Wir waren sehr zufrieden in der Unterkunft. Wir waren als Paar für 7 Nächte dort und hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Frühstück, Fika (Crêpes und Kaffe/Tee) und Abendbrot waren inklusive und wirklich frisches und leckeres Essen! Sehr freundliches Personal! Sauna war auch toll!

Very nice stay and would recommend. Biggest unique feature was the price of the room included buffet breakfast and a light dinner. Food was quality. sauna was great, room was fine, bed comfortable, location excellent, customer service /staff was wonderful, wifi was mostly fine, fitness area very limited. I would stay here again if I go to Bergen again and the price is right. Thank you for the wonderful stay in Bergen!

Perfect location in the "tenderloin" of Bergen. great hotel, friendly staff, Breakfast is fantastic. Rooms maybe on the smaller side, but impeccably clean with comfy beds.

Superb location, in Bryggen: exactly where you want to be in Bergen. The historic town is right around you and you can walk to the piers and the fish market. The airport shuttle starts from right outside the hotel, so that is an added convenience. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner were included, which is unusual. Breakfast was a generous spread. Dinner was simple but adequate. The bar in the lobby is open until late. (Note: no food available after 8:00 pm.) We expect to be back in Bergen soon, and don't need to shop for a hotel: we will definitely stay here again.

Likte godt konseptet med tre måltider, og maten var nydelig! Damen i resepsjonen var også enestående og hjelpsom. Jeg tenkte å trene på hotellets treningsrom, men hadde ikke fått med meg at det var stengt, uten et alternativ, så jeg måtte finne et selv. Ellers likte jeg meg veldig godt :-)

The hotel has very pleasant & quiet public spaces. the views from the tower are not to be missed. Also, the Flybussen express bus to the airport starts its route just outside the front door of the hotel. A taxi could hardly be more convenient. We had a very early flight and had to take the 4:15AM bus - the first of the day. It was right on time. Even better, since we missed breakfast at the hotel, they packed a nice breakfast for us that we picked up when we checked out at 4:00AM.

Very nice quaint yet modern hotel. The ‘free’ meal was ok - we had it once and dined out the other 2 nights. Location nice, accessibility very good, gym, breakfast etc all very good. Would book again for sure.

Room was pretty dirty. Such impression that it was not cleaned for weeks. No daily service. Location is great but noisy. Thermostat not functional. They heat hotel centrally (all rooms). When outside there was about 50 F, room temperature was 74-75 F at open window. We stayed in one of few rooms where window could be completely open. In other rooms, room temperature reached 80 F.

Frokosten var fantastisk, fornøyd med utsikt av rommet, og flott lobby. Det eneste er at det kunne vært mer rent på rom, gang og fellesområder, mye støv og smuss. Også er heisen veldig treg. Spesielt på morningen når fler skal ned til frokosten.

Flott hotell med fin atmosfære. Fin lobby og god plass i frokostområde. Denne gangen var desverre renholdet skuffende både under oppholdet og bl.a. var det en del støv spesielt i garderobeskapet ved ankomst. Kommer nok uansett tilbake.

This primarily is a poor review for Expedia. This hotel was listed as luxury and boutique. It is neither. I arrived late and after a long day of travel and just wanted to go to sleep. I looked at 3 rooms and all were terrible. Old, terribly furnished, things broken and dusty in the hallways the elevator was filthy the shower made me feel more dirty after I took one, terrible skin products. I ended up leaving the next morning and found another place to stay but this awful and unnecessary night ruined my time in Bergen. Def would not recommend.

I was surprised that the hotel does not automatically clean your room each day and if you want them to clean the room you have to request it the day before! The room itself was OK, but a bit shabby and worn - needs a bit of a refreshing. Very expensive, especially given these two things.

The hotel is in a really good location, just next to Bryggen and within steps of other tourist attractions - Bryggen Museum, St Mary's Church, Bergen Fortress. The furthest attraction away is still only a 20 min walk, at most. I had a view of the water from my room (505) too, which was really lovely. The room (I was in a standard double) is quite small, but was absolutely perfect for me on my own for a week. Perhaps the wardrobe space would feel too small for more than one person for that length of time. The room has an iron with ironing board, TV, hairdryer, kettle and mini fridge. The bathroom has a shower, underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. There is a lot of seating downstairs inc a library and a cool nook by the old entrance/stairs. Go up the tower! Breakfast in the morning had lots of options for hot food, as well as the expected Scandinavian meats and cheeses. Lots of fruit, bread, yoghurts and cereals too. At 3pm there is a snack available for free too. While I was there this was cake, pancakes or sandwiches. Then in the evening there is a meal provided for free too. This consists of a soup and a main of some sort (for example root vegetable soup with focaccia and chicken, potatoes and vegetables) as well as a wide selection of salads - standard leafy as well as pastas, quinoa etc. You can definitely get by staying here without buying much food outside at all, which is really welcome in expensive Norway. The staff at the hotel are really kind and helpful.

Excellent stay in comfortable, historic hotel located at end of Bryggen wharf. Comfortable, spacious room, though mattresses are a bit thin. Ample breakfast and the”light dinner” option precludes the need to eat in town (have lunch in town instead). Walked from hotel to onboard our ship for our cruise.

Well located hotel with friendly staff and good dining options. The room was a good size but suffered from poor ventilation and no air conditioning. The bathroom fan did not work. So overall the room was hot, stuffy and uncomfortable. It was more refreshing in the corridor. The window opened slightly but the street was noisy until late a night.

Hotel is beautiful and ideally located. The room was lovely and comfortable and, when closed, the windows completely blocked street noise. There were no instructions for temperature control, however, which were desperately needed since closing the windows made the room quite warm. One star off because the "included dinner," which we chose assuming we'd be exhausted after a long journey, was stunningly mediocre--think middle school cafeteria. It really should be avoided. But doing so makes the hotel rather pricey, so were I to do it again, I would probably look at other, equally convenient, pleasant options and use the savings for a better meal.

Helt ok rom, men litt rart med glassdør til badet som gjør at det blir lyst i rommet om noen må bruke badet om natten. Veldig god seng og gode puter. Litt trangt rom. God frokost, men de sliter med påfyllingen, mye ble tomt hele tiden. Fin beliggenhet ved bryggen. Nydelige fellesarealer.

The Clarion dining room cook and young servers were above and beyond helpful, kind and professional. The food was great but I would be remiss if I did not give kudos to one young 18 yr old Norwegian blonde staff in dining that went to all measures to have short but sincere conversations with us.He was never to busy to be helpful . unfortunately, we never did get his name but you have the dates we spent at the Clarion and I am hopeful you will reach out for a shoutout. He and all of your staff was so helpful and pleasant. The front desk people helped us arrange everything we asked for from receiving lost luggage to arranging the printing of boarding passes to a cab at 3:30 am. Did I mention the immaculateness of our room and even grout in bathroom was so very clean ? Lastly, if I would have any criticism it would be about the furnishing in main lobby furniture. Guys, you really need to know it is definitely passed it's prime. Soiled arms and worn fabric...sorry! My sister and I would definitely grab a glass of great wine by the fireplace and sit on those worn couches again for a week because we have a beautiful memory June 6 -13 doing just that! THANKYOU

Guys, you really need to know it is definitely passed it's prime. Soiled arms and worn fabric...sorry! My sister and I would definitely grab a glass of great wine by the fireplace and sit on those worn couches again for a week because we have a beautiful memory June 6 -13 doing just that! THANKYOU

We checked into the hotel in the evening before 5 pm. The hostess never told us about the dining features. It was only after we had been to the hotel for about 2 days that I happen to come down when another guest-with a different complexion than mine was told about the breakfast-noon sweets and the evening light meal.I doubt if this was a oversight. The experience made me realize that I was being judged by the color of my skin and not the content of my character. I would not recommend this establishment to people of color due to the bias that my husband and I experienced. We all pay the same amount of money for a nightly room and hence should all be treated in the same manner-your personnel should be trained on the need for professionalism!!!!!!

The staff was very accommodating. We had an issue parking a rental car where they said it could be parked and they kept taking care of it. For our troubles our room was upgraded and that was very nice of them. The hotel is clean, the breakfast was delicious and the location is very convenient to many of the attractions. Thank you

Loved my short stay at the Clarion. So cozy and friendly and I was always welcomed back after a day of exploring the city. Catherine at the front desk had great suggestions which enhanced my stay in Bergen. Sitting in the lobby next to the fire in the big arm chairs, sipping some local aquavit helped me understand the concept of hygge.

Superb location, in Bryggen: exactly where you want to be in Bergen. The historic town is right around you and you can walk to the piers and the fish market. The airport shuttle starts from right outside the hotel, so that is an added convenience. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner were included, which is unusual. Breakfast was a generous spread. Dinner was simple but adequate. The bar in the lobby is open until late. (Note: no food available after 8:00 pm.) We expect to be back in Bergen soon, and don't need to shop for a hotel: we will definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved the food at Hotel Havnekontoret. Every day we had amazing breakfast and coffee options, and a lovely well-prepared dinner by the wonderful chefs. Our room was lovely, good temperature control (window that can open if you get too hot), and the amenities were great. Everything is within an easy walk from the hotel- we spent 5 days walking as much of Bergen as possible. This is a prime location! Thanks for making our honeymoon special!

Terrific location for all public transportation. The stop for the express bus to the airport was a few meters from the hotel’s entrance. The boats for the fjord tours also docked nearby. Historic Bergen is small and very walkable. The hotel was near everything including great restaurants

Excellent location in the heart of Bergen’s historic centre. The hotel was clean and comfortable with attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options available on the buffet. The light meal in the evening (included in our stay) was just what we needed, and far better and tastier than we thought it would be.

Excellent breakfast, fresh, high quality and good choice including local specialties. The staff was super friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the whole experience was superb. This place was amazing! Whatever my nightly rate was, it wasn’t enough! Great big breakfast spread in the morning, Fika late afternoon, then a “light dinner”. Don’t be fooled, the light dinner was a nice spread of breads, salads, a soup, and a main course! Everything was very delicious. The room was well appointed with everything we could think of, and we had a great view looking out into the harbor and Bryggen. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel and the front desk staff was incredibly awesome

Very nice quaint yet modern hotel. The ‘free’ meal was ok - we had it once and dined out the other 2 nights. Location nice, accessibility very good, gym, breakfast etc all very good. Would book again for sure.

Hotel is well maintained, 14 minute walk from the main railway station. Dinner provided by the hotel was healthy with choice of vegetables and of high quality. Breakfast limited choice but tasty. Hotel service was prompt and efficient.

Lovely hotel, close to the shops and harbour. Reception was calm and relaxed with tea and coffee offered. Room and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great with lots of choice as was the dinner they serve from 6pm. A lovely idea with plenty of freshly cooked foods and salads. Would go back again.
