The Grimaldi was an excellent hotel for the one night stay we planned for Nice. Just 12 minutes easy walk from Nice Ville station, we were greeted by very pleasant staff with an offer for free coffee which we needed after our train journey. The room was excellent. Very comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroom and easy access via the old fashioned lift. Super quiet at night. We slept well. Breakfast was more than adequate. Better than many hotels and just the right selection of hot and cold, sweet and savory for our needs. On our departure, we were sent our way by the super cheerful Ellen who is a model of perfect hospitality. We would stay again and recommend to anyone coming to Nice.

Great location that is walking distance to everything. The staff was wonderful upon check out, to answer questions and organizing a car for the airport. The bar downstairs offers water, tea and coffee which is lovely. Nothing fancy about the hotel - the room was basic but comfortable. Bathrooms are tiny but overall we had a very enjoyable stay. Thanks so much!

L'hotel è in un palazzo storico per questo sicuramente penalizzato negli interni soprattutto nei corridoi di accesso alle camere. La struttura risulta essere trascurata, presenza di polvere, stucchi saltati, rifiniture da vedere, sanitari da lucidare, asciugamani di scarsa qualità. Il prezzo alto sicuramente è per la posizione che risulta essere vicina al centro. L'insonorizzazione è scarsa per non dire nulla, si sentiva tutto dalla camera accanto. L'ascensore spesso bloccato (noi siamo stati meno di 20 ore e per ben due volte abbiamo fatto 5 piani a piedi, una volta con le valige). Staff carino e gentile. Lodevole l'assenza di plastica, l'acqua si poteva prendere da un distributore disponibile gratuitamente per tutti. Il letto matrimoniale erano due letti singoli accostati e fatti singolarmente. Per chi arriva in auto ci sono dei parcheggi nei paraggi ad un costo elevato, l'hotel non ha alcuna convenzione, noi abbiamo pagato 28,50 per meno di 24 ore di sosta. Colazione varia, croissant e pain au chocolat (vuoto) e cotti troppo.

Centre of Nice, short walk to the promenade, welcoming hotel with complimentary water and coffee available in reception. Would have given 5 starts but shower was very awkward to use at end of bath in tiny room. No hotel parking and car parks in centre are 30+ euros a day.

The hotel is a small hotel in a quiet street in the centre of Nice, close to the main shoping centre and walkable to the beach, the seafront and old town. No dining facilities but there are Michelin recommended restaurants in the same street. Focused on sustainabiltiy with several in-room ideas for conserving water and energy, most of which also reduce the hotel's costs. Particularly appreciate the replacement of plastic water bottles with self-service filtered water which with which you filll the galls bottles they provide. 'Superior' room was comfortable and pleasanly decorated in tradtional style. We particularly appreciated the comfortable bed. The small bathroom was cramped, required some agility to get in and out of the bathtub and was supplied with only large towel. Our stay was interruped by a fire alarm at 1am, apparently caused by a guest's cigarette but unnecessarily prolonged because no staff member knew how to turn off the alarm. Decoration work was going on in the reception area throughout our stay but only disruptive when the elevator was out of service for 12 hours - happily not when we had to take our baggage up to the third floor.

Fin frukostbuffé som man kunde välja att köpa till. Trevlig foajé där man kunde få kaffe, vatten, bubbelvatten och godis. Man kunde även fylla på vatten och bubbelvatten i flaskor att ta med till rummet. Utöver badhanddukar att låna fanns det standparasoll att låna med sig!

5 days for my husbands 60th. Hotel excellent location. Room adequate with nice view towards church. Breakfast excellent. Staff lovely. Free tea & coffee & water in bar/reception area is a lovely gesture. Wouid stay here again.

Servicen var fantastisk. Vi hade kontakt med hotellet när vårt flyg blev försenat och det var inga problem då det var öppet 24h. När vi skulle resa kunde vi även ha kvar våra väskor i ett bagagerum under dagen. Läget på hotellet är perfekt för en helg i Nice och rummet var rent och fräscht. Personalen var så trevliga!

Op zes dagen dat we verbleven is onze kamer amper schoongemaakt. De schoonmaak service kwam wel telkens de kamer binnen om te kuisen tewijl er duidelijk een tag met ' do not disturb' aan de deur hing. Erg hinderlijk. Dus dat kan zeker beter.

All the reception desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The cleaner however just decided to barge in even though the ‘do not disturb’ sign was on the door.

Accueil trés bon et chaleureux, chambre fidèle aux photos, très typique et agréable...par contre, petit déjeuner pas digne d'un 4 étoiles et isolation inexistante dans les chambres. La partie la mieux isolée est la porte d'entrée de la chambre. Vous entendez et comprenez les conversations de vos voisins ( et pas que les conversations...) tout comme ceux qui discutent dans la rue, vous avez l'impression que tout ce monde est dans votre chambre.

The staff did their utmost to make our stay a pleasurable one, we fully appreciate it. The bathroom, bathtub in particular was in an awkward position, very tight and hard to access. But maybe this was just this one room. All in all, fully recommended.

Op zes dagen dat we verbleven is onze kamer amper schoongemaakt. De schoonmaak service kwam wel telkens de kamer binnen om te kuisen tewijl er duidelijk een tag met ' do not disturb' aan de deur hing. Erg hinderlijk. Dus dat kan zeker beter.

The hotel is a small hotel in a quiet street in the centre of Nice, close to the main shoping centre and walkable to the beach, the seafront and old town. No dining facilities but there are Michelin recommended restaurants in the same street. Focused on sustainabiltiy with several in-room ideas for conserving water and energy, most of which also reduce the hotel's costs. Particularly appreciate the replacement of plastic water bottles with self-service filtered water which with which you filll the galls bottles they provide. 'Superior' room was comfortable and pleasanly decorated in tradtional style. We particularly appreciated the comfortable bed. The small bathroom was cramped, required some agility to get in and out of the bathtub and was supplied with only large towel. Our stay was interruped by a fire alarm at 1am, apparently caused by a guest's cigarette but unnecessarily prolonged because no staff member knew how to turn off the alarm. Decoration work was going on in the reception area throughout our stay but only disruptive when the elevator was out of service for 12 hours - happily not when we had to take our baggage up to the third floor.

Because of a train strike in Italy, we were a day late getting to our stay in Nice. The Le Grimaldi folks refunded our payment for that day -- we didn't have to ask. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was quite nice; clean, comfortable, and quiet. Old-school funky, but in a fun way -- we prefer that to Holiday Inn sterile. Bathroom was great. Breakfast quite good. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely, comfortable, friendly place to stay in Nice.

Our stay was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. As soon as we walked in to check in we were offered a drink and the staff seemed genuinely pleased to see us. They couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be returning! It is also a perfect location to explore the beautiful area of Nice!

Mycket trevlig personal och bemötande. Hotellet ligger ca 8-9 min från havet. Även nära till Nice-Ville stationen om man vill åka en dag till Monaco (25 min). Kan absolut rekommendera detta hotell.

Centre of Nice, short walk to the promenade, welcoming hotel with complimentary water and coffee available in reception. Would have given 5 starts but shower was very awkward to use at end of bath in tiny room. No hotel parking and car parks in centre are 30+ euros a day.

The Grimaldi was an excellent hotel for the one night stay we planned for Nice. Just 12 minutes easy walk from Nice Ville station, we were greeted by very pleasant staff with an offer for free coffee which we needed after our train journey. The room was excellent. Very comfortable bed, very clean room and bathroom and easy access via the old fashioned lift. Super quiet at night. We slept well. Breakfast was more than adequate. Better than many hotels and just the right selection of hot and cold, sweet and savory for our needs. On our departure, we were sent our way by the super cheerful Ellen who is a model of perfect hospitality. We would stay again and recommend to anyone coming to Nice.

L'hotel è in un palazzo storico per questo sicuramente penalizzato negli interni soprattutto nei corridoi di accesso alle camere. La struttura risulta essere trascurata, presenza di polvere, stucchi saltati, rifiniture da vedere, sanitari da lucidare, asciugamani di scarsa qualità. Il prezzo alto sicuramente è per la posizione che risulta essere vicina al centro. L'insonorizzazione è scarsa per non dire nulla, si sentiva tutto dalla camera accanto. L'ascensore spesso bloccato (noi siamo stati meno di 20 ore e per ben due volte abbiamo fatto 5 piani a piedi, una volta con le valige). Staff carino e gentile. Lodevole l'assenza di plastica, l'acqua si poteva prendere da un distributore disponibile gratuitamente per tutti. Il letto matrimoniale erano due letti singoli accostati e fatti singolarmente. Per chi arriva in auto ci sono dei parcheggi nei paraggi ad un costo elevato, l'hotel non ha alcuna convenzione, noi abbiamo pagato 28,50 per meno di 24 ore di sosta. Colazione varia, croissant e pain au chocolat (vuoto) e cotti troppo.

5 days for my husbands 60th. Hotel excellent location. Room adequate with nice view towards church. Breakfast excellent. Staff lovely. Free tea & coffee & water in bar/reception area is a lovely gesture. Wouid stay here again.
