Nice hotel. Staff very courteous and helpful. Unfortunately we couldn’t get internet on the TV which hampered our hope of catching a few movies on Netflix. The swimming pool was strictly on a pre-booking basis with a limitation of 1hr per morning and afternoon/evening. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel.

Had a one night stay at the Parkavon Hotel . Staff were brilliant , were accommodated on a last minute request for the pool for a group of 8 . Nice stay and the paid breakfast was also quite nice . There was complimentary parking for guests but finding a parking apace could be tricky during summer months as Killarney is teeming with tourists .

Had a lovely stay, room was fine, breakfast was lovely. Had to book the pool and was told to leave after 40minutes as there was another group arriving… 40 minutes after getting 2 children ready for some pool fun was not enough and wasn’t worth the hassle. If I had known this I wouldn’t have brought them. The pool staff, she was extremely rude. Had dinner in the bar in the evening, food was ok but again staff didn’t come to our table once, didn’t get asked if we wanted desserts, teas or coffees etc

We had a great stay at the Parkavon. Easy walk from the hotel into Killarney town center with lots of dining options, and also to the Gleneagle INEC. The room was spacious and clean. Good selection of hot and cold items at the breakfast buffet. The pool and saunas were nice to unwind in after long days of walking and exploring.

Für eine Familie perfekt. Sauber, schöner Pool, super Lage. war alles top. Das Mobiliar ist aber ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Was völlig im Kontrast zum Hotel steht, ist die miserable Bewertung des Restaurants, darum gingen wir nicht dorthin speisen und können kein Urteil dazu abgeben. Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer mit zwei Zimmern, die Verbindungstüre ist so massiv, dass wir einen Koffer benötigten, um die Türe offenzuhalten. Ein Türstopper wäre wünschenswert. Gewöhnungsbedürftig war auch, dass die Nutzung des Pools reserviert werden musste, was aber kein Problem darstellte.

Had a great stay. Hotel was clean and comfortable from the inside . Could do with a tidy up on the outside. Weeds, pavement etc. Hotel staff were really lovely, and very helpful. We used the pool twice, which has hourly slots that you need to book. Again the attendees were very pleasant and helpful. The furniture in the bedrooms could do with an update. Overall we had a lovely time due to the cleanliness and comfort of our room and the lovely staff x

The Parkavon is fine, although not special. It was mostly very clean (although there were hairs in my sink when I arrived), and my room under the eaves was pleasant. It has a slightly tired look -- the carpets are particularly threadbare -- and it is quite far out of town (a 15 minute walk). But the price was good, and the staff was generally helpful.

I arrived a few hours after the allowed check in time and my room they gave me was not cleaned. Hair in shower on floor of tub and walls. Also what looked like finger or toenail clippings. I went to use the toilet and it was stained with poop. I asked for another room that was clean. They said we will give you a renovated room that are only located in the 3rd floor. Then the offered me free breakfast for the morning and told me to book a time with them. I told them 8am. When I arrived the next morning the staff had no idea what I was talking about and said I had to pay. I had to go back and forth with them until they finally said they found the note. I finally ate at 10am. It was only two days and one night and honestly that’s all I could take. Also my room looked out to the side of thier building which had long untrimmed grass and what looked liked an old broken down child’s toy car and bench.

Das Hotel ist insgesamt in Ordnung. Pluspunkte sind die gute Lage, das freundliche Personal, die Größe der Zimmer und der Pool. Insgesamt ist das Hotel sauber und gepflegt. Die Einrichtung des Hotels und die Badezimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen, die Zimmer sind recht abgewohnt. Das Frühstück war gut, könnte aber ebenfalls ein Update vertragen. We had a very nice stay of 3 nights in the Parkavon hotel. The staff is very helpful and professional. They gladly help when needed. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was recently renovated. The beds were comfortable. The furniture and rest of the equipment though was a bit outdated and in need of maintenance.

Very convenient location to access with our rental car. Thin doors did not muffle noisy children in the hallway late at night (past 10:30pm). Also had issues with lamps in our room - needed a tutorial on how to turn on/off one without the other two also going on/off. Weird wiring. Everything else was great and would recommend in general.

Fine for what we needed it for. We wanted to drive the Ring of Kerry so the location was good. Rooms are dated and feel a bit dirty, the bathroom also had no fan so the steam was crazy if you took a warm shower and made everything damp. Breakfast was also really pricy for what it was. Overall fine for location but pretty much what you’d expect for a 3 star.

The hotel was excellent and I would have given it a top rating, except there was a problem with the dead bolt on the bathroom door. The mechanism was loose. It locked, but it didn't unlock. I found this out while in the bathroom. I spent almost half an hour locked in the bathroom. A staff member came and couldn't figure it out, so he went to get... the bar manager to help. During this time, I managed to figure out how to maneuver the loose mechanism to open the door. It didn't appear that there was any way to disassemble the door from the outside, so I suppose eventually they would have kicked the door in? When I went to check out, nothing had been passed along. When I informed the desk, the manager was very apologetic... but offered me only a free breakfast. The hotel was great otherwise, but I was not impressed by their response. The bathroom had no windows / vents / fan or anything, and it was becoming quite hot during that half hour.

The restaurant/ bar had horrible service. No servers, went with my family and we were never attended despite telling the bar staff we were there in a table waiting for someone to come. We had to leave to another restaurant.

This hotel was like an oasis of calm and comfort. It offered a suitable and knowledgeable starting point to exploring the Killarney lakes on foot or shopping in town. Breakfast was in a very pleasant room and provided a healthy start to each day. Staff were extremely honest and phoned when we left valuables in room.

We had a great stay at the Parkavon. Easy walk from the hotel into Killarney town center with lots of dining options, and also to the Gleneagle INEC. The room was spacious and clean. The location was ok. The room furnishings were old (1950-1960s) and very worn. The breakfast buffet was terrible and not worth the cost. The only dinner food was in the bar. The food was average, but my granddaughter ended up with food posioning and this was the only place she ate before getting sick.

The pool was small but warm. The room was big. Got food in the bar & i ended up with food poisoning. I was up for most of the night vomiting. The manger refunded tue price of our meal & apologiesed. It made the stay less enjoyable

Great location for exploring the Ring of Kerry and Killarney which is the primary reason we wanted to be here. The restaurant and pub are decent; front desk was very helpful. Parking is easy. Walkable to downtown Killarney. Hotel room was nothing fantastic but nothing terrible either. Location is key here.
