a change this year to join my brother and his wife. I love the Hampton Inn - rooms are very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Beds are very comfortable. If I made one change it would be to light the rooms better. I had to do some company work there and the lighting was limited.

Rooms are aged but comfortable . We were gone a lot so did not use amenities, such as the pool. Little pricey to me for the size of the room . Breakfast has wide variety of food . Waffles delicious. Staff is Friendly.

Good: very friendly hotel staff, sweet rooms are very spacious, variety of breakfast options at buffet, still feels like a new hotel! Bad: the AC unit does not do a good job of circulating air and keeping at a constant temperature given the large room, found a few hairs in the bed, no fan in the bathroom. Overall: would stay again, good value.

It was clean with a spacious room. The window treatments were broken and didn't work as they were intended to. We had to get creative when we wanted them open.

The people at the front desk were very friendly and genuinely interested in us as guests. So much different from the usual experience at hotels these days. The housekeeping crew were friendly when I met them in the hallways. The people in the breakfast area were friendly. Kudos to this team!

The gentleman at the front desk charged my credit card $217.03. I have no idea why my rooms were already paid for contacted the hotel to get a refund still waiting for that.

The hotel was good and breakfast was great. Check-in was just ok. The guy at the desk didn't get out of his chair to greet or help us. There is a lot of road construction going on the time I was there. It made exiting the hotel property difficult. Hopefully it will be better once it's done.

The front desk was excellent and very helpful. I left my Apple Watch in the room upon checking out the cleaning ladies reported it to the front desk immediately. Unfortunately we were already on the road heading to the airport but the desk was so kind to overnight it to me . Kudos to the entire staff! We will be back !

When we arrived I was told I had to wait because the system was down, by Gabrielle, and that i wouldn’t be able to check in. In the same breath I was told they could manually check me in but they wouldn’t do that u til 20 minutes of not being able to log in with IT. I had a dog with me so waiting in the lobby was a bit much, in addition to just having drove for 4 hours.

We enjoyed meeting the nicest and most pleasant hotel staff we’ve encountered in many hotel stays. We were greeted with a smile and friendly banter upon check-in, were helped with small items we had forgotten at home, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, and were sent on our way with a smile and wishes for safe travel. Five Stars for the staff at Hampton Inn Southport!!

Location, cleanliness, amazing staff.

We loved staying here. The parking was very convenient for us. The staff when i checked in was fabulous. She told us where to go eat and places to see.

Room ready early, efficient check in, excellent customer service, clean and well-appointed facilities; Great breakfast and great staff. We will be back!

This was a great place to stay! Right outside of Oak island and close to Southport

Easy driving distance to restaurants, beach strand, and historic area , but not walkable. Quietness and Hilton Service more than make up for the location.

As expected from Hampton aka Hilton, clean well maintained property. Good location with plenty of shopping and restaurants in close proximity.

It was close to all the things a vacationer would want and was overall peaceful. Unfortunately it is hard to exit onto the main road because of nearly constant traffic from both directions. It would be really helpful if there were a bridge to the nest door Food Lion from which it would be easy to exit.

Beach close by.

We came down a day early for a friends wedding. It was perfect for convenience and comfort. Really enjoyed the location of the hotel.

Fairly new (5 years) motel. Busy area. The desk folks were marvelous! Their food recommendations 😋 were terrific! Their driving directions were spot on! It pays to be kind.

The room was very clean and the whole hotel looked new. We received a welcome bag with bottled water and the breakfast was fully stocked with many options. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and there were extra pillows on each bed. We requested an extended checkout with no problem. Would definitely stay again.
