Hotel was great overall - good location, easy self check-in, service available at front desk whenever needed. They were able to provide a water boiler for the room, and had a communal refrigerator in the lobby to keep our labeled food overnight. There was a free coffee machine in the lobby, but unfortunately it was broken, so they just had instant available, but still nice that they offered for free. Room and beds were comfortable with good blackout curtains. A little pricey, but pretty much in line with other local accommodations.

The Citybox chain offers a no frills room so no TV but with comfortable beds, shower and washroom. Really clean and quiet. Downstairs there are hostel type areas for those who want to microwave food, sit and eat. This Citybox has a really nice bar attached downstairs which serves very decent food at a reasonable price (at least for Norway!). I’m a convert to the chain and will definitely stay again!

One of those semi-automatic hotels with self-check-in and key dispenser leading to basic room with minimal amenities. However, staff were available to help, there are in-house laundry facilities at reasonable prices, and a very handy little kitchen area where we could brew coffee and eat supermarket breakfast. The hotel is in a bit of a grey residential area a good half hour walk into town. Parking was the only complaint, being off-site, up a short hill and in a side street multi-storey, and a whopping £10 a day. There isn’t anywhere to unload or pack near the hotel so keep your luggage to a minimum

Rene, pene og smarte rom. Ingen bråk. Enkel innsjekk. Rimelig og enkel frokost. Ikke kjøl på rommet, men et felles kjøleskap, samt microbølgeovn og vannkoker i sitteområdet ved resepsjonen. Badet var fint med stor dusj og vask, sengen var fint og rommet hadde det jeg trengte for å kun sove. Det som trekker ned var søppelet på badet som ikke var tatt da jeg sjekket inn. Ikke så kjekt å finne brukt bind i søppelet som ikke tilhører meg 😅

Ich war 5 Tage im Hotel und mein Mülleimer wurde nur einmal geleert, das Bett nicht gemacht-kein Zimmerservice. Sehr kleines aber sauberes Einzelzimmer. Kein Schrank, nur 3 Bügel und 4 Haken sowie ein schmaler Tisch.

Rooms have no air conditioner, I went in the summer time and it got warm in the room. The bathroom had some hair in the sink, there was no toilet paper and toilet smell like it was not cleaned right. But its ok to spend one night there, would not spend more than that.

They didn’t even provide a paper cup. I had to slurp from under the tap after I brushed my teeth. There was ONE product for hair and body in the shower marked “hair and body soap.” No conditioner. And anyone with actual hair knows body soap and even basic shampoo are not the same. No washcloth provided. Just a body towel and some kind of small hand towel I tried to dry my hair with. For all that, I’d have forgiven the weird decision to provide NOTHING if it had been a lower cost, but it was still 200 Euros and not conveniently located (nothing of interest in walking distance). The icing on the cake was being awoken at like 7am to loud construction. There was only one tiny window that opened only a tiny bit ( and no air conditioning), so I not only had a hot room, but my one lame attempt to cool it down only served to let in the noise.

I prezzi di Bergen invogliano a risparmiare un po’ ma questo albergo con completa assenza di personale, senza pulizie giornaliere, senza tv e frigorifero… non vale la pena. Il parcheggio poi è una caccia al tesoro. Non è il loro, ovviamente, e non è abbastanza vicino per scaricare le valigie. Quindi ne abbiamo usati (e pagati) due. Se siete in auto lasciate stare.

Senga var god (subjektivt såklart) men putene virka billige. Ikke frokost (kunne kjøpes til. God dusj og nyrevonert bad. Lite koselig: ingen tv eller kjøleskap. Fant ut siste dag at det var felles kjøleskap i første etg. Ok til å sove. Men bor ikke der igjen dessverre.

Kjedelig at det ikke var tv på rommet. Ellers alt ok. Sentralt og lettvint. Store rom. Ingen kjøleskap på rommet. Også litt kjedelig når en kun drikker kalde drikker. Og skulle hatt det avkjølt.

Rommet er helt greit, men har ikke TV. Badet er veldig lite, og man sitter nesten under vasken når man sitter på do. Ekstremt dårlig trykk på vannet i dusjen, så det er vanskelig å vaske langt hår.

Var veldig grei løsning ved innsjekking og servicen var upåklagelig! Jeg opplevde litt problemer med referanse koden som jeg fikk ved bestilling men hun som jobbet i resepsjonen hjalp meg med ny kode. De har kontaktløs inn og utsjekking og alt gikk sømløst!

Fine hotel, 3 stars, only staff available at reception and one wasn’t very helpful, she’s on her mobile all the time, didn’t seem please when I keep asking question, the other staff was nice and pleasant. We had a hard time to check in since their system does not work with Expedia confirmation number and they don't have reception desk so we had to wait for their guest office to resolve our issue. Also a little pricy for what you get. Overall it was a good and clean hotel and had good access to public transportation.

I understand the self check in process, but it is nice to have an employee there to ask questions. When I needed help, an assistant came, but acted rushed and annoyed. I was given an automatic "upgrade", which I was told because someone else needed my room. It was a bunch of bunk beds that made the space very cramped. I would have preferred asking or giving me what I booked this time around. Also, not sure what was going on most on the night on the floor above me, wether it was moving furniture or bodies, but it was VERY loud. The bathroom was nice though and decent lighting unlike most hotel bathrooms. I was trying to work late and had to move to the bed because the curtain did not cover the desk area. Overall the venue was nicer outside the actual room.

Vi var to par som bodde 3 netter på Citybox Bergen Danmarksplass. Selv om vi visste det på forhånd, ble det en litt spesiell opplevelse. Det begynte med innsjekking som foregikk elektronisk. Ingen problem med dette. Rommene var ganske store og velholdte. På forhånd visste vi at de var enkelt utstyrt, bl. a. uten tv og safe. Dette for å gjøre oppholdet mer rimelig. Rommene ble heller ikke rengjort, men dette betydde ikke så mye da oppholdet vårt bare var på tre netter. Hotellet ligger 2-3 kilometer unna Bergen sentrum. Man kan gå, men ønsker man ikke dette, går bybanen i Bergen rett utenfor. Billett kan man kjøpe på automat. Vi prøvde ikke maten på hotellets to restauranter. Nær hotellet lå det flere andre steder, men der var det lite aktivitet, muligens pga fellesferie. Meget fornøyd med mitt opphold. God seng, reint på rommet, bra bad med god dusj. Selv om systemet ikke fant min booking, så fikk jeg utrolig god hjelp ved innsjekking. Hadde ikke fått SMS som skal sendes til meg hvor nummer for innsjekking skal være vedlagt.

I didn't receive the check-in code so i was not able to automatically check-in. Fortunately a staff member was present and helped me to complete the process. Breakfast not included but there is a good option at the coffee shop in the premises with affordable prices (according to norwegian standards)

Nær atkomst fra bybanen på Danmarks plass, savner skrivebord og ordentlig stol. Kunne vært greit med kjøleskap. Frokosten som man kunne kjøpe var begrenset i utvalg og kvalitet. God seng og lite støy veier opp, dusjen var god og det virket rent. Fin sitteplass med utsikt i bred vinduskarm. Sov godt og det var fint å sitte i sola på ettermiddagen på restauranten Jaja.

Located less than 5 minutes from Danmarksplass tram stop (on the direct line from the airport to Bergen city centre), this was in the perfect location for me. The hotel was clean, felt safe and was a very good price. It was unusual to not have a TV in the room - but I didn't need on anyway. The hotel had a luggage storeroom which I was able to access before check-in - this allowed me to drop my bags mid-morning and go into the city centre for the day. The hotel has a partner restaurant on site (offering a discount for hotel users) and there in another restaurant immediately under the hotel - plus plenty of takeaway places, some shops and a coffee shop within 2 mins walk. There is also a communal area in reception with access to a kettle, microwave etc - and there was a vending machine and coffee machine if needed. I would very happily stay here again.

Sehr gut an die Straßenbahn, Tram, angebunden. Von der Haltestelle ca 3 min zu Fuß entfernt. Sauber praktisch einfaches Hotel. Frühstück kostet extra, ist aber reichhaltig und sehr gute Auswahl. Man kann aber auch eigenes Essen mitbringen. Sehr gutes Burgerbistro , Pizzeria und andere in Gehreichweite. Empfehlenswert gerne wieder.

Had a very wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms and the hotel itself were very clean. It has a beautiful waiting area for guests to relax. The staff were super nice too and very helpful. The other good thing about this hotel is the location- just 2-3 mins walk to the street car and within 10 mins you are in the Bergen city center. The same streetcar takes you to the airport, train and bus terminals as well.

Love the location. Great rate. Very simple but clean. The only thing that might throw people is the shower and bathroom are all open. No shower door. Staff was very helpful we were trying to track down a place to get a passport photo done and the front office girl told us that we could get it done at the Oslo airport where we were flying(she was correct). Also had a computer so we could print out documentation.
