Hotel Strudlhof Vienna

Really enjoyed my stay! Great location with good public transport connections, while also quiet. Comfortable beds, and good amenities, especially cupboard space and fridge. Bathroom doors didn't lock easily from the inside, though staff were quick to resolve issue with one of them. Will definitely book again next time I'm in Vienna.

The room was very clean and breakfast was excellent. The biggest disappointment was that the air conditioning simply didn't work, the machinery looked very old and all it did was blow out dust. We were happy to sleep with the windows open but outside the window was a walkway to the fire escape so we felt vulnerable. The building opposite the hotel was once home to Erwin Schrödinger so there was plenty of scope for cat related humour while battling the air conditioning system.

The Hotels location is quiet and well reachable with public transport. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast was really good with some vegetarian options too. The hotel is definitely in need of a thorough renovation, but the hotel and our room were clean. Good value for the money. Definitely staying here again next time we're in Vienna.

Overall, pretty good stay. Pretty close to things...walking distance was nice. The room was ok but the bathroom was not clean when I arrived, but they did it when I asked. I don't think any cleaning happened during my week long stay unless I asked, which was ok for me. As others have mentioned, the pillows are laughable. Bring your own! I'd recommend it for budget travel, though!
