Very nice hotel. Fun atmosphere. Very comfy beds and nice room. When my daughter asked for water they gave us each a nice cup with water & ice in a drink carrier. Very convenient location to church and California’s Great America right up the street. Very convenient built in diner and Starbucks at the hotel. Had a very nice little yard area by the pool with outside games. It was a little deceiving that online it didn’t show that the rooms were with the doors to the outside as in there was no interior corridors because I didn’t get that impression looking at the pictures on the website and I was genuinely surprised when we arrived but I do appreciate that they do have gates that you have to use your room key to access to go into the area where the rooms are so even though the doors go to the outside and there’s no interior corridor it still feels secure because of the gate you have to go through to get to the area where the hotel rooms are . The only negative thing that makes me wonder how well they check things is that upon check in the body wash in the shower was completely out as in I couldn’t get a single drop out. Of course just checking in it should be well filled and ready to go. Overall it was very reasonable and a great location so I’d stay here again.

They didn’t allow us to park in front of the hotel while I checked in. The security made me wait in the back parking

Staff was friendly, my room was clean, but the way to get in that isn’t a main entrance was tricky because the pavement is not surfaced

The staff was great with the exception of Damian. I have never had someone be more hostile and rude at a hotel or in any hospitality for that matter. I have stayed at the hotel several times and it has always been a great experience. It’s beyond me how the guy is actually a manager. Story is to long to tell here but if someone from that hotel or Hilton wants to chat then I am happy to tell the whole story. Bottom line is even if the guy was having a bad day and took it out on me there is no way he should be a manager

I stayed here to attend a training at UC Santa Cruz satellite campus. The hotel is about 5 minutes, if that, from the campus. There are many places to eat all around this area. Check out the Santa Clara Plaza on the other side of the freeway where you'll find Fleming's Steak House, Chipotle, and many other shops. On the same side of the hotel, there is a Wing StopPizza My Heart, and sandwich shop, and an Iguana's (known for their giant burritos). Conveniently located off the Hwy 101, the hotel had plenty of free parking all around the hotel, a Starbuck's next door, and a restaurant onsite. The room had a very comfortable bed with great bedding and nice bathroom. Check in was easy and quick. The only reason why I didn't give it all 5 stars was that the carpet felt damp and I was uncomfortable walking on it without socks or shoes. The parking area to left (next to the Indian restaurant) had a weird vibe to me...like someone might break into my car or maybe people aimlessly wander through that side of the parking lot. Could've just been me. Woke up the next morning and all was fine. I will stay here again. My only regret is that I didn't have time to enjoy the pool area.
