Great hotel with newly decorated rooms and interiors. Food was excellent in the bistro. Staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Only 10 mins into the city by bus which was very handy. Pool, hot tub and all leisure facilities were very clean and welcoming after a long day sightseeing. Will definitely return if I’m ever back in Galway.

We didn't have enough time to explore Galway but enjoyed our stay here. The reception staff was very friendly and handed me a nice free drink that was much appreciated (and needed). The room was very modern and clean with a comfortable bed and good TV. Parking is convenient and right next to the hotel. In a nice section of town and convenient to coffee shops and shopping.

Rooms are large and the layout is good for families. Nice to have a leisure club attached, (had the most amazing beach, neck and shoulders massage!). You’ll need a car to get into the city centre.

Lovely atmosphere in the lobby area, but would suggest a play area for children and also re-configure the changing room for women/children as flight of stairs is difficult to manage to/from the swimming pool and same also need to get through the gym area before/after swim which brings up a safety and privacy issue!

Stained bed sheets, mould in the bathroom,broken lamp leaning against the wall. Went for a nap during the day only to be awoken by housekeeping banging on the door and persisted to enter even though it was locked. Complaints went to front desk. Zero response from management. Avoid

Overall, the stay was good value. The food was good and was well priced. Service was fantastic. Found it kid-friendly even though I heard other guests complaining about having their kids cautioned by staff,. The leisure centre was fantastic. The only negative: The hotel room carpet was stained in multiple places had seen better days.

This hotel is in a beautiful setting! Beautiful interior and the hotel is spotless… The courtyard Restaurant serves lovely food at a reasonable price. Plenty of variety for breakfast. Easy parking and wonderful facilities. Very helpful staff.

Excellent service and size of room. Very good food in restaurant. The room is not the same as the one on the pictures, we got a room who wasn't refurbished. Stained carpet and walls, old bathroom with shower curtain, cracked sink and damaged bath). No fridge or safe.

There isn’t much to do in this area. We felt the hotel was really expensive for what it offers. However, apparently they had a huge racing event, which would explain why prices were high everywhere. There is no AC in their rooms, so our entire stay was pretty unbearable because of the heat. You can skip the breakfast options. I don’t think it’s worth €15.

Hotel shower was rusty and so old fashioned , just a bath and the standing shower over head , no even an option for hand hold. Room didn’t have air conditioning and through the open windows was very noisy . Definitely doesn’t reflect the price I have paid to the comfort I have received

We stayed in the superior family room (me, my husband & 5yo little boy) and it was very spacious and clean. Found it very quiet, no ambient noises. Very impressed with the facilities - my little boy loved the pool. He also loved the pancake maker at breakfast. A lot of variety at breakfast. Good parking. Good location for Salthill, Galway City & Connemara. Really needs aircon though - even though we asked for a fan, which they provided, it would’ve been better with aircon and expected from a 4 star establishment.

On arrival reception looked really nice and staff very friendly. Our room wqs very nice and modern but the bed wasnt very comfortable at all. We were wakened very early due to the traffic outside and the light also shone through the bottom of the door all night.

We booked two adjoining rooms at the hotel for a two night stay. Staff were very polite and friendly and the hotel was clean. Bedroom was newly refurbished however this did not extend to the bathrooms of both rooms. Showers in both rooms did not work. Cold water and no water pressure. Brought the issue to the attention of management after day one and a service person was sent to repair. Repair did not work and despite reporting again to hotel there was no further progress. Mentioned to manager at checkout who agreed to investigate but I never heard back. Disappointing, as apart from the issue with the bathroom, the hotel was adequate.

One over night say in a double room which was very clean and comfortable. However the bathrooms is dated and needs a face lift , mainly the shower unit is in the bath tub. A walk in shower shower in this day should be the norm.

Very nice hotel. The room was well appointed. We had a nice dinner with great service despite it being near closing time. The buffet breakfast was also quite good. The only negative was that we had to leave the window open to cool the room (no a/c) and at 07:00am, a garbage truck loaded a filled garbage container and the construction crew working in the hotel started tossing construction materials into the emptied skip (right below our window)!

There were some minor service issues , towels were not replaced when asked, we were in a triple room that had facilities for 2 guests.. cups,tea tray,towels etc. Hence towels were a premium item and had to be shared not ideal .

The customer service from staff and management at the Clybaun was exemplary. They could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable, and memorable. It’s hard to believe this hotel considered a 4-star hotel. Check-in left much to be desired and no one offered to assist us with bags. One elevator for all the rooms? Our room was the farthest away from said elevator; two hallways from an exit. There was in fact an exit, but it was listed as staff only and was blocked with laundry carts. This would be incredibly dangerous in the event of a fire. Additionally the drain was missing from our shower, leaving a large hole in which I stepped and twisted my ankle. All in all, not a bad place to stay, just needs work.

Loved it, very clean hotel, staff friendly, food was good, only issue that we had was our television reception is room was bad, tv screen kept glitching, impossible to watch anything with the kids, we mentioned it at reception but wasnt resolved. Only a small issue, other than that, we highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel lesuire area was great hot tub great, gym fantastic! I found the hotel restaurant very expensive considering the price of the hotel per night, i enjoyed my experience there, but found.it quite expensive
