Hadde en flott helg på hotellet. Det var i forbindelse med Whisky & Beer arrangementet. Store flotte lokaler for stands, god pub og restaurant midt i hjertet av Bergen .

Everything is great but the parking. Parking discount works in a very confusing way. They have a discounted rate with a public parking garage. To get the discount, you need to let the front desk know your license plate within an hour of you parking there. The hotel won't take your license plate when you check in, before you parking your car. The lady helped me with checking in wasn't super clear about it. I eventually got the discount by asking the parking garage's staff on duty. I believe the hotel should make this process more straightforward.

Nydelig hotell. Hyggelige ansatte. God frokost. Perfekt lokasjon om du skal videre med tog, buss, eller bruke kollektivtrafikk til flyplassen. Ganske bra gym. Bra rom. Ok senger. Problemet var støy fra naborom og støy fra folk som hadde sammenkomst/ bryllup? på hotellet. Så det ble dårlig med søvn.

Very much enjoyed my stay during the Bergen Marathon weekend. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Lovely whiskey bar, spacious room and convenient access to the train station and light rail. Walking distance to Bergen port. Would stay at this hotel again

Bokade för en natt, för genomresa. Kollade särskilt på sidan så parkering inte skulle vara ett problem, och det angavs att parkering fanns. Väl på plats visade det sig dels att parkeringen var full, dels att det var i princip omöjligt att hitta en parkering i närheten av hotellet. En timme fick vi spendera innan vi hittade någonstans att ställa bilen. Incheckningen var, trots att rummet var förbetalt, otroligt långsam. Rummet i sig var väldigt slitet. Heltäckningsmattan var fläckig och föregående gäst hade efterlämnat sig både matvaror och våtservetter. Om man inte sett dessa när man städat rummet kan man ju fundera på hur noggrannt det var rengjort i övrigt...Balkongen var också full med skräp. Det enda som var fräscht och nytt var badrummet. Frukosten var välfylld och fräsch. Bra service i restaurangen. Byggnaden i sig är ju väldigt speciell och fin, men det väger inte upp för övriga brister i boendet. Kommer inte komma tillbaka eller rekommendera någon annan att bo här.

We stayed here after Radisson cancelled our stay at short notice. So glad they did! The hotel is beautiful, with a lovely 'old world' feel. The breakfast has a brilliant selection (one of the best I've had) and was always fully stocked, even towards the end. Staff are really friendly and attentive. Drinks in the bar are nice although expensive, but expected in Norway. The rooms are small (especially the bathroom) but my parents & I found it perfectly adequate for us, although would appreciate 2 pillows rather than 1 :)

Lovely old hotel with fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. Sadly no airconditioning and as our room was on the western side on a fairly warm day, (mid May) sleeping in a hot room proved difficult. Cannot imagine staying there in summer but happily stay again at a cooler time of the year.

Helt greit rom med litt lite bad. Ikke mulig å åpne vindu på rommet, ingen ventilasjonsanlegg man kunne stille på. Fikk vifte på rommet som hjalp en del. Bra frokost. Beliggenhet litt utenfor sentrumskjernen, men i gangavstand.

Avoid rooms 526-540 which are directly above a concert venue. The music was so loud the room literally shook and didn’t end until 12:45am on a Monday night. Staff wouldn’t shift our rooms and just gave us ear plugs. Everything else about hotel was great except the noise so if you avoid rooms 526-540, you’ll probably have a great experience. Note to hotel: you should invest in better noise insulation in the floor or avoid booking those rooms when events are happening.

Give it an A plus for history and breakfast , cool property, but not so good for sleeping, no AC, windows open but to a noisy lane way, get that property can’t be upgraded for historic reasons, so no AC but definitely could add ceiling fan, or a portable fan for summer temperatures, tiny bathroom but manageable, great location and staff. Just not the best nights sleep

We were only here one night, but it was a nice stay. The hotel is very nice and comfortable. They had a complimentary coffee bar set up which a very nice touch. We had an early train to catch the next morning, so the hotel provided us with breakfast bags since we would miss the included breakfast. The bags had plenty of food including yogurt, a sandwich , fruit and juice. The train station was just across the street from the hotel.

Good location close to train station and walking distance to Bryggen, Floibanen, museums and attractions. Close to Festplassen and music could be heard until about midnight. Older building has been nicely preserved and retains its character. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Parking is in Parkade a couple blocks away.

Rommet var nyoppusset og veldig fint, men det manglet varmtvann i dusjen. En iskald dusj senere, fungerte heller ikke hårføneren. Den var gammel og full av lo, så vifta var tett. Da var komforten med det fine rommet raskt glemt. Frokosten var helt alminnelig, og litt smakløs.

We booked four twin rooms and they were all very different in regards to size, outlook and comfort. Size was a big factor as we, as a couple, could not fit easily into the room with 2 people and two large cases. One of our party had a room where the windows would barely open and the room remained too warm, whereas ours opened freely and and we had a lovely cool breeze through open windows. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Reception staff were open to us changing rooms when available. But this is a busy hotel, so changes were not a given. The breakfast room was large and the quality of the food was high. We also had dinner in the restaurant twice. The first night the food and service was spot on - the second night one main dinner had to be sent back as the fish didn't taste quite 'right'. Three other meals were incomplete (none of the delicious potatoes that we had on night one) Simon the waiter handled the issue with calmness and efficiency and solved the issues immediately. The chef must have had a bad night that second visit? Overall we'd recommend the hotel for location, ambience, cleanliness and the staff- who were efficient and friendly.

We stayed here after Radisson cancelled our stay at short notice. So glad they did! The hotel is beautiful, with a lovely 'old world' feel. The breakfast has a brilliant selection (one of the best I've had) and was always fully stocked, even towards the end. Staff are really friendly and attentive. Drinks in the bar are nice although expensive, but expected in Norway. The rooms are small (especially the bathroom) but my parents & I found it perfectly adequate for us, although would appreciate 2 pillows rather than 1 :)

Tremendous hotel. Stayed overnight, wish now had been a few days. Right by the station, good communications beforehand so I knew exactly the right light rail stop. Never seen such a comprehensive buffet breakfast selection and all included in the price! Don’t hesitate, book it.

Et hyggelig opphold på et luksuriøst hotell. Beliggenheten på hotellet er genial i forhold til kollektivtransport, parkering av bil og bykjernen som nærmeste nabo. Koselig atmosfære på hotellet og på rommet. Mindre bra var utvalget og påfyll av mat under frokostservering. Når en booker en overnatting på et såpass flott hotell, så synes jeg frokosten var kjedelig og mangelfull. Det var 100 ulike frø en kunne ta oppi yoghurtblandingen sin, men ellers lite variasjon. Det var de helt elementære produktene av meieri, kjøttpålegg, frukt og grønt. Burde vært et løft i varmmaten - derav speilegg eller omelett. Dessert «bordet» var ingenting å skryte over. Det var to butterdeigsprodukter som var tilgjengelig, om du var heldig. Samt ostefatet hvor det sto at skulle inneholde tre oster ble aldri fylt på. Som kunde er det ikke min jobb å måtte henvende meg til betjeningen for å si at det har vært tomt for brie hele frokoststuden min på 1,5 time. Ekstremt hyggelig og serviceinnstilt personale, må bemerkes! Men utvalget på frokosten ga ingen wow-effekt, noe som er svært ønskelig under en hotellfrokost.

Couldn't be closer to Bergen Station, it is a lovely hotel with an impressive art collection throughout the public areas of the hotel. Excellent rooms. Wonderful breakfast.

Første gang på dette hotellet. Et hotell med sjel og hadde et fint opphold. Men ved frokost Søndag, ble mat fjernet før 10.30 når frokosten stengte og det ble ikke fyllt på med tebrød som var tomt kl 10.15.
