Scandic Byparken

Rommet og badet var veldig små og litt slitt. Vi hadde bestilt dobbeltrom med ekstraseng, og ekstrasengen var lavere på midten enn i både hode- og fotenden. Utsikt rett inn i et kontorbygg, så på dagtid kunne de som satt der se rett på rommet vårt. Ikke eget treningsrom, og treningssenteret som kunne brukes av gjester var ganske fullt. Ingen innbydende sitteplasser i lobbyen. Pluss for god frokost og positive ansatte.

Rent og fint rom, ingen utsikt fra 7. etg, bare rett inn i naboleilighetene. Frokosten va ok, men måtte betale ekstra for den. Parkeringen ble litt dyr og det var et lite stykke å gå fra hotellet med mye bagasje. 280 kr pr døgn i Grieg garasjen.

Es ist ein sehr schönes Hotel mit einem sehr guten Frühstücksbuffet. Wenn man mit dem Kfz anreist muss man leider in einem öffentlichen Parkhaus für 280 NOK pro Tag parken.

Sentralt i Bergen. Små rom. Ville ha med en kopp kaffe ut fra hotellet etter frokost og spurte om å få et engangskrus for å ikke ta med meg porselenskrus. Det fikk jeg, men måtte betale 29 kroner for det. Unødvendig! Neste gang blir porselenskruset med ut.

Fint hotel, der måske trænger til lidt vedligeholdelse og maling hist og her. Bemærk at der IKKE er parkering tæt på/ved hotellet. Det sker i Griegs-parken ca. 300m væk (betalingsparkering).

Det var merket med treningsmuligheter, men ikke så lett å få gjennomført på en søndag morgen. Hotellet har ikke eget treningsrom men vi ble først orientert om ett samarbeid. På døra stod det lørdag og søndag stengt. Vi fikk så opplyst nytt samarbeidende senter men dett åpnet ikke før kl 0900 på søndager. Frokosten stenger kl 10.00 og det lot seg ikke gjøre å trene før frokost på en søndag, kjedelig...

Lite praktisk å gå igjennom frokostsalen opp småtrapper for å komme til heisen. Savnet mulighet til å lage kaffe/te på rommene. Ihvertfall når kaffemaskinen nede kun var åpen til frokost. Rommet var støvete i hjørner. Grei størrelse, ok bad, litt lite, upraktiske plassering av stikkontakt.

Good room and convenient location. The breakfast is outstanding and I also loved having a kettle in our room .

The hotel was very well located. The room was spacious and clean and as it had a small fridge, it would have just been perfect if they had included a kettle in the room.

Fint hotell. sentralt beliggenhet. Grei service. Burde vært bedre forklart rundt parkering av bil på hjemmesider. Ellers fint opphold

Perfekt beliggenhet, ryddig og rent rom, hyggelig betjening, god frokost.

Bodde på et lite rom med mye støy fra alle kanter. Avløp/vifter/kjøkken/veldig lytt ut i gang. Dårlig luft. Utrivelig rom. Fant «negl under overmadrass. Listverket nederst ved dør tilsølet. Hva som trekker opp er nydelig og variert frokost med hyggelig betjening

Wir würden nicht wieder dieses Hotel wählen. Das Zimmer das wir erhielten war sehr dreckig und auf dem Boden lagen noch Chips und anderes von den Vorgängern. Als wir das der Rezeption mitteilten, passierte nichts. Auch die tägliche Reinigung des Zimmers die wir wünschten, funktionierte nicht.

The staff here were fantastic. So friendly and helpful. Breakfast was always fresh with plenty of choice. It is very conveniently located. The bus station, shops, Bryggen and the Floibanen funicular are all within a 10 to 15 minute walk. The rooms are a little dated but this is a minor issue. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay.

Var veldig misfornøyd med renhold på rommet. Resepsjonen tok profesjonelt tak i situasjonen og oppgraderte. Neste rom var rent og fint. Creds for bra håndtering!! Frokosten blir trang i tjukkeste turistsesongen, men god mat og VELDIG hyggelig personale!

Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly. Right outside our window was an area with garbage bins which was very noisy until midnight. We weren’t able to crack the window open to cool the room off without being woken up multiple times due to banging, yelling and a very bright motion light. We are certain that rooms on the outer perimeter of the building that don’t have windows like ours would be much better to stay in. Half eaten food from the previous stay was also still in the fridge when we arrived.

My room was clean and comfortable, however it was hot. The hotel was on a busy street and the windows would only open about 3 inches, there was a lot of noise from traffic and people.

Property was clean. Breakfast had good variety. A lot of hotels in Norway don't have AC. There was a heat wave when we were there but unfortunately, the hotel ran out of fans so the temperature in the room at night was barely survivable. We were at the back of the hotel and our room was overlooking a courtyard of an adjacent apartment building housing students. The students were very noisy during the weekend.

Hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance to the harbour and tram station. Staff all very cheery and helpful. Reception area very tidy and functional. Rooms are a bit of a disappointment. Clean but very dark and dated. Maybe would be better with a room that was sun facing. Breakfast was very nice.

部屋から近くの人工湖が見られる部屋にしていただき、クリスマスマーケットのライトアップを部屋から楽しめました。 部屋も1人で滞在充分な広さです。 ケトルは無いので入り口近くのコーヒーマシンからお湯を貰う必要があります。 冷蔵庫はあり助かりました。 ロケーションが最高です。 コーデ美術館の後ろにあり、ブリッゲン地区や中央駅までも10分ほどです。 空港からはトラム（ライトレール）で行きましたが、終点駅から徒歩4分ほどです。（空港バスの方が早く着けるようです）

The hotel is a bit outdated, but the breakfast was excellent with a great variety of fresh options. Unfortunately, the room had no air conditioning, which was uncomfortable during this hot July. The windows barely opened, and leaving them ajar brought in a lot of street noise, making it hard to sleep. Great breakfast, but not ideal for hot summer nights.

Half great, half awful We were in a “queen size” bed room, but the bed was pushed up flush against the wall in the corner. The room was so small we were unable to lay our two carry on bags open on the floor. But, the breakfast (we paid extra) was fabulous and worth every penny. Obviously, a great location, but just an awful room.

The Scandic Byparken in Bergen is the perfect location for exploring the city - it’s within walking distance of the port, the shops and plenty of great places to eat. (Top tip - Pingvinen is awesome!) Overall, our stay was everything we hoped it would be, although it didn’t start that way. We booked online, having read previous reviews and browsed the photos of the rooms. Unfortunately, the room we were given looked nothing like any of the photos on the website. Instead of being bright and spacious, our room was tiny, dark and the only window opened to a nearby brick wall. The queen-sized bed was pressed up against a wall, and everything about it felt tired and dated. Having said all of this, the front-desk staff were very understanding and responsive when we expressed our disappointment, and they immediately moved us into a much better room. And from then on, our stay was as good as it could have been. In particular, we would commend; a) the complimentary breakfast. Having stayed in many hotels, the variety and the quality of breakfast options at the Scandic Byparken was by far the best we’ve ever experienced. b) the staff. All of the staff - the desk staff, the breakfast serving team, the cleaners - were incredibly helpful and friendly. We felt very welcomed.

It was hot and very loud at night do to street noise and bar karaoke until 3am so my family got very little sleep. Property nice and excellent breakfast.

Spacious and spotless room. Good bathroom with toiletries provided. Great to have an iron/ironing board. Very close to airport bus and the main sights. Generous range of breakfast choices. Friendly and helpful staff.

Unfortunately my son booked this hotel where he got a bad experience. He arrived at 10PM after a long trip from Oslo so he could not remember the room number. The lady who was charge of checking in yelled at him. Then later she accused him of running away. I did not like they took advanced of him because he is a younger man and he was alone. If I could ask for a refund I would love it. Please avoid this hotel if you are traveling alone. I was worry of my son’s safety after she accused of running away. Running away from what?

The hotel is superbly situated in the centre of the city. Staff were always friendly and attentive and the rooms clean and functional. I would certainly stay here again.

Having said all of this, the front-desk staff were very understanding and responsive when we expressed our disappointment, and they immediately moved us into a much better room. And from then on, our stay was as good as it could have been. In particular, we would commend; a) the complimentary breakfast. Having stayed in many hotels, the variety and the quality of breakfast options at the Scandic Byparken was by far the best we’ve ever experienced. b) the staff. All of the staff - the desk staff, the breakfast serving team, the cleaners - were incredibly helpful and friendly. We felt very welcomed.

The staff here were very kind, helpful, and professional. The hotel itself was walkable to shopping, bars, restaurants, and public transportation. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel was in a great location walkable to the fish market, restaurants and the train station. Helpful staff and excellent breakfast. Small refrigerator in the room was a plus. On the negative side the rooms were very small, hot and the hotel is on a busy corner so too loud to open the windows at night.

L’hôtel est très bien situé: à 15min de pied de Bryggen, et juste à côté d’un parc/lac. Le petit déjeuner est très varié et de qualité.

The hotel is in a great location near the lovely city park and close to the main train station. It is not far from the harbour, within a few minutes walking distance but not so close as to be noisy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was average - not many amenities but it was clean. Bed was comfortable although the pillows were too soft and didn’t offer much neck support. WiFi was good but TV channels were limited - no international channels. The breakfast buffet was fantastic- great selection though I would have liked to see more fish offerings.

Outstanding breakfast buffet. Front desk staff were always helpful and attentive to details. Plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. Very comfortable bed.

Breakfast was amazing

Great location, friendly staff, and huge, delicious breakfast.

I always stay at this hotel when I come to Bergen. It is close to the terminal of the light rail from the airport and very convenient for sightseeing around downtown. And my favorite thing about this hotel is the breakfast. Single rooms may be a bit small, but enough for me.

Hotel rooms themselves are relatively basic (and reminded me of student accommodation). It’s well located for visiting Bergen though, and I really appreciated access to a gym two minutes away (which opens from 6am). Gluten free breakfast options were also excellent
