The Clarion is located in an excellent spot to be able to walk to most sightseeing destinations. The staff is helpful and courteous. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. The bar area is cozy and a great place to chat, play cards or just have a drink in the evening. We would definitely stay at the Clarion again.

Very well located in the sentrum of Bergen and near of Bryggen and Mont Floyen by walking ! The room was clean and the breakfast was amazing with a lot of choices. They also have free coffee machine ! I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Bergen.

Hotel Clarion Bergen Check-in was painless. Staff are polite, friendly, and efficient. I was particularly impressed with the helpfulness of one of the people in the housekeeping department. We were lucky enough to go into our room before the usual check in time. Receptionists at check in were knowledgeable, polite, helpful. Bedroom is about 12 ft by 16 ft. There is a desk, 2 nice chairs, and a small table in the bedroom.The bathroom is modern with nice fixtures. The room is very clean. I would say the one thing that I would have liked more of, would be more outlets. In addition none of the outlets or electrical fixtures had USB ports to charge your devices. You will have to bring your own type c electrical outlet adapter and or AC plug with its USB ports. Unlike the other Clarion Hotels that we stayed in, only breakfast was complimentary. The breakfast was very nice with many similar options offered in the other Clarion hotels we stayed in. Service in the dining room was very very good. The hotel is located near many shops and restaurants as well as a bus stop. It is also very close to the harbor. There is public parking (for a fee) near the hotel. Since we rented a car, we used it. The fee was 33 Kron per day. Using this parking was very, very easy and self explanatory. I believe the the hotel also has a limited # of parking slots. Overall I was extremely happy with my stay there, and would definitely stay there again.

It was nice and convenient to everything. It was a little annoying to say when you wanted breakfast in the morning. On the other hand, the breakfast was out of the world. The sauna was broken which was disappointing.

The room was comfortable although the windows did not provide any view. The staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with a wide range of offerings. The hotel stored our bags after checkout until we were ready to collect them. The only negative was that the hotel was a bit hard to find walking from the lightrail station.

We spent 2 nights in late August. The hotel is in a great location to the waterfront and a short walk to the Floibanen funicular. There is a public parking lot under the hotel. Amazing morning buffet is provided. Front desk was helpful with suggestions and directions. And several good restaurants right across the street. They do not allow early checkin but they will store bags.

The Clarion Hotel is well situated not far from the main harbour and close to the funicular railway with lots of restaurants, bars and other amenities close by. The breakfast is, as was promised in the booking information, absolutely fabulous and really sets you up for a good day. The room was a good size and the bed really comfortable. There is some updating of signage required within the hotel - we spent some time trying to find the sauna on the 7th floor only to find it had been located to the gym in the basement!

The hotel has a great location, within walking distance to popular attractions, and the breakfast buffet has a wide variety of options. However, our stay was marred by several issues. The pillows had a musty smell upon arrival. The room was also dim, with confusing light switches, and felt outdated and dusty. On the second day, housekeeping took our towels without replacing them. When we asked for new towels, it took over 30 minutes to replace. Since there were no phones in the room, we had to down go to the front desk several times. We also noticed stains on the new pillows. Again, we asked the front desk for a replacement, waited, then went down again only to find out the staff had changed shifts. Overall, quality and cleanliness issues, in addition to slow service, made our stay less than ideal.

Hyggelige folk på jobb på hotellet. Men rommene er slitne. Det er helg og ikke bygningsarbeidere på jobb. Likevel er det avfall/bygningsrester i gangen som det hadde tatt 2 minutter og rydde. Ser renholdsarbeiderne eller øvrige ansatte dette? Dette ødelegger helhetsinnstrykket.

The location of this hotel in Bergen can not be beat! I was in walking distance of everything and it so refreshing to not have to Uber everywhere. The breakfast was great as well! Lots of options and the breakfast staff was lovely. For the rooms - it is a bit outdated but the beds are super comfortable and for being in the middle of everything it was quiet. My only critique was that the shower situation was challenging. The shower "head" barely stuck out from the wall so I couldn't stand under the water. They did have a handheld shower head to assist but beware of getting water everywhere or being cold. I would say a bathroom update is needed. I was able to look over the outdated rooms considering that the hotel was so perfectly situation in the city.

Breakfast was amazing! The room was lovely, and the bed was very comfy but the bathroom facilites need upgrading. The shower was over the bath and was high to step into and the water from it was spraying over the floor. The area at the harbour was very busy and noisy and we could hear this from our room. Didnt seen like there was double glazing. Its a lovely hotel but wouldn't recommend a room near the harbour front.

The rooms were comfortable but ours was a bit too hot on floor 6. Skylights only opened a little way and the bathroom radiator permanently on red hot unless you press a switch that also knocks out the lights.

Front desk staff were unpleasant and unhelpful. Had booked two deluxe doubles but when we looked at the rooms, one clearly was not a deluxe. Hotel refused to switch out the room or reduce the price. Bathrooms in both rooms were very dated.

Our first stay in Norway, and they set a very high bar. Lovely hotel, comfortable room, kind and helpful staff, amazing breakfast (the best in our 2 weeks in Norway at different hotels every night). Great location to explore Bergen on foot from. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

We did not have working power outlets in our room so the lamps did not work. No offer for extension cords or remedy was offered by reception staff. The following morning, reception staff repeatedly stated that management would email a response to this issue/complaint. I still have not received an email 5 days since checking out from our 2 night stay with this hotel.

Lovely position Excellent breakfast Stay spoiled by sign out at the end when I was significantly overcharged and the receptionist was rude. Thankfully payment was sorted two days later but it was extremely distressing at the time

As others have mentioned, the buffet breakfast is the best I've ever seen. Good location with short walk to everything including the funicular. Easy walk to the coastal ferry (but google the route to avoid hills). There is a nightclub quite close and even on a cold and rainy night we could hear music and yelling until ~2 am. Not terrible with the windows closed, but with no AC this would be problematic in warmer weather.

We were surprised to learn that our reservation also included breakfast (excellent and extensive) and dinner (one entree featured each night with salad, soup & bread), also very good. Also served "Fica", afternoon tea/coffee with cake. Rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious.
