The air conditioning was not working the first night. I was told in no uncertain terms to endure it. I told them to I would sleep in the lobby. Again the told me that would be my choice. I told that it was the only choice given to me. I was lucky that the bartender took it upon himself to get a fan for me. I have respiratory issues. I’m not able to sleep in a room without AC or air.. his name what’s his name. The night staffs had an attitude. I when to the restaurant again a women with a chip on her shoulder told she is from Brazil’s and only speak Portuguese not Spanish, not English that we should learn to speak Portuguese. For someone to work in that type of environment should be more lenient and try to work with non-Portuguese speaking patron of the hotel and the restaurant.. I found that the nice staff had such a chip on their shoulders

The hotel was lovely and clean, rooms were cleaned to a good standard. The only thing missing was no tea or coffee in the room, I did not realise this when I booked. The pool was fabulous with comfortable sunbeds. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

You get exactly what you paid for. Very good staff rooms are clean and neat and the bar was decent aswell. The only bad thing I have to say that the breakfast wasn't really good but it wasn't incredibly bad aswell, just a little below average but everything else was very nice

Good, clean basic hotel that made a sensible base for attending conferencing at university within walking distance. It's clean and the bed and room were comfortable. The bathroom, as others have noted, is dated but was clean and serviceable. I was very grateful for aircon. Breakfast was basic but had hot, cold and fruit. Staff were helpful but abrupt. I would have liked a kettle in the room which was absent and it is right by the railway line and on the flightpath, so bring earplugs. There are plenty of restaurants and the Gulbenkian within walking distance and Lisbon old town is an easy metro or bus drive away. All in all a pleasant, convenient stay.
