everybody was so kind and friendly. Valet parking and huge breakfast served to table. Great spacious room with lake view. Perfect stay...but 15 euros an hour in spa is stupid. the room price is costly so do not hit us with extras by the hour....good luck G Hotel. N

It was not disclosed upfront that gym was under construction and we were told to pay for a gym in the area. View looked directly into a shopping center with trash and delivery trucks directly outside window. A complaint to the manager was answered 2 weeks after we left. The rest of the staff were friendly and professional .

This was a great hotel. We went to the spa and the massage therapists were excellent and the facilities were well maintained. The room was very comfortable, large, quiet and clean. The location is a few minutes by taxi to the main part of Galway or a 25 minute walk. It was not an inconvenience at all. The staff were very friendly.

The bed was really hard and the hotel is in need of some maintenance. I asked for a mattress topper but never received one. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very good. The massage therapists were both very good but the spa itself needs some work. Not everything worked. Also way too dark in the spa and the hotel hallways. No mirror to blow dry your hair and no plug in the bathroom??

Great location just out of downtown Galway. Great parking underground with good access and plenty of availability. Modern hotel with clean rooms and great facilities. We did not have breakfast in the hotel, but did eat in the lounge and found excellent food and service. Excellent accommodations for a visit to Galway.

There were significant renovations happening around our rooms. Construction spaces were wide open and there was a lot of construction dust/dirt visible on walls and baseboards.

Great room, big, comfortable, big bathroom with double shower. All good. Spa less so. 15 euros for guests, which is fine but and while it looks the part it's small, stuff didn't work (the steam room was shut) and lots of the reclining beds in the upstairs chill out area (which is a lovely space) didn't work. I fed this back to spa staff, paid, and then got an email saying they'd give a refund. It never arrived. Pointed this out and was sent a refund receipt (a refund for double the amount I'd paid but it was to someone else, so they must have complained too) . Pointed this out and was promised a refund but it's not been made so I give up and would say nice hotel on edge of a retail park, bit of a walk into town (a good 25 mins), and customer service needs a rethink.

From the moment you walk through the door, it's 5-star service! Absolutely beautiful and glamorous throughout and spotlessly clean with a glorious scent fantastically infused everywhere you go. We were only booked for a night but would gladly have loved to stay longer indeed! The Grand Salon dinner was scrumptious, delicious, and all the good things. Diana was a superb server and all the items were top-notch tasty - hummus with roasted veg, the g smash burger with chips, and the green curry with chicken, and ended with the best sticky toffee pudding ever - oh my, what a meal! The room has the details perfectly done. One feels as if you've stepped into 1930s Hollywood but with all the modern comforts, with even a nice note from attendant. The bathroom is spectacular with a deep freestanding tub, a 2-person shower with excellent water pressure, and beautifully bergamot and jasmine scented soaps, lotions, shampoo, and conditioner. This is truly a fabulous property in every way and we're delighted to bits to have stayed here!

Property was a walk to the city. The room was in need of major cleaning. Dirty caulk around the vanity and tub that needs to be removed and redone. Dirty walls in the bath need to be repainted.

I was not impressed for a five star hotel. Found prescription drugs in my bathroom upon arrival that the team had to remove. I had a long walk to my room that had a huge neon sign in the window. The beds were uncomfortable, the hotel is in front of a major intersection with constant traffic worse than an airport hotel and impossible to cross the street. The restaurant was not open when I arrived and when they were open they have limited hours. The room service was limited pizza and sandwiches. The hotel is not close to bars and city centre. They should have a shuttle if they are this far away from any restaurants or local attractions. The front lobby was nice looking however that is where it ends. Everything was booked so I couldn’t relocated. The one positive was the very nice massage I received at the spa before heading out.

We were dissapointed this time as we had stayed a few years previously but the facilities especially the Spa were lacking in particular the cleaniness level very poor plus facilities ie heated loungers in spa area, three not working and the other three luke warm, the water fall wall all covered in lime scale, the chill out room upstairs, floors filthy, the pillowed U shaoed cushions, the grey pillowcases all dirty and not cleaned regularly. The view from this area outside again dirty with light strips hanging off, leaves and unkempt garden ( aware its winter) exposed wires, rotting wooden planters, all very dissapointing plus the over crowding of the spa area, there are 6 loungers but we experienced 9 persons in the zone. The pool area was full of guests and not relaxing for anybody! Bedroom was nice but on entry we had a strong toxic smell in the room, turns out they had resiliconed the shower. The televisión didnt work, a member of staff came up and confirmed it wasnt working but unfortunately no maintenance available and next day was New years eve. There were Gaza protestors outside the hotel also which was uncomfortable also. Overall my review unfortunately is dissapointing which is a shame as the hotel has the potential to be 5 stars all the ways but cleaning & maintenance needs addressing. wall

It was ok. Tub was dirty and we cleaned it. Faucet was broken. Was told it would be fixed the next day. It wasn’t. Volume control knob totally broken. Never fixed. Just attention to details was poor. Breakfast was skimpy as well.

Had a really lovely stay at G Hotel. Rooms were large and had everything we needed and more. The lounge areas and restaurant are quite pretty and newly updated. The room itself was also recently updated. We enjoyed the deep soaking tub and bath salts. The beds, pillows, and linens were all very comfy. It’s a bit outside the downtown - a quick cab ride. The hallways were a bit dated but there is a sign saying they know and are working on updates. Overall pleased and would stay here again.

The air conditioning didn't work the first night so the room was too hot and didn't sleep well. They did bring fans and have it fixed the next day. Staff was good. Hotel was being worked on so there was some noise. Alright place... a little dated carpet was worn, bathroom floor had spots on it... not dirty just like stained. Appears it is being updated.

Modern hotel 15 minutes drive from the city centre. Food in the evening very good, breakfast was OK, however had to repeat requests multiple times before actioned by waiting staff Room was very noisy with constant clanging outside the window all night

The G Hotel and Spa combines modern decor with great service. The colors are bold and adventurous: hot pink, purple, orange, silver. We highly recommend guests pay the fee for use of the Spa's Thermal Suite, which is a slice of relaxation heaven with a large hot tub, powerful water jets, two kinds of saunas, a rainfall shower, heated chaise lounges, and an ice bath. The food was great! However, it was difficult to reach the front desk with questions either by phone or in person. When I asked a staffer about the thermal suite, he did not know and told me to call the spa. I did not get an answer, so we went by the spa instead (and were able to book a time). The valet placed water bottles in our car without us asking. The hotel location is somewhat removed from the Galway action but is easily accessible to major roads should you wish to explore the area. It was about a 25-30 minute walk from the hotel to the Latin Quarter. If you go (and you should!), be sure to visit the Quay's Bar and Restaurant for awesome Irish music! I highly recommend Afternoon Tea in one of the lounges. They did a great job accommodating my gluten-free requirements. However, when they brought out my food and the waiter told me about everything on my plate, he and I both realized that the kitchen staff had accidentally placed a gluten-containing plate on my tea server. If I had not been paying attention, that could have been disastrous. So, if you have to be gluten-free, be on your toes.

The food was great! However, it was difficult to reach the front desk with questions either by phone or in person. When I asked a staffer about the thermal suite, he did not know and told me to call the spa. I did not get an answer, so we went by the spa instead (and were able to book a time). The valet placed water bottles in our car without us asking. The hotel location is somewhat removed from the Galway action but is easily accessible to major roads should you wish to explore the area. It was about a 25-30 minute walk from the hotel to the Latin Quarter. If you go (and you should!), be sure to visit the Quay's Bar and Restaurant for awesome Irish music! I highly recommend Afternoon Tea in one of the lounges. They did a great job accommodating my gluten-free requirements. However, when they brought out my food and the waiter told me about everything on my plate, he and I both realized that the kitchen staff had accidentally placed a gluten-containing plate on my tea server. If I had not been paying attention, that could have been disastrous. So, if you have to be gluten-free, be on your toes.

The G hotel is a lovely choice for anyone staying in Galway. Overall, the hotel style is very unique and beautiful. You can tell in some areas though that the hotel is starting to show its age and could use some refurbishing in our guest room the shower nozzle that controlled the temperature was completely broken, causing for freezing showers for the first portion of our stay, and then extremely hot showers for the final portion of our stay. Service could also be improved. I found myself often completely ignored by the staff in the bar areas. I would consider staying again but would likely seek out other options such as The Dean.

The Staff are fantastic. The Spa is really nice and relaxing. My son ordered wings on the second night and to our horror one of the wings had been partially eaten…my son asked me if I was playing a joke on him putting it back but I immediately got one of the managers to make him aware of this. To my disappointment, he said he would get us another basket and that he would “have a word with the kitchen”. My son declined the offer of another order of wings as the whole incident had made him lose his appetite. We were disappointed to see that the wings were not removed from the bill even though most of them were not eaten.

This was a great hotel. We went to the spa and the massage therapists were excellent and the facilities were well maintained. The room was very comfortable, large, quiet and clean. The location is a few minutes by taxi to the main part of Galway or a 25 minute walk. It was not an inconvenience at all. The staff were very friendly.

Great location just out of downtown Galway. Great parking underground with good access and plenty of availability. Modern hotel with clean rooms and great facilities. Had a really lovely stay at G Hotel. Rooms were large and had everything we needed and more. The lounge areas and restaurant are quite pretty and newly updated. The room itself was also recently updated. We enjoyed the deep soaking tub and bath salts. The beds, pillows, and linens were all very comfy. It’s a bit outside the downtown - a quick cab ride. The hallways were a bit dated but there is a sign saying they know and are working on updates. Overall pleased and would stay here again.

If you're staying in Galway and you don't need to be right in Eyer Square, the g Hotel is an excellent choice. It is quiet, well-appointed, with a super helpful staff. The breakfasts are wonderful and the bar(s) and sitting rooms are comfortable and inviting. Getting to Eyer Square isn't a problem as there's a bus stop just opposite the hotel.

We were happy that 1 of our 2 rooms was upgraded. The 2nd room was not ready for an hour after check in so they bought us a drink. There was ongoing construction on our floor that was noisy. The halls were very dark. Parking is in an underground garage shared with retail strip mall. Wellpak area where hotel is located is a good 20-25 min walk to the center of Galway tourist area & restaurants. Otherwise, the room was clean, beds were comfortable and service was good.

From the moment you walk through the door, it's 5-star service! Absolutely beautiful and glamorous throughout and spotlessly clean with a glorious scent fantastically infused everywhere you go. We were only booked for a night but would gladly have loved to stay longer indeed! The Grand Salon dinner was scrumptious, delicious, and all the good things. Diana was a superb server and all the items were top-notch tasty - hummus with roasted veg, the g smash burger with chips, and the green curry with chicken, and ended with the best sticky toffee pudding ever - oh my, what a meal! The room has the details perfectly done. One feels as if you've stepped into 1930s Hollywood but with all the modern comforts, with even a nice note from attendant. The bathroom is spectacular with a deep freestanding tub, a 2-person shower with excellent water pressure, and beautifully bergamot and jasmine scented soaps, lotions, shampoo, and conditioner. This is truly a fabulous property in every way and we're delighted to bits to have stayed here!

Great stay. Staff super friendly and courteous. Rooms was in perfect condition and bigger than expected. ESPA products are very high end and the extra perks of Chocolates, Tattoo and free of charge water was a really nice touch. Breakfast was again above expectations and the staff were excellent.

The staff at the front desk were very good. The issue is with the food service staff. We asked for our check(after dinner) and our server went to 2-3 other tables, where there 4 to 6 diners at each table. They were asking separate checks at one table and to divide the check at the other table. The presumed manager stopped to inquire about our meal and we asked him to please get our check, which he promptly did. We informed him we had been waiting 20 minutes for our bill. He apologized and was very nice. We were at the elevator and she was still at the table messing with separate checks. We were two people. She also never checked on us. We had to ask someone else for water, etc. Breakfast was better but…the last day I asked for scrambled eggs dry-I told her they could “burn”the eggs, and crisp, well done bacon. Well, it must have been Opposite Day in the kitchen, because I received barely cooked bacon and really wet scrambled eggs. I sent the eggs back and they came back basically the same. The servers’ for breakfast were nicer and tried to accommodate you, but in the evening, at least the young lady we had, wasn’t much help. The hotel itself is lovely. The dining areas on the main floor are lovely, the first one, with the fireplace is beautiful.

I was not impressed for a five star hotel. Found prescription drugs in my bathroom upon arrival that the team had to remove. I had a long walk to my room that had a huge neon sign in the window. The beds were uncomfortable, the hotel is in front of a major intersection with constant traffic worse than an airport hotel and impossible to cross the street. The restaurant was not open when I arrived and when they were open they have limited hours. The room service was limited pizza and sandwiches. The hotel is not close to bars and city centre. They should have a shuttle if they are this far away from any restaurants or local attractions. The front lobby was nice looking however that is where it ends. Everything was booked so I couldn’t relocated. The one positive was the very nice massage I received at the spa before heading out.

I've reviewed the hotel stay separately through a survey from them. Overall this is a beautiful hotel and was a lovely place to stay. We would have spent more money dining at the hotel had it been better staffed; it was too difficult to get service when we were hungry. But goodness, if you get a chance to stay here, take it! We absolutely loved our room and our view. The hotel itself is just beautiful.
